Chapter 8

3rd Person's POV

"He's well known for his cocky attitude in that school, a piece of irritation to him and he will not go down without a fight, good thing you did manage to defeat him." Serena explained as they arrived at Diantha's office.

Two days have passed since that incident, Ash decided to ask out his identity to his co-teammate.

"Silver's a jerk everytime you see him, that's the reason why he wasn't accepted as a representative of the school for the upcoming tournament, Ms. Diantha can't bare that kind of attitude, maybe it'll be the cause and reason for our downfall." Miette added with a humph sound.

"Wow, I didn't knew about that." Leaf commented.

Ash still can't move on the fact that he said vulgar things to Koharu, he swore that if he'll meet him again, he'll surely get what it takes if he mention the same thing over and over again.

"But, I did managed to see the battle from afar, what was that Gardevior? I could've sworn it wasn't mega evolution." Miette asked in an excited town.

Ash sighed and decided to spill the beans.

"It's no use hiding any of it, but anyways, what me and Gardevoir did was Bond Phenomenon." Ash stated in a matter of factly tone.

"Bond Phenomenon?" Miette and Serena asked in curiosity.

"Yeah! It was so cool when I battled it in the tournament these past years, though it completely obliterated my team easily." Calem excitedly said and frowned at the last part.

"Just as he said, Bond Phenomenon or Battle Bond is a special kind of pokemon evolution that is only unique to numerous trainers, this type of phenomenon is so rare that the chance of finding a trainer who can do this is only up to three percent." Koharu explained.

Ash was satisfied at that and gave her a smile.

"Wait, so basically, we just easily found three Battle Bond users?" Calem asked.

"Three? Why would you say that?" Leaf asked.

"Because obviously the two of you are with him for so long, so it's kind of understandable that you two can also do such thing." Calem replied.

"Ah, no, right now, we can't do such thing yet, but Ash's been helping us out, I don't know if me and Leaf can do the same thing as what Ash does in a battle." Koharu explained with a smile.

"Is that so? I was hoping if you two could do such thing." Miette said and frowned.

"Maybe some time soon." Ash said with a smile and patted both girls' heads, Leaf and Koharu pouted at that.

"By the way, what are we going to do now? Two days after and that tournament's about to start, shall we do some joint training?" Serena asked her team.

The others agreed and went to a private battlefield of the school.

The six of them trained their cooperation and teamwork, the tournament works as six versus six, something new for Ash, Leaf and Koharu.

While they're training, Diantha and Professor Sycamoren spectated from afar.

"Why not Silver?" Professor Sycamore asked.

Diantha sighed and glared at Sycamore.

"Augustine, we both knew the behavior of that boy, plus it'll be a hindrance for the three since they barely knew him." Diantha replied.

"There must've been a reason behind it." Sycamore responded.

"What do you mean?" Diantha asked.

"I've known that boy for so long, he wasn't like that before, maybe a serious talk with him will change his view of things." Professor Sycamore explained.

Diantha was silenced for a couple of seconds.

"Still, I can't let him have the tournament his way, besides, we already have Ash and those two girls." Diantha replied.

Professor Sycamore stood up from his seat and was about to walk out from the room.

"But maybe, after the tournament, you're gonna change your mind, that boy went through a lot, it's just natural that we'll help him." Professor Sycamore informed.

"He's a student of KBI after all."

After that, he walked out, leaving Diantha in thoughts.

...

The Plasma Forest, a not so well-known place that is faraway from towns and cities, it is located at the southern part of Kalos, what makes this hard to find is that the forest is covered with illusions, making it not visible to Town Maps and such.

The place is filled with strong pokemons, some are high leveled, some are of fossil and endangered pokemons, just like Challenger's Cove.

Though there's this one person who's been taking care of the forest ever since.

The old man is devoted to protecting the forest at all cost, he's with a pokemon that makes the forest named as what it is.

The pokemon appears as a humanoid pokemon having the features which resembles to a tiger, it's yellow fur have black stripes all over the body, it's elegance is what makes it suitable for a guardian of the forest.

Everyday, this pokemon patrols the forest, looking out for the small pokemons while the big ones are away.

But lately, this pokemon had some visions, visions of a trainer with Z-marked cheeks that will soon be his master, it can't still accept such vision yet, so it asked the old man about it.

"I see, then the prophecy's coming to a truth." The old man muttered.

"Zerah?"  It asked, confused.

"Listen, Zeraora, it is what the prophecy says."

"Sparks link thy one another, for thy hero shall emerge, thus, Thunderclap Pokemon supports, together, evil shall perish, returning peace thy oneself."

Zeraora listened to every bits of words the prophecy said, it fell silent for a second.

"Follow the spark of your heart, you will meet that trainer." The old man informed the Thunderclap Pokemon.

Zeraora had it all, he's determined to find this trainer, and will recognize him as his master, and with that, they'll fight evil together.

He looked at the horizon with determination and howled loudly through the Plasma Forest.

...

"Lucario, Aura Sphere!"

"Oh no you don't, Delphox, Mystical Fire!"

Both Ash and Serena fired off their final moves, both sides decided for a one on one match in order to test each other's ability.

Lucario's Aura Sphere did manage to overpower Delphox's Mystical Fire, but managed to dodge halfway from it.

"Alright, let's call this a day for now, good job everyone." Diantha called out as she clapped her hand.

"Yes, Ms. Diantha!" All of them replied happily.

"I'm sure you'll just do good in that tournament, after all, you six did test one's strength, so I'm pretty sure you six knew each other's strength and weaknesses, use that to your advantage." Diantha explained and they nodded in response.

"Let's call this a day for now." Diantha said.

"Alright! Let's eat! I'm starving..." Ash said nervously.

Everyone gave him a nervous look.

"That's just you Ash." Koharu said with a smile.

"Let's go? My treat." Diantha said.

"Yes!"

They're about to walk out when Ash did felt something.

Jolt.

He halted as he felt a spark on his chest, it's not that dangerous, it's actually harmless.

"Ash?" Leaf asked as she noticed Ash stop.

"Ah, r-right, sorry." Ash said and ran towards them, putting aside that weird feeling for now.

To be continued...
