Ariana Burr...er....

"Just you wait, just you wait!" The song blasted. The caretaker burst through the door.

"Alexis, please, answer the door!" She screamed. I nodded glumly and turned off my phone. I walked downstairs and opened the door. Ariana was looking at me.

"Ariana Burr...errrr...Hello!" I said. Ariana facepalmed.

"I take it you forgot about today?" She said. I looked at her.

"Uh, noooo? Hamilton. At six o clock, not one pm." I said. Ariana walked into the house.

"I specifically said that I would have liked to stay a few hours to know the adult I'll be spending a few hours with, so that she does't turn around and kill us!" Ariana said. I blinked.

"She's...erm...not...ehhh...eeeehhhhhhhmmmmm." I said, then walked over to the couch and sat down. I cradled my head in my hands. Ariana sat down. My caretaker sat down opposite Ariana. I coughed nervously.

"I understand that you are Alexis' guardian?" Ariana said. Then she proceeded to interview my caretaker. A seventh grader, interviewing a full grown adult. It was a bit unnerving to see that. I politely excused myself and went to my room, where I drew, and wrote on HammyWrites. It was a bit unusual to have a child like me so well versed on politics and such. No matter, I suppose.  It was five pm when I realized we should have eaten at least dinner and started driving towards Hamilton. I ran downstairs. Ariana was sleeping on the couch and my caretaker was nowhere to be found. I shook Ariana.

"Wake up! We have to go to Hamilton." I shouted. Ariana started.

"What time is it?" SHe said. I pointed at the clock then raced upstairs where I made the transformation from mild mannered Alexis Zander Hamilton to Alexander Hamilton, founding father and secretary of treasury. A few minutes later, Ariana joined me and dressed up as Aaron Burr. We ran out the door, Ariana holding our tickets. We ran to the theatre.

"I'm sorry, honey, but we can't allow unsupervised minors here. And thats when I noticed Lafayette and Jen and Hera and I assumed Hera's parents walking in. I shouted towards them.

"Oh, mama, there's Alexis and her friend. They don't have an adult with them...lets bring them into our group." Hera said. Hera's mother nodded and they absorbed us into their group. The ticket er was confused but let us in. We sat down, and watched the start. A man walked on stage. Leslie Odom Jr.  Well, not really. He got off the cast a year ago, so it was his stand-in. But Aaron Burr walked on-stage.

"How does a bastard, orphan, son of a whore, and a Scotsman dropped in the middle of a forgotten spot in the Caribbean by providence impoverished in squalor..." The man said. I watched the familiar beat fall on as the actors danced and walked around the stage and sung. At Alexander's part...something happened. I closed my eyes, to blink, and they stayed closed. I could hear the music and singing but there was a film over my eyes, like a movie curtain.

"Alexander Hamilton. My name is John Laurens! I'm another Aide-de-camp for General Washington." A man with curly hair said. He had freckles spattered on his face. Like Jen. Jen. John. Huh...And my mouth opened with me having no control over it.

"Yeah, My name is Alexander Hamilton. It's great to meet you John. I hope that  we can talk soon, but I have to file some papers for General Washington. So if you'll excuse me...Sorry.." I said. I had no power over me speaking. The guy in front of me was beautiful.

"Oh, ok Alexander...I'll see ya later." John said. He and I walked away. My heart was beating fast.  I was in love with John? But I mean, this guy was adorable. Eventually the film lifted over my eyes and I...I guess woke up? Ariana was looking at me weirdly. I suppose that was allowed. Well...a familiar beat came on. Dun dun dun dun dun.

"1776. New York City." The company said. I listened. Oh, So I had only missed the remainder of Alexander Hamilton. Now we were starting Aaron Burr,Sir.

"Ah, Sorry. I just blanked out." I said. Ariana nodded. We went back to watching and there were no more events, but I felt weird the rest of the night. It was a bit unusual for the remainder of the play. I kept feeling like I knew the people in this play. Not the actors. The people they were portraying. I looked at Ariana at the intermission.

"Are you okay?" Ariana said. I nodded.

"17, se-se-se-seventeen, 1789." The company said. Burr walked back on stage. We were starting What'd I Miss. ah well. The play was fine, we went home, me looking at Jen curiously. She made me feel... incredibly self-conscious. I didn't know it at the time but something strange, stranger than previous events was about to occur. I remember going to bed, but not sleeping, at around ten o clock. Ariana had gone home, she lived near Hera, and I just opened my MP3 player and listened to music until the clock struck eleven, then I fell asleep. I woke up the next morning, more than mildly confused when I saw...a tent?

"Hamilton! General Washington requires your presence." A soldier said. I jumped out of my...cot. Huh? Where was my bed? I said nothing and the soldier left. I quickly put on, to the best of my ability, my uniform. Then I rushed towards the biggest tent. Inside was General George Washington, commander of us revolutionary peoples. He beckoned for me to sit down.

"Alexander. I heard you were trying to defend me because of some statements General Charles Lee said? Don't. It's not worth the risk and it will waste energy we should save for the battlefield." George Washington said. I could feel myself getting angrier.

"But Charles Lee insulted you!" I blurted. George sighed.

"GENERAL Charles Lee. And we have a war to fight, lets move along." The General said. I nodded glumly and went back to my tent. John approached me.

"Heyyy. Are you ok? I heard what Lee said about the general. Are you going to do something about it?" John said. He smiled, and my heart skipped a beat.

"I can't disobey direct orders from the general. He'd ship me off to who knows where, and that certainly wouldn't guarantee me a battalion!" I said. John nodded.

"Hey Alex...you...are the closest friend I've got. If you need me to duel Lee, then lets get to it. Judging by last battle, Lee is a coward in the real fighting. This should prove no different in a duel. You'll be my second." John said. He placed a hand on my shoulder, and then coughed. Then he removed it. I knew what he meant. I kissed him on the cheek and then walked back to my tent. JOhn walked in the direction of Charles' tent. And as if suddenly something happened, I woke up. I was in my room. Bed, dresser, MP3 player. I was Alexis. In my own room. But did I just have the strangest dream about...Hamilton? I don't know. I checked the time. 6:15. Time to get ready for...oh. It was Sunday. Never mind. I went back to sleep and a few minutes later there was a slight disturbance by my window, but I assumed it was birds. I checked anyways.

"Hello? Is it birds? Or insects? Whatever." I said, and went back to fall asleep. I slept like the dead for the rest of...like three hours. In the morning, someone awaited me.
