Golem

The year had ended, more than three hundred stripes appeared on the book's pages, counting down to the day that their revenge would be fulfilled. They walked through the tunnel, which was cracked on some parts, not uttering a single word. They had talked about everything in that year so they didn't have anything to say now. They were ready. The only thing they had to say, were luck wishes, because none of them knew if they were gonna survive.

"Who says it?", asked Takobu looking at the end of the tunnel, where the golem was. He was looking at the stripes repeatedly, as his grandmother did.

"I'm not good with speeches", said Yorokobu. He had his knife in his left hand, squeezing the grip as it could fall any second. In his back he had a spear made out of Steve's aura. He used his mother's pants to tie it to his back.

"Have you ever delivered a speech?", they both asked, already knowing what his response would be. He shrugged his shoulders in response, trying to hide his embarrassment.

Steve sighed and said: "Well I will". He cleared his throat and with a confident voice said: "Well, a year passed and we are still here, and now we are gonna fulfill our revenge. Let's give it our best! and let's STICK TO THE PLAN!".

...

Suddenly, the Kobu brothers burst out laughing and between breaths they said: "You aren't good with speeches either", which made Steve feel a bit embarrased.

Later, when they calmed down, they continued walking. Steve, each a minute or two, said that they must stick to the plan he had worked on so they could win, and each time, the Kobu brothers said that they knew. They walked. And walked. They realized how much they had ran away from the golem. The walls weren't cracked anymore and they didn't seem to care. They just kept walking or "Saving energy", how Steve called it.

By each step they took, they grew more nervous. They still had incrusted on his memories how the whole bottom half of Celta's body was crushed. How it bled. How she had a calm face even if she had to endure such a pain. Takobu started trembling, so Steve put his hand on Tako's shoulder and reassured him that everything would be okay. He somehow was able to be at the same height as him, but he didn't think much of it.

Ten minutes later, they were in front of the room where the golem was. The Kobu brothers were trembling. They remembered everything they had lived through and how their grandma was always there for them. Takobu wasn't able to make the book float properly.

When Steve saw that, he asked "Do you guys want to do this other da-", but he was cut by Yorokobu who rushed to were the ear was with Takobu following him. "I'LL KILL THIS THING!!", screamed Yorokobu as he dug his knife into the ear's skin and Takobu launched a wid spell to it, cutting a hole.

When their grandma died, they sunk in desperation. They didn't know what to do. So when Steve made them remember their grandma's death-wish, they turned all those emotions into the desire for revenge. Those overflowing emotions were held inside their minds, growing by each passing day. Now, they were being expelled out of their bodies violently as they saw everything and anything but Steve as an enemy.

"IDIOTS, REMEMBER THE PLAN!!", screamed Steve as he rushed to where they were, knowing that the golem would fall on them. He managed to push them out of the way barely a second before the giant golem made a huge cloud of dust. Yorokobu pushed Steve off him, grabbed the spear and threw it with all his strength, but it bounced of the golem; and Takobu threw a sharp rock he had created, but the same happened. They were now in front of the golem, without the planned formation, and they didn't have the main weapon they would use, weapon Steve created using all aura balls he could create. The Kobu brothers realized the mistake they had made. So they ran. They ran away from the golem, not being able to make a single scratch on him. But it was cathing up.

Steve saw this, and while running he created the same thing he made when fighting the mind goblin. Then he threw it at them and ran in the oppositte direction to the exit so they could escape. A few seconds into running, he realized how stupid his decision was, but he couldn't back down. He kept running. He ran, but the golem was cathing up. He realized that even if he changed course and ran to the exit, the golem would kill him. So he stopped running and laid on the ground accepting his death.

The golem got to where he was and lifted his leg, ready to crush him. But it stopped. Then, the same deep voice they had heard a year ago, asked: "Kar, is that you? Why are you doing this?". Steve didn't understand, but he took advantage of the situation, and, with newfound hope, he ran away, looking at his surroundings where he saw the Kobu brothers, each on oppositte sides of the room. Steve smiled as he realized that the plan had started being executed.

