3rd Person's POV

"Everyone, mega evolve!"

As soon as Koharu, Leaf and Ash yelled that, a blinding light engulfed their pokemons and did the familiar phenomenon.

The three had changed to their mega evolution form and gave an intimidating aura as soon as the light died out.

The Gardevoir's skirts have gotten wider and they have more elegant form than before, while Gallade had that shield-like thing on it's arms and a cape on it's back that made him look like a real warrior.

"There it is everyone! The mega evolution form og Gardevoir and Gallade!" The commentator yelled excitedly.

Ash smirked as he saw the reaction of their three opponents.

"You're messing with the wrong opponent, Gardevoir, Calm Mind." Ash commanded his shiny Gardevoir.

"Oh no you don't, Chesnaught, Pin Missile!"

"Greninja, don't let her do it, Water Shuriken!"

"Delphox, aim at that shiny Gardevoir and use Mystical Fire!"

The three quickly commanded their pokemons, hoping to cancel the stat increase move.

"Gallade, repel with Psycho Cut!"

"Gardevoir, assist with Shadow Ball!"

Both girls took the initiative and blocked both three attacks with their own. Thanks to that, Ash's Gardevoir successfully raised it's special attacks by two stages.

"Time for us to take the offensive, Gardevoir, use your own Moonblast!" Ash commanded, and with that, Gardevoir had it's Moonblast ready and fired it off towards Greninja.

"Greninja, dodge it!" Miette desperately commanded.

But to no avail, the Moonblast blasted way faster than the usual and it managed to hit Greninja right into the stomach, fainting him on the spot.

"Greninja's out!" The commentator yelled.

The brought awes to the audience, and Miette can't just believe what she just saw.

"Gardevoir, barrage them with Shadow Ball!"

"Gallade, let the Shadow Ball gain more speed with your Close Combat!"

Leaf and Koharu did their job, Leaf's Gardevoir managed to summon lots of Shadow Balls and fired them off, but with skill and precision, Gallade did added momentum to the Shadow Balls by using Close Combat on them and it was way more faster than before.

"Chesnaught, Spiky Shield to cancel them all!" Calem quickly commanded as he noticed the harm on it.

"Delphox, block with Mystical Fire!" Serena did also command.

Chesnaught had it's back ready and Delphox did release it's own Mystical Fire, but to no avail, Chesnaught can't handle it because it's way too much, and the Shadow Balls went past through Mystical Fire easily and hit Delphox.

Both fainted on the spot.

There was a brief silence before the commentator did his job.

"Th-The school representatives' pokemons are all unable to battle! Which means the winner for this match are the challengers!" The commentator yelled in excitement and disbelief at the same time.

With that, the audience gave loud roars and cheers towards Ash and the two girls.

The three were shocked at what just happened, everything went fast just like that, it took them a while before they can comprehend what just happened.

"W-Well, that didn't go as expected." Calem was the first one to say something, and somehow, he accepted the loss, probably because he did already saw the potential of his opponents.

"Yeah, Serena, we're you having fun?" Miette asked the blonde haired girl.

"H-Huh? Y-Yeah, I did..." Serena quickly said as she heard her name, she instantly got out from her trance.

The Gardevoirs and Gallade reverted back to their original forms and went besides their trainers as the three made close distance to the other three.

"That was a good battle!" Leaf said in a cheery tone.

"Yeah it was, didn't knew these two girls here were as strong as you Ash." Calem commented.

"And we're completely taken aback by that mega evolutions at the same time." Miette did followed as she scratched her head in embarassment.

"You three are strong too, we're not planning to do it but since you pushed us to the limit, there we go." Koharu replied with a smile.

"You three are awesome..." Serena murmured.

All they did was smile on Koharu's comment.

"That was a pleasant battle you six displayed there." Diantha casually walked towards them and arrived at the scene.

"You three are perfect for the last spot." Diantha commented with a satisfying nod.

"Thank you Diantha, and we promise we'll do good in that tournament." Ash said with a grin.

"I'm counting on that, don't let us down." Diantha said with a wink.

"And once again everyone, let's give them once again, a round of applause!" The commentator yelled excitedly.

But little did Ash and the the girls know, there's one particular greedy trainer whom Ash caught his attention.

"Good work beating them Ash, Koharu and Leaf, you know those three had a win streak for a long time if they'll battle as one." Professor Sycamore stated.

"Really? I didn't knew." Ash replied in a rather slightly surprised tone.

"Yeah, and you three did broke the record." Professor Sycamore said with a laugh.

"By the way, I'll be staying here in the office for the time being, why don't you explore the school while you have your free time?" Professor Sycamore stated.

Leaf peaked up.

"We'll do that professor! Let's go Ash! Koharu!" Leaf excitedly said and dragged Ash and Koharu out of the office.

All Professor Sycamore did was laugh at Leaf's cheery behavior.

The school really didn't let them down, the hallways were neat, and so was the battle stadiums and battlefields.

They even visited the rooms where classes are still being held.

They did talked to different trainers and sharing battle strategies because why not?

Currently, Ash and the two girls were walking just beside a small battlefield, there were still trainers around so that makes the atmosphere still lively.

"I wonder why I didn't know Diantha made this school." Ash stated out of nowhere, the girls laughed at him.

"That's because we didn't even dared to go here in Vaniville in the first place." Koharu replied with a small smile.

"This brother can be dumb sometimes." Leaf said with a grin.

"Touché." Ash said and just gave them a smile.

As they walked around, Ash can't help it but feel like they've been watched by someone.

His eyes were diverting everywhere to search for some hostile person watching them.

And one guy caught his eye, a red-haired guy that wears a black coat, seems that he's been following them for a couple of minutes.

They halted for a second, causing the two girls to look at him with curiosity.

"Ash?" Koharu asked.

"If you're gonna follow us everywhere, then might as well tell your business while you have time." Ash said to particularly no one and waited for a response.

The two girls looked everywhere for some suspicious trainers.

"I'm surprised you did managed to sense me." The red haired guy said.

"He's so smug-looking." Leaf whispered, Koharu can't help it but agree.

"You're too obvious, state your name and business." Ash replied to him.

"You don't want to know my name, all I want is that Gardevoir of yours." He said with a smirk.

Ash's brows twitched and looked at him.

"Gardevoir's not for trade." Ash plainly said, Koharu and Leaf can feel the irritated tone on it.

"Oh no no, it isn't a trade, more like, a bet." The guy said, the smirk is still on, and it kind of annoyed Ash.

"Bet?" Ash asked him.

"Yes, bet, if I'll win the battle then you'll give me that shiny Gardevoir of yours." The red haired trainer said.

Ash was quiet for a while.

"How about, no?" Ash said and proceeded to walk away and gently grabbed Leaf and Koharu's hands.

But as he was about to go away, the guy did said something that might trigger him.

"Oh, maybe because your just too scared to battle me, that's why denying an invitation is the only way."

With that, Ash halted midway.

"Oh and by the way, I'll be taking that ponytail haired girl of yours if you don't mind." He said with an evi grin.

That's that, Ash's eyes narrowed, his expression were as angry as a Kyurem getting awakened by disturbing noise.

Ash looked at him with an angry expression. As he looked at him, a certain pokeball shaked violently.

"You're gonna regret messing with me and Koharu."
