Darkness!

Surrounded by the foul stench,

Of putrid fear,

Engulfing me in it's fog

Helpless!

I lay there,

Hoping to be saved,

As I scream till my voice cracks

Afraid!

That no one will hear me,

And I'll be stuck here for eternity,

Corrupted by this symbiotic mist

All hope for me is gone,

But then,

Light peaks through the mist,

Like a lighthouse in the distance

I'm saved!

Which Angel has come now,

To extend to me their hand,

And pull me out of this abyss

Who has such mercy on me?

That they'd dare risk being infected,

Tell me!

Who are you?

Who descends down into darkness,

To elevate me to the light,

I wanna know,

Who are you?

Sacrificing your glow,

Who are you?

Because I couldn't envision being seen,

When this mist is too dense,

I couldn't imagine being heard,

When I couldn't hear my own voice,

So as I laid helpless and afraid,

I now shine brightly I'm saved

Yet I only have one question,

Who are you?
