Chapter 1
Glamour industry was seemingly busy in preparation of its upcoming fashion event at Goa. It had a beach theme with models from all over India would represent them in summer attires and beach friendly costumes. There was a gossip going on, about the Zeal agency and its brooding next generation model, Ila Maurya and the height of nepotism. Well people alwaysshowedinterest in discussing about other's lifestyle, only they knew which kind of joy they were getting from it.
Cameras were focused and page 3 reporters were ready with their equipment and enthusiasm to cover the event when another gossip spread like fire, the youngest business tycoon Adhrit Ray would attend the show. Many high society people went there in hope to hitch themselves or their daughter with the man of millions dream.
Indrani Maurya, mother of Ila Maurya and the CEO of the Zeal agency, took the charge of event. She did her best only to draw attraction of Adhrit, whom she wanted as her son in law from his childhood only. They were family friends and knew each other from decades.Waiting for result she was afraid of her own daughter, if she will destroy her reputation; but more than that she was afraid of public taunts, that might affect her daughter badly and she couldn't afford that.
Ila Maurya had a divine beauty having nothing to overlook, she had a pair of alluring almond eyes, sharp nose and thick brown locks cascading till her waist and skin polished as silver shine. She was a beauty queen yet very much stubborn and little bit proud of herself. Extra care and overprotectiveness as only child from her parent made her a little spoilt and obstinate queen.
Ila only worked as role model who only appeared on advertisements of entertainment company the Zeal and she did walk for some fashion events but not like mega one as today's international event, even many super models were rejected to appear on such event. She just wanted to be centre of attention, which she got from whole India for her beauty but her childhood friend and crush.
Adhrit never spare a glance to her, if we say correctly he avoided her like a plague. According to him, Ila was all about mixture of dumbness and show-off proudly plastic beauty. He could put her in his department store as mannequin, but not in his life. However, that never stopped Ila to try to draw his attention further. She was even obstinate like a stork to catch fish. Specifically those ignorances made her to force her mother to give her a chance in that international show by which she could be able to catch his view.
AA enterprises
Rather than giving name AR, Adhrit preferred AA which logo moulded into each other from extreme opposite and create a mirage of Illuminati symbol. He did not know why he did that, but he felt completeness with two A's than his own name. Employees of various desks and departments tried to do everything neatly as they knew their ruthless boss's mood swing problems. It was hundredX more than that of a pregnant woman. Adhrit Ray never smiled, but if you would notice him chuckling, laughing then you should be sure that somebody was going to pay that day. On what amount and in which way would be decided only by him, mostly mercilessly.
Adhrit had decided to visit his department store that day. His PA Rohit, his house butler Ravi's son followed him wherever Adhrit went. Those two people were in Adhrit's life whom he never fired, only warned them countless times, threw his anger towards them. Although Rohit was scared of Adhrit like hell but he knew that, his boss had a golden generous heart and he preferred to stay glued to him nevertheless, how much anger, tantrums he faced. He was always grateful to Adhrit for what he became. Adhrit helped him financially and his influence made it easy for Rohit to get study at renowned university.
That day Adhrit got up with a jerk. Those baseless prince princess dream and royal palace, palanquin lady, everything that seemed quite absurd in twenty first century, made him feel irritated and to some extent exhausted as his brain could not decipher a single thing. His annoyance went rocket speed to high altitude, for he didn't see anybody's face in his dream. Top of it Ila's participation in such a huge event just to get a chance to become role model of his department store to stick with him whole time made him more agitated than before. He never liked anybody who sought attention, so he didn't visit the fashion show at Goa.
In other way did he aware that this was one of their past birth deeds, so Ila behaved this way; so as he? Humans were mere toys in front of destiny and its game.
At Padampur railway station, a girl with a big bag jumped down from a full speed train followed by another man and rushed out of station like speed of lightening. After sometimes near by a tea vendor they stopped and took a breathe of relief. After ordering tea and few cookies, they both looked at each other as their eyes gleamed more than the brightness of sun and lips stretched into its biggest curve.
