Chapter 01:

Eyelids lifted, revealing violet eyes. They narrowed scrutinizing the area. 'Where am I?' She thought, rising. Then a severe throbbing pain spread throughout her head, causing her to hold it. The throb brought something - awareness.

Her current name was Akira Nadai, the four year old daughter of normal citizens of Konoha.

Because of an accident, she had hit her head and had remembered the memories of her past life (Hikari Senju) - not all though. She couldn't recall the last year of her life.

'To reincarnate. Did I die? How in the world did I die in the first place?' She thought, not being able to recollect anything. Then she just distinguished since it was likely that she had perished. Did she die before Madara or he after her? If it was the first then she had broken her promise with him that she would never leave him alone when he was in his moaning period because of his little brother, Izuna's death. Her hands balled into fists gasping the white coverlets.

She needed to find out what happened to Madara, the Senju and Uchiha Clans.

When she sat up, the white coverlet dropping to her lap, a nurse entered.

The nurse was flabbergasted that the little girl was awake. Her and the doctor had just told her parents that she wouldn't wake up until the next two days and that was when they would allow them to see their daughter. She was about to call the doctor when, Akira inquired. "Nurse-san will I be able to go and buy history books. I want to learn about some events that occurred in the past ."

The nurse smiled wryly at her, answering. "No, you can't right now, Akira-chan. Since it's history what you want to know about, I may know." She started to check the girl's different vitals and head trauma.

"What happened to Madara Uchiha?"

"Madara Uchiha. He was the Head of the Uchiha Clan but he left the village. He even fought Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage and lost. That was his death day." The nurse informed, noting the girl's head wound was healing faster.

'So he did end up leaving the village in the end and even fought with Hashi-nii.' Akira sighed.

"What about the Senju and the Uchiha Clans?" She tried to question as adorably as she could.

"The Senju Clan no longer exists since those of that clan decided to intermingle with the rest of the Konoha citizens and Uchiha Clan as you should know is a noble clan that still stands tall." She replied, replacing the bandages.

"... What about Hikaru Senju? Do you know her? If so how and .... when and did she die?"

"Hikari-sama, the little cousin of First Hokage, Hashirama Senju and Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju. I don't know her exact age, but from what I can remember, she died at a very young age while pregnant. It is not known how she died. They had said the First Hokage was too depressed to say a word and Tobirama-sama who wasn't the Hokage at the time was too exasperated."

Akira's violet eyes widened. 'Pregnant. In the memories I can't remember, I had been pregnant? Plus how my death occurred, there is no knowledge. And if I had died young, then I most definitely left Madara behind and carried our child with me.' She sighed once more. 'I left Madara alone.' She gazed out the window, the night sky in her vision. 'Sorry, I broke my promise and I couldn't protect our child.'

"Is something wrong Akira-chan? Is your head hurting?" The nurse queried.

The child now possessing dark blonde hair shook her head. "No." She had been reincarnated. What her mother had said was true, but why could she recall her past memories? If a head trauma could cause one to recall their past life, then with how dangerous this ninja world was there would be a lot of people who knew of their past lives. Right now, Akira had no answer for this.

Then another thought came to her mind. If she had been reincarnated, was it the same for Madara? If so, she would like to find him and not allow him to suffer like he had did in his past life. And if he did reincarnate, how would she find him? Akira knew there was a high probability that he had reincarnated too, but right now she didn't need to worry about how she could find him. She had to train this body of hers first and worry about that later.

Receiving news about their daughter the next morning, the Nadai couple rushed to the hospital room. The pair was greeted by a scene they weren't expecting.

Their daughter was trying to do strenuous exercises while a nurse was trying to stop her.

The astonishment flew out of Haruka from the scene she had witnessed. She lifted and embraced her daughter. "My little Aki! Thank goodness that you're ok! You didn't know how worried mommy was!"

Akira was enveloped in Haruka's warmth. The last time she had been hugged by her mother in her previous life was when she was five and then her mother had shortly passed away due to a heart disease.

Mitsuru walked over to the pair, embracing his wife's shoulder. "Daddy was also very worried. But why were you exercising, Aki?"

That's what the nurse had wanted to know too, but she had left when the blonde haired mother had picked her daughter up.

"Because I want to become a ninja when I grow up." She answered.

