Chapter 16

Third person's  POV

"Cassandra we have a problem" Tyler mumbled into his ear pierce as he stared at the strange man dressed in black that stood before him. Joshua remained silent observing the man's every move.

"Tyler my boy!" The man greeted his voice laced with enthusiasm. He pulled Tyler in for a bear hug squeezing the life out of him "you son of a bitch nearly killed my daughter!" The enthusiasm never left his voice as he squeezed  tighter.

Tyler tensed trying to break free of his hold. Joshua remained silent refusing to help Tyler. They were standing right in front of the palace gates. The guards exchanged glances staring at the trio confused.

"Joshua Richards, are these two with you?" One of the guards asked hesitantly. The council member nodded slowly masking his confusion. Once again the guards exchanged glances. The king hadn't informed them, that he was expecting visitors not to mention it was the middles of the night.

Clearing his throat Joshua refusing to compromise continued with the plan. He pulled out a piece of paper from his back pocket. He showed it to the guards who stepped aside immediately.

It was a letter from Author. Although it was false infromation the the signature was real. Amanda and Author were good friends so it didn't come as a surprise when he wanted to help them break her out.

"We've informed the king of your arrival. He's waiting in the throne room" one of the guards said refusing to make eye contact. Jonathan let go of Tyler then pushed past Joshua glaring at him.

Joshua turned to Tyler confused. Both remained silent for watching the strange man walk through the large metal gates which lead to the palace. The only moved when the guards began to look at them skeptically.

"Who is he?" Tyler asked in a hushed tones walking through the gates. Joshua didn't say anything. He knew exactly who he was. He was Jonathan Black, Amanda's father.

He gulped as sweat trickled down his forehead.

It was at that moment, he knew, he had fucked up...

*

"Joshua, Tyler" his majastey greeted his clouded golden eyes staring down at the two alphas who shifted uncomfortably.  Jonathan held his ground clearing his throat.

The king raised a brow before locking eyes with Jonathan. He sprang up from his throne. Shock evident in his features. He blinked a few times making sure he wasn't seeing things.

"Jonathan?" The king asked in shock taking a few steps towards the trio. He passed the alphas focusing his attention to the reaper. He stopped dead in his tracks piecing everything together. His brows furrowed together his jaw clenched.

"Your head for the girl aren't you?" The king gritted out glaring at Jonathan. He masked his fear keeping a straight face. If he had indeed killed Amanda as he said he would have, he would have a lot more to deal with.

"Of course I'm hear for the girl. She's my daughter, I can't let you kill her now can I?" Jonathan chuckled at the end. The room went silent as both alphas turned to look at the supposeded mystery man.

His daughter?! Tyler thoughts were scattered. He was confused, shocked and angry. Didn't Amanda say her father died. No she said both her parents died. He couldn't quite wrap his mind over the fact Amanda had lied to him.

While Tyler was trapped in his own thoughts the king and Jonathan continued there conversation.

"I see you came prepared" the king said noticing Jonathan was fully armed. He knew there was no way he could just walk from the reaper without at least half of his home being torn apart.

"Just in case. Now are you going to give me the girl or are you going to risk the lives of everyone here?" The king kept quiet. He was trying to find away out of this but clearly there was no way out.

Taking a deep breath he sighed. The glances at the alphas who were both frozen in the place. Tyler had completely forgotten about the rest of the group who were outside waiting on his orders.

"I'm assuming your here for her too" Tyler nodded briefly not finding his voice fast enough.  The king hummed in response before leading them to a darkened stair case.

Knowing they would have no problem seeing in the dark her continued.  The stench of blood and death filled the air as the went deeper into the dungeons.  A few cells built into the wall poped up every now and then each cell holding a rotting corpse.

They continued there journey until they reached a dimly lit corridors. The stone paved walk was had cells on either side. These cells were empty unlike the ones before. The continued to walk the stench of blood growing stronger.

The king stopped in front of an large metal door. Jonathan froze. He knew behind that door was his daughter. And he knew the once that door opened he'd have to explain his disappearance all those years ago to an emotionally unstable assassin.

Not the best family reunion. But it will have to do.

The king gulped opening the door. Jonathan peeked inside and what he saw had him frozen in his place. His daughter along with three others were chained to the walls. Each bruise, bloods covering there bodies.

Jonathan gritted his teeth turning to look at the now trembling king.

"She'd better be alive or I swear I'll make you wish your mother kept her legs closed" Jonathan warned his already dark eyes even darker. The king nodded slowly rushing over to his prisoner who was unconscious.

He hurriedly unhooked the chains freely the girl who fell limb into his arms. Jonathan growled. In an instant he was right in front of the king. He slapped the king across his cheek. His body was sent flying into the wall right beside them where Samantha was chained.

He bent down to pick up his daughter. He turned to the alphas who immediately got to work not wanting to be his next victim. While the alphas freed the rest of the prisoners someone else had made there way down.

The sound of heavy foot steps filled the air. The steps go louder until nothing. Slowly the metal door opened reveling a tall, lean man most of his body covered in his thick leather coat.

He wore metal boots, which explains why his steps were so heavy.  He had on black trousers with gun holsters and a strange silver can attached to his belt. His white shirt clung unto his skin showing of his muscles. That wasn't was was striking about him. No it was the old fashioned gas mask he had on hiding his face from the rest of the world.

Jonathon turned to look at the man his eyes traveling downwards to what he was holding. Let me rephrase that, to who he was holding. It was a young boy no older than seven dressed in a superman onesie. His brown eyes held fear which was already written across his features.

"Zion..." Jonathon breathed, his knees almost giving out. He quickly composed himself remembering his unconscious daughter. The alphas turned to look at the young boys there mouths hanging open.

"Brother..?" Joshua whispered staring at the boy in shock. He looked so much like his father! So much like him! He still had Amanda's brown eyes but everything else screamed Richards. Tyler however remained silent freeing Samantha from her chains. The man in the gas mask turned to Jonathon who was still staring at his grandson.

"Am I interrupting something?" The man asked his voice muffled. Everyone remained silent leaving only the strange man's breathing to fill the silence. No one moved except for Zion who was struggling to get free.

"Who are you?" Jonathan asked his voice shaking. The man  in the gas mask laughed though most of it was muffled.

"That's not important, what's important is that you hand over the girl and I'll hand over the boy. Wouldn't want him to die now." The man asked chuckling at the end. Jonathan growled holding the girl closer to his chest. He wasn't going to give up his daughter,  he wasn't going to abandon her. Not again.

"Never" he growled eyeing the strange man. His jaw clenched, his nose flaring.

"Fine then" the strange man said. In one swift movement he pulled out his hun and shot both alphas who fell to the ground. They were to slow. Both grunted in pain. Tyler groaned as Samantha's weight was no on him. The strange man now pointed the gun to the young boy, Jonathan's grandson.

"Last chance. Hand over the girl. Or the boy gets it"