" Adi, how much you get, I mean what amount those things will cost." asked the man in his late twenties, as his eyes were sparkling and he literally drooled over looking at the bag held tightly by the girl.
She shot him an annoying glare and a disgusting face, " Don't call me with that name. It feels like changing my gender."
"Okay. Adrika."
She made an action of puking at him, " This time no share for you, even I did those things which I never did in my life, that chipko Samarth and his lustful stares. aargh."
Adrika banged her fist on the bench she sat and continued her complaining, "And you the great Jamyang Wangchuk, stood there like a statue."
"What could have I done, when you started your seduction dance first and now you are blaming me" Jamyang replied with an innocent face which he wasn't.
Adrika spitted out the amount of tea and snack she shoved at once, "What seduction? Do I look like a serpent in disguise who will dance with naagin-dhoon? You are crazy."
Before their titter patters continued for more, they both noticed Samarth was running to them breathless. They got up and ran away before anyone could decipher anything.
"Stop them, they both are burglars. I lost my everything for such a con girl." Samarth was shouting aloud with the expectations that someone from public would help him, while following them matching their running speed.
After sometime, they reached to one small bridge on a small river, away from the crowd situated in little interior area surrounded with thin cover of forest. They crossed the road in zigzag move as if they were intoxicated. Shocking Samarth they both climbed on bridge edge and threatening him, "leave us otherwise we will do suicide by jumping down from here"
Before Samarth could reply them, they both saw a police van was approaching toward them. They gulped in fear and with a hurry while coming down, their feet slipped and both fell down into river. Samarth got scared thinking as if they were dead and screamed by calling their names and cried.
The great sub inspector, Adyant Sahani came out from the police van and slowly put his steps toward Samarth counting each steps dramatically, and stood in front of Samarth giving a stylish pose with his latest edition of black cooler on, from chorbazzar.
A physique like no less than any top class actor, serene dimple smile and a cool collected aura made Adyant drool worthy. The most detectable thing in his features was his eyes. A pair of blazing orbs which created hallucinations of molten lava. The wind felt like touching him ever so gently as if he was his own creation.
"You pushed them to river in front of a police man. You committed a crime in front of me, the great SI Adyant Sahani. How dare you moron?"Adyant shouted scaring the hell out of Samarth, giving a light punch on Samarth face.
"I didn't do anything, that Tibetan monkey and that opera queen cheated on me. They coned me and took away my money and jewellery." Samarth replied crying while explaining himself.
"Are you dumb? They conned you and what were you doing?" Adyant whacked his hand in air for which Samarth cried more loudly.
"Let me guess. Oh! There was a girl. Did you do anything to her?" Adyant asked adjusting his waist belt which Samarth mistook as if he was taking out his revolver. He dragged himself to Adyant and held his both legs, "I swear, I didn't do anything. Don't kill me."
"There is only one way now."
Samarth looked hopeful, " I will do anything for that. Just tell me."
"Look, actually there are two ways. One I have to arrest you and put you in jail for third degree torture and then court proceedings and then directly to hell while hang by yourself." Adyant told in one breath as if those were the things would happen in just two days. However, a fool like Samarth got scared seeing his seriousness.
"And the second way?" Samarth asked without wasting a minute.
Adyant kept silence with a blank expression on face while smirking inside and doing his zumba dance mentally like anything.
"I told you truth. Trust me, I swear on you they both jumped off by themselves. I didn't force on them", Samarth almost begged looking helpless on Adyant's silence.
"You joker, don't dare to swear on me." Adyant warned.
"Sorry. Swear on God."
"So you want a settlement for this matter." Adyant asked mischievously weaving his thoughts into proper direction.
"Oh! Yes, I can do anything and everything toget out of this mess; I want to go back my home. Tell me what I have to do." Samarth asked in a lower voice, but keenly.
Adyant acted to think deeply by holding his chin in thumb and index, and smiled as if light of his brain got charged, "how about two lakhs."
