Sneak Peek Chapter 2
Third PoV
Artemis opened her eyes and looked around, and upon finding herself in her twin brother's temple on a hospital bed, she groaned in annoyance. She slowly got up and flashed on some clothes. The goddess was about to leave the room when her younger brother walked in with a clipboard in hand that he was looking at while mumbling about 'arrogant sis' and 'I'll kill that bastard.'
"How am I here, Apollo?" Artemis asked, annoyance flashing across her face.
"Some Toads brought you here," Apollo told her. "With a message. One that father is willing to go against because he believes their summoner to be an enemy of Olympus."
"I do not believe this man is an enemy of Olympus itself," Artemis told her brother. "Mainly because he knocked me and my Hunters out instead of killing us and sending us back here."
Apollo nodded.
"I agree with you," he said. "But Father is determined to have this Kirito dead by his Bolt and in front of the entire council."
The two then headed to the throne room. When they had arrived, Zeus spoke, "What happened Artemis?"
"A mortal defeated me and my Hunters," the moon goddess replied, getting wide eyes from the immortals. "I do not know how, but he moved fast. Faster than anyone I have ever seen. It took me by surprise, so I wasn't prepared for him. But next time, I will be."
"This mortal's name was Kirito, correct?" Athena asked, wanting a confirmation.
Artemis nodded, something bothered her though. As if that wasn't his real name.
"What did he look like?" Hestia asked as she tended to the hearth. "Was his hair raven black and his eyes obsidian? Or was he blond with blue eyes?"
"Why ask such a question sister?" Hades asked.
Hestia smiled slyly at her younger brother.
"That is for me to know Hades," she replied. "But if you must know, I found something out thanks to a dear friend of mine. And now, I am looking for a hero by the name of Minato."
Hestia then looked at her niece and said, "You said that he moved fast. How fast would you say he was moving?"
"Fast enough to be a blur, even to my eyes," Artemis replied. "Why?"
Hestia gave a smile that parents give their children when they know something they don't.
"You will find out, Artemis," Hestia replied, a smile still on her face as she returned to the hearth. "Just bring him here unharmed and I will give you all a hint. I promise."
"I am sorry sister," Zeus began. "But I cannot allow a mortal with that sort of power running around. Artemis, bring this Kirito here so that I kill him. If he resists, cripple him."
"Yes father," Artemis replied.
The moon goddess walked out of the throne room and towards her brother's temple, where her Hunters would be waiting whether they were asleep or awake she didn't know. But she did know this, once she found Kirito and his partner, she would skin them alive and leave them to her wolves.
