3rd Person's POV

A week before the Pokemon League Tournament at Indigo Plateau, from Saffron City, the gang headed towards Viridian City for the registration, Ash, Leaf and Koharu entered the Viridian City pokemon center in order to sign up.

"Welcome to the Pokemon Center, how may I help you?" The familiar nurse joy of Viridian greeted happily.

"I'm here for the league Nurse Joy." Ash replied to her.

"Very well then, please present your pokedex and show your eight sets of badges to me." Nurse Joy said, at the mention of the word badges, Ash sweatdropped at that. Ash proceeded to have his pokedex scanned, and the hard part comes in.

"Your badges?" Nurse Joy repeated.

"Uhh, I only have one," Ash trailed off and showed his Boulder Badge to Nurse Joy.

"But young man, we wont allow you to---"

"Uhh you see Nurse Joy," He said and picked up the card Dragonite gave to him.

"I also have this." Ash said and presented the card with the 'W' mark on it, it also contained Lance's signature. Nurse Joy was genuinely surprised at the unfamiliar card, but she knows that he's a wild card from Lance's, the signature says it all.

"Pardon the delay young man, you showed it late, anyways, you'll be joining in the semi finals, seeing that you're a wild card." Nurse Joy said while bowing her head.

"N-No need to apologize Nurse Joy, and what do you mean by that?" Ash asked the nurse.

"Normal competitors are needed to participate in the first round, but since you're a wild card of Lance's, you'll automatically be placed on the semi finals." Nurse Joy explained.

"I see then, thank you very much Nurse Joy." Ash thanked the nurse.

"And by the way, here is your room key, your room has two beds." She stated and handed to Ash the key. He thanked her again and went to the hotel they're staying in.

...

"Come on Sophocles, faster!" The voice of mallow rang throughout the pokemon center of Viridian.

The Alola gang arrived at the registration center, which is the Pokemon Center of Viridian, Sophocles came out last and is having a hard time catching his breath.

"Gladion, get yourself at Nurse Joy, I'll follow you." Lusamine stated, the two went to Nurse Joy and made the registration.

"Hi Nurse Joy, I would like to join the league." Gladion said and showed off his Pokedex and his card, signifying that he's a wild card of Alola. Although he also knew that there is one more wild card of Alola, he didn't knew the name though.

"I see, a wild card of Alola, having Lusamine and the Kahunas' signatures, very well, here's your room keys for your stay." Nurse Joy said and handed them their room keys.

"Okay, who'll share who?" Kiawe asked.

All of them sweatdropped and they'll be having a hard time dividing up.

...

N casually walked towards the registration panel and talked to Nurse Joy.

"I would like to join the tournament, Nurse Joy." N stated.

"Very well, the pokedex and badges please." Nurse Joy beamed.

"Here's the pokedex, but pardon me Nurse Joy, I can only show you this." N said as he handed his pokedex and a familiar card, Nurse Joy smiled.

"Alder's signature confirmed, here's your room key for you to stay before and during the tournament." Nurse Joy said happily as she handed him the room key.

"And don't forget, you'll be joining in the semi finals, not the elimination rounds." Nurse Joy reminded, N nodded in response.

"Much appreciated, Nurse Joy." N said and walked off.

'Zekrom, time to make your debut, I'm sure we'll meet Ash in somewhere in the semi-finals.'

...

"Hurry up Paul! You're slacking!" Brendan yelled.

"Just go first, don't mind me." Paul emotionlessly said and ignored the excited state of his.

"Still upset at the battle we had last week?" Brendan asked, giving Paul a sly smile.

"Don't remind me of those two." Paul replied gloomyly.

"Who knows? Maybe we can get our revenge if those two will join this tournament!" Brendan exclaimed, but Paul just ignored him. Brendan ran off towards Nurse Joy.

"Nurse Joy, we want to join the tournament!" Brendan exclaimed.

"We?" Nurse Joy asked, seeing that he's the only being in front of her.

"Yeah, me and the guy over there." Brendan said as he pointed out the purple haired boy just walking around.

"O-Okay? Please present your pokedex and gym badges." Nurse Joy stated, Brendan smirked and then he picked up two pokedexes, him and Paul's, 2 badge cases containing full set of Hoenn and Sinnoh badges, also him and Paul's, and two familiar cards from him and Paul.

"This is by far enough, seeing this wild cards are enough, let's see, Steven and Cynthia's signature confirmed, you may now enter the tournament's semi finals, here are your room keys." Nurse Joy said as he handed him his room keys, Brendan thanked Nurse Joy and informed Paul that he's already in the tournament.

...

"We're fine here, I guess?" Leaf said as she stared at the room, it was big, and as Nurse Joy said, it has two king sized beds, probably because of being a wild card, it also has it's own kitchen, bathroom and a small place which he thinks is for their small pokemons to roam around, so Koharu had her pokemons out to play.

"I guess I'm going to take the right side and you girls take the left?" Ash asked the two, Leaf and Koharu agreed at that.

He was about to dive in to the big bed when he heard his stomach rumble.

"Uhh, Koharu? Food?" Ash nervously laughed as he stared at the girls, Koharu just sighed and smiled, then proceeded to cook something since they still have there supplies.

...

It was nighttime, Ash had fallen asleep on his bed, Meloetta and Celebi is sleeping beside him. But the girls isn't asleep, they are wide awake, so they talked about stuff.

"Hey Koharu, still can't sleep?" Leaf said, rubbing her eyes.

"Yeah, in fact, I'm nervous." Koharu replied at her, still looking at the window.

"Nervous of what?" Leaf asked.

"About what N said, the disaster." Koharu replied and gave a big sigh.

"Hey, don't worry, you have us, you have Ash." Leaf said and gave her a sly smile, Koharu can't help it but blush.

"About that Leaf, did you notice that nothing have happened between us?" Koharu asked, that was bold of her.

"Maybe because the tournament is coming? But I know him, he's pretty dense." Leaf said in a matter of factly tone.

"I just can't believe I fell on a dense person." Koharu sighed.

"Don't worry, after this tournament, I'm gonna give you a push." Leaf said winked at the Galar girl, she flustered at that, they both laughed at that and moments later, the awkward silence kicked in.

"You know, it's been awhile since I left my father and Gou." Koharu said, breaking the eerie silence. Leaf just awaited for her to continue.

"I've always had a hard time saying to father that I want to go to a journey, and thanks to you two, it happened, and I didn't regret it." Koharu explained, giving off a sweet smile at Leaf.

"I'm happy to hear that Koharu, besides, I'm finding Ash his keeper so that there will be someone who'll take care of him, and I found her." Leaf stated and once again giving off her sly smile to her, Koharu's face was now beet red.

"Leaf! S-Stop it." Koharu shyly said, covering her flustered face.

"Well then, I'm gonna hit the hay, you should too." Leaf said jumped on bed.

"Right." Koharu said and she followed Leaf.

A week before the tournament, what could possibly happen in that span of time?

I'm writing this chapter 2:30 a.m, yeah, it's pretty normal to me at this time (well, depending on where you lived) I hope this isn't insomnia.

Anyways, good night, there may be a chapter tomorrow, who knows?