Samarth was shocked and stammered, "Why two lakh? It's a very big sum. And why should I pay when I didn't do anything?"
Adyant started to scare him by saying how he was going to arrest him, the third degree torture and constitutional articles and sections to punish murders, and about his family reputation and bla bla. Samarth got frightened and gave Adyant extra one lakh and ran away.
After Samarth disappeared from the sight, Adyant went near bridge and shouted, "Both of you get out soon. I know there is only water present up to height of your knee."
Both Adrika and Jamyang came out from water. They were trembling due to the cold breeze hitting their wet bodies. Both stood silent bowed down their head, "Sir, actually...."
They couldn't finish when they saw Adyant was giving them a rattled look and exploded in laughing.
"Ssssshhhhhh....you both little rascals." Adyant tried to stop them.
"Sir.." They again called only to irritate Adyant, as they knew he got agitated hearing that word. According to him, it made him feel like an old while he was only two years elder to them. Those three had an unbreakable bond from their childhood as they brought up in same orphanage. They were considered more reckless but only those three left who actually care for the centre in which they grew up. Other so good-natured kids from their time had no relation with the orphanage once they got out. Impudent, insolent, unfaithful brats; as they called them.
.
Adyant narrated the whole story. The great trio did a salsa dance in complete opposite manner on the bridge forgetting the time and situation.
"We never visit a high class pub and restaurant. This time we will go. We have plenty of money now." Jamyang said dreamily with the excitement imagining the girls at pub who shakes their hip like mad.
Adrika slapped his head and put some sense in his brain for why they did such work at first place, "You idiot, did you forgot we promised orphanage children to help them in their further study. Moreover Nina needs five lakh urgently for her transplant surgery and your party is important?"
Adyant came forward while taking her in his side embrace and said dramatically," my opera queen, my Adi , take a chill pill yaar. Your wish will be filled so as this Tibetan monkey's too."
"Don't call me that." Adrika whined to which both males ignored.
"Opera queen? Tibetan monkey? What's this Adi?" Jamyang asked referring Adi that time to Adyant. He made fun of Adyant and Adrika by calling them Adi. It was fun when he was calling for one and both responded or another one. He teased them to death while Adrika always complained not to call her as Adi getting deaf ears, but Adyant had no problem as usual.
Adyant just described how they renamed as Opera queen and Tibetan monkey by Samarth just few moments ago. By the time he finished, he was laughing like maniac remembering his scared expressions. First Jamyang and Adrika made faces but they couldn't control themselves and joined Adyant later in his laughing session.
In addition, they weren't aware that they were interlinked from past birth. It's their fate, which would always try to make them happy and peaceful no matter what. It was the biggest blessing they got from destiny itself.
In the bucket list of Adhrit's infuriation, one was waiting in traffic. Being a super impatience man, he wished he should use his chopper more for his transportation. After waiting for more than ten minutes in a traffic jam, he felt his ten minutes of life were wasted. He glared at his PA Rohit, who turned away his face as if he didn't saw him glaring. It was better in a way. If he did, who knew Adhrit started his scolding on poor guy, reasoning him being responsible for traffic jam even.It would be no wonder if someday we heard Japan had tsunami and Rohit would be blamed for it by Adhrit.
Adhrit felt helpless for his behaviour too. He was so restless, so imbalance, always unhappy. Peace was a very dreamy word for him. He couldn't get why he was like that. It's not that he didn't try, he tried to change himself more than anyone could imagine. Nevertheless, at the end of day, he was being thrown away like the same arrogant, unhappy and restless soul. Game of fates! He didn't know it was a curse he was facing. It was his karma of past deeds which he had to pay till it's time was over.
Adhrit was frustrated by waiting for the signal to turn green at traffic when someone banged on his imported expensive car abruptly. His temper rose to beating the hottest Sahara desert looking at the scratch happened on his windshield.
"What the hell?" He yelled when turned to open the window but his each movement stopped as if his existence become froze like stone statues. He felt a new raw sensation in his body, which he was craving from eternity, like a Jacobin cuckoo waiting for rain impatiently. Peace and calmness; that's what he felt in presence of a stranger.