Ninja? This was the first time Mitsuru had ever heard his daughter talk about this. She had said things about be a princess and marrying a prince, which was typical for girls her age.

Haruka's face had paled. "Aki, you can be anything, but a ninja!" She exclaimed. The mother knew the harsh training they had to go through, the type of wounds they received from missions and the high death rate. Even though the the job of a shinobi was a little high paying compared to others, there was no amount of money that could compare to a life- especially their daughter's life.

Mitsuru glanced at his wife who's face was filled with concern to his daughter who possessed a determined look in her violet eyes she had inherited from him. "Aki, why do you exactly want to become a ninja? It's not like our family is lacking in money."

Indeed the Nadai Family wasn't poor, not even middle classed but rich. Mitsuru had inherited the Nadai Family's business that produced weapons, tools and training equipment for ninjas and samurais.

"Yes, Aki whatever you want, daddy and mommy will buy it for you." Haruka stated. "There's no need for you to become a ninja."

"..." She was having difficulties saying 'mommy' and 'daddy' like how she used to before recalling her memories as Hikari Senju. ".... Daddy, mommy, that isn't the reason why I want to become a ninja. I want to become one so that I will be able to protect the ones I love."

"You're just four!" The blonde exclaimed. "We're suppose to be protecting you, not the other way around. Mitsuru, say something!"

Mitsuru placed his finger on chin, "what exactly can I say, Ruka? Indeed, I agree with Aki not becoming of a ninja because of the grueling training and that there are chances that she may lose her life on the missions that she goes on, but I have never seen the such resolute in her eyes before. Plus she even has a valid reason as to why she wants to become one."

"Mitsuru this is just the blabbering of a child who has barely even pass toddler age yet! They always say they want to be this and that. Just couple days ago after she said she wanted to be a princess, she wanted to be a journalist! This is just a phase and I will not allow our daughter who is going through such a phase to kill herself because of it!"

Akira thought, 'mom, I'm right here, you know. But she is right about children going on about their dreams in what they wanted to be in life, but I'm not a child. And this choice I made will never be changed.'

Mitsuru agreed, nodding his head. "Indeed that is true. But this is the first time I saw such eyes on my daughter, that I don't want to disappoint her." He held up a finger, "how about this? We'll hire a professional shinobi to come train Aki in the basics for a period of maybe three-four months. And if Aki survives through it and passes the test of that shinobi for her being qualified to attend the Academy, then we will support her in her dream of being a shinobi, Ruka."

Hearing this, Haruka pulled her husband out of the hospital room. "Mitsuru-"

The black haired male held a hushing finger to his wife's soft pink hued lips. "Ruka, even just learning the basics is difficult. So imagine our little Aki trying to survive for a 3-4 months period. It's likely that she would quit even before the time is up. And even if she's serious about becoming one, it's unlikely that she would pass the test given to her. It's not like we don't have the funds to go through with this project to entertain her. After she sees how hard the training is or how the difficult the test is, she would think about how arduous it would be to be the real thing. Then she would never entertain the idea of becoming a ninja or an occupation close to it." He closed his right eye, "so what do you think?"

Mitsuru Nadai truly was a shrewd business man.

Hearing her husband, Haruka nodded her head. There was no way her daughter would want to continue the training pass even a week. That girl couldn't even walk streets of Konoha for long when they had went shopping, to visit family members, for other festivities and more, wanting either her or Mitsuru to carry her the rest of the way. "Ok, but you must tell that ninja you're going to hire, that he should be gentle but not too gentle to at least let her know how hard it is."

"Yeah." He answered.

The two walked back into their daughter's hospital room. Akira had heard everything they had discussed. Too bad she was going to survive that training and not pass but ace that test.

"Aki, we have decided that if you survive 3-4 months of training under a real shinobi and pass his test, you can become one. But if you don't you must never bring up this idea again." Haruka declared.

Akira nodded her head, "I understand."

"Great." The mother allowed a breath of relief to escape her, placing her right hand on her chest.

Mitsuru watched his wife and daughter, 'so who will win between them? Really, this is the first time I saw Aki like this. Even though I am more towards Ruka with this, I wonder what the end result would be.' For some reason his instinct that he used for business deals told him that his dear spouse would be on the losing end. 'Well I guess I should arrange a meeting with the Hokage to see if he would be available to do it.' A certain image of a ninja came into his mind.