"You sure change your mind fast", he shouted to them and they nodded, knowing that he meant that not a single move outside from what had been planned needed to be made.

Steve ran to where Yoro, who was running towards Steve, was with the golem chasing him. The black eyed teen changed his course so the golem kept following Steve and went behind them. Then he jumped to the golem's back and started cutting his stone-made joints, but he wasn't able to cut them. The golem stopped focusing on Steve and started trying to get Yorokobu out of his back, who was holding onto the golem by balancing himself and jumping when the golem tried to grab him.

"Tako! How much time left!?". Steve was asking that to Takobu, who was on the other side of the room with his hands, which were as pale as the snow on the top of a mountain, close to each other. From his hands, a white mist was leaking, which was intensifying by the passing of time.

"I don't know! Maybe five minutes!", Takobu shouted back. He saw how his brother and Steve were giving their all to disctract the golem so he was able to charge his attack. "I've been practicing this all over the year, but it's still hard", he thought as he tried to charge as fast as he could.

"We should start moving it towards Tako!", suggested Yorokobu, knowing that, somehow, his brother would be able to charge before the golem arrived to where he was.

"Yeah, lets do it", replied Steve while dodging the golem's attacks. He also was confident on Tako's timing.

Steve grabbed a tiny rock that was on the ground, then throwing it to the face of the golem, making it follow him. Yorokobu stopped provoking the golem, so it didn't pay attention to him.

After that, Steve, as he had practiced, started walking as silently as possible, only throwing tiny rocks on the path he followed. As he thought it would happen, the golem started following him, but faster than he anticipated. He continued doing that until they were next to Tako. Steve nodded and Tako also did; however, the golem didn't stop moving. He kicked Steve on the stomach, making him fly and hit a wall violently making him vomit deadly ammounts of blood.

In his head he heard a loud whistle, louder that a gunshot while he regretted saying that if something happened to him, the other two must stick to the plan, since Yoro was faster than him and Tako knew how to use magic. He wasn't able to hear what the other two were saying, well, if they were saying something. His eyes were blurry yet he could see how some organs had left his body, still being attached to him. Blood spilled out from his abdomen.  His heart was beating as fast as a profesional racer. He wasn't able to think straight until a clear thought came to his mind. "Aura comes from the heart". After thinking that, he created another aura ball and started creating thin strings out of it. He then grabbed his organs, some of them which he recognized and some he didn't, and put them inside his body. Then with the strings he started closing the wound. The pain was unbereable, either it was on his arms, his head, his chest or his stomach, this last one being the one that hurt the most.

On the other side Yoro saw what had happened to Steve and wanted to help, but he remembered Steve's words "STICK TO THE PLAN", so he jumped and put himself in front of the golem to distract him while Takobu finished charging. Takobu felt the same. His morals urged him to go save Steve, but he also remembered.

A minute later, Takobu had finished charging, so Yorokobu ran away, taking Steve in the process, who had closed his wound tightly. The golem turned his focus on Takobu since he had started screaming "COME GET ME". The golem started charging at him, but Tako released his spell, freezing everything in the room, with Steve and Yoro being barely out of the spell's range.

But it wasn't over. Yoro left Steve on the ground and went next to his brother, who was now firing flames out from his hands towards the golem. Takobu remembered when steve told him that he would need to use fire and air simultaneously so he created enough for them to breath and the flames to burn. Some cracks were listened and seen on the golem, so Yorokobu threw the spear towards him, with its speed being increased by Tako's magic, piercing through the golem on its middle, revealing a core, which was now broken. The spear kept its path, passing through the giant ear.

"Please... that must have pierced the ear's core", the Kobu brothers thought, but their worries were soon answered as they saw how the ear and the golem started desintegrating at the same time that the voice said "I knew you wouldn't die from that, Kar".