Adrika mumbled a 'sorry' from opposite side of glass and was pulled away by Jamyang to cross the road as the light turned green. He wanted to stop her, but couldn't. He was so engrossed in her view and the unfiltered feelings, he forgot everything around him.
That face which was covered half by her midnight hair, due to the bang she did with his car. She definitely had no porcelain skin like plastic, but golden like rising sun. Her eyes, like those of newly bloomed lotus petals, which held a million stories behind it like a mysterious tale. Everything about her felt him like celestial. She was a nymph definitely, who had the power to capture whole of Adhrit, with his mind, heart and soul; able to made him silence without doing anything. Adhrit was all smiling, not like a smirk but the real smile, serenity in it. He closed his eyes to feel her presence more that created havoc in him.
His PA, Rohit was more than shocked seeing his boss was smiling like a child. He seemed happy for his boss, not knowing what's coming in his way.
Adhrit was checking company's account, but couldn't concentrate. His whole thought was on the stranger he saw at traffic. With anger, he threw the file on his own helplessness. Rohit started collecting those files from floor with trembling hands. He knew today his boss's already sour mood went more off after that girl bumped into his car. Rohit first time witnessed his boss calmed his nerve immediately after shouting one sentence. He didn't know what was so special about that girl whose face even they didn't see properly, but important noticeable thing was Adhrit got more restless after seeing that girl and then he let out his anger in other things.
"Bring that girl to me within twenty four hours. How dare she scratched my car ran away without apologizing."Adhrit ordered Rohit almost in a threatening voice.
"Yes boss, I'll try my level best but I can't guarantee about that as we didn't get a clear view of her properly", said Rohit clearly, even though he was sounding like panicked kitten.
"You don't have to see her. I'll see with my own two eyes only.Don't dare to look at her; else you know the outputs you will be awarded with."Adhrit said mischievously holding his anger and Rohit stood rooted seeing his boss's sudden mood swing and instant possessiveness for a girl whom he didn't even see properly.
" But if I will not see her then how can I recognize her?" Rohit retorted betting on his life, almost afraid enough that he was ready to ran away from Adhrit's cabin. Because that time he returned on his statement first time, questioned back first time.
Rohit gulped hard when Adhrit came near him, caging him in his scrutinizing gaze only; but the most surprising thing happened in his life. Adhrit only smiled while patting his face, "do whatever you can but I want that girl in front of me by next evening."
Rohit understood Adhrit's seriousness but didn't get the reason for his sudden change, why?? Why he was mad about someone whom he never saw?? Even Adhrit himself didn't know what kind of emotion that was?? He felt completeness for that moment with mere presence of her; he felt as if he was getting free from every binding factor that caged his soul, he felt he got back his destination, his motto of life. A refreshing liveliness allured him to grab the serenity she was giving.
"I don't know who you are? I don't even know how you look, but I can feel your presence, your aura captured me fully. Just one glance of yours put me in such situations. I never attracted towards any girl but you. Your eyes, which spoke the deep mysterious things without saying anything. I strongly feel there is definitely a strong connection between us. If its you who is the answer of my puzzle. If its you who can give answer to my unnamed dream? I already lost myself into you with your mere presence. This Adhrit Ray will be always yours to be ruled over, my queen."
Adhrit smiled looking outside on his thoughts.
"My queen!" He felt proud and fullness when uttering those words with love, passion and commitment. He patted his racing heart to calm down as if it was dancing with joy to meet it's perfectly deserving owner.
"Come soon. I will be waiting for you, my queen."
The thing which fate already wrote for you, you couldn't understand that. Same thing happened with Adhrit. Adrika bumped Adhrit's car out of the enormous stood in traffic. Adhrit saw them and felt strange connection. Because, they were all linked from past birth. However, he couldn't figure out why he was after them. He would get answer with due time. You had to pay back for your Karma, being played by game of destiny. Waiting was the best thing, patience was virtue; keep calm, everything would fall in its original place.
