It's already been a month, since Y/N was sealed inside the cube

Narrator POV

Y/N opened his eyes, as he was sitting on a bench, the sun hitting his face

He was still sealed inside the cube, and ssince time didn't passed, he was having a dream

A WEIRD dream

Y/N: I got kicked out of the restaurant because of the lack of cusotmers and financial crisis.... We're living on the worst timeline, seriously

He let out a sigh, before getting up, and stretch

Y/N: I just go and do my best puppy eyes to get another job I guess

This dream was way too realistic to just be a dream

Everything felt real, from the touch, the noises around him, and his feeling about all of this

And his unemployement too felt real

He kept going store after store, in hope to find a job, but....

Boss: Too young

Boss 2: Too old

Boss 3: Too masculine

Boss 4: You're a boy

Y/N: Ah yes, sexism, my favorite when trying to get a job in a world where mans are seen as trash

He got tossed out of the store, and got black listed, as he was sitting on the ground, looking depressed

Y/N: I'll never get a job like this...

A paper hit his face, as his eyes light up, and he took it, excited

Y/N: It's like that scene where the MC get the job of his life by a flying pa-!

Y/N: FUCKING TROLL!

He tore the paper in pieces, as he was fuming in anger

People were looking at him weirdly

Y/N: The fuck you all want huh?!

Citizens looked away, in disgust, as he sigh, getting up

???: Excuse me, you said you were searching for a job, right?

Y/N: Hm?

He turn around, and saw a woman, smiling at him

Y/N: I, indeed, said that

Woman: Then, Schicksal is recruiting through different jobs, going from cooking, serving customers, to children care!

Y/N: Children care?

Woman: Yes! Since Valkyries usually go to the front everyday, their families are left behind, and the husband, who is also working, cannot take care of the child. So, we're hiring babysitters for the Valkyries, when they go on missions!

Y/N: How mu-

Woman: Minimum wage, you're just a part-timer

Y/N: Meh, better than nothing. I'll take it. When am I starting?

Woman: Today!

Y/N: ...Huh?

Timeskip - Y/N POV

Y/N was inside the HQ of Schicksal, walking around the base, in search of the house he was supposed to go

He had a badge on his shirt, so people don't confuse him for an intruder

Y/N: Where the hell is that god damn house seriously....

???: What house are you searching?

Y/N: Ah, it's actually this house

He showed the adress to the person, not once looking at them

???: Oh! That's my house! You must be the kid they hired for our baby doll!

Y/N: I guess so. Name's Y/N L/N by the way

???: Name's Siegfried Kaslana, nice to meet ya, kiddo

Y/N stopped, blinking, before looking at the man who was smiling at him

Kid? Baby doll? Siegfried?

Holy shit, he was in the past?!

Y/N: Oh, the legendary knight. That's pretty cool

Siegfried: The one and only! Now, let's go!

They walked to the house, Siegfried placing his arms around Y/N's shoulder, like they were best buddies

When they arrived to the house, Siegfried opened the door

Siegfried: Cecilia! I brought the new babysitter!

???: Really?!

A woman hurried to the door, before hugging Siegfried, smiling happily

She then turn to Y/N, smiling brightly

Cecilia: You must be the new babysitter!

Siegfried: That's what I just said...

Cecilia: Hehe!

Y/N: It's nice to meet you Miss. I'm Y/N L/N

Cecilia: And he's so polite! I'm sure you'll do great! Oh! Let me get Kiana!

She went away, before Siegfried's hand grasped Y/N's shoulder, a bit forcefully

Siegfried: I'm warning you here kid, don't try anythi-

Y/N: I'm 17, what do you even want me to try?

Siegfried eyed him suspiciously, before bursting out laughing

And while laughing, he pat his back roughly

Siegfried: You're a good kid, I can sense it! Usually, those babysitters always eye's her up, but you only looked at her eyes. You're not like those bums!

Y/N: Of course, I'm straight up better

Siegfried: And you're cocky too!

Cecilia: Sorry for making you wait!

She came back, with a child in her arms, who was smiling brightly

Cecilia: Kiana, this is Y/N, he will be taking care of you while Mommy and Daddy are away!

Y/N: Sup

Kid Kiana: Woah! A big mister!

Cecilia let Kiana go, as she walked toward Y/N, who kneeled down to her

Kid Kiana: Neko Charm!

She went to hit him, in a playful manner, as Cecilia and Siegfried eyes widened

Last time it happened, the babysitter had to go to the hospital because of multiple broken bones

Cecilia: Kiana, no-!

Siegfried: Y/N, watch out-!

He took the hit, without moving an inch, and only blinked

Kiana laughed, clapping her hands together, and hug Y/N's leg

Cecilia: Are you... Ok?

Y/N: I'm fine, why?

Siegfried: Well... she just hit you...

Y/N: And? She's just a kid

Cecilia: It's a relief then! Everything you need is on the fridge! Oh, and she must NOT drink any soda, or any sugar that aren't for her! And also-!

Y/N: I'll make sure she gets her nap, she eats properly, she is clean ect, ect... Not my first time handling kids

Siegfried: You have experience?

Y/N: Way too much.......

Flashback

Y/N: GET YOUR ASS DOWN THAT GOD DAMN CORNER AND GO EAT YOUR DAMN VEGGIES!

Kiana: No! I don't wanna!

Y/N: Bronya! Stop playing that game and go eat! You're gonna collapse !

Bronya: The grind shall never stop, subject Y/N

Y/N: Mei! Not because you do the chores that you're forgiven to not eat your Brocoli!

Mei: B-But they taste bad! Brocolis are awful!

Y/N: Ah, you know what?! Fuck it! Imaginary Technique-!

Kiana/Mei/Bronya: THAT'S OVERKILL!

Flashback

Y/N: ...Way too much....

Siegfried: Anyway! We have to go, we'll be coming back tonight! See ya!

The 2 parents leaved, as Y/N and Kiana looked at each other

Kid Kiana: Games!

Y/N: No

Kid Kiana: Aw.....

Y/N: Super games

She looked instantly up, stars in her eyes

Kid Kiana: Yay!

And so, they played games, did a few dances together, and now, Kiana was drawing

Kid Kiana: Look! It's you!

Y/N: Woah, I look..... fat

Kid Kiana: No you're not! You're strong! But not as strong as my Papa!

Y/N: That, I don't doubt-

Kid Kiana: I'm hungry!

Y/N: Alright alright, let's get you something to eat

He got up, Kiana on his shoulder, as he went to cook her something

When everything was ready, he placed her on her chair, and started to feed her

Kid Kiana: Woah!

She tossed the empty plastic plate, Y/N moving his head to the side to dodge

But the plate being tossed, and Kiana's super human strengh, even at such young age, combined, it hit a wardrobe, as it started to fell toward them

Kiana's eyes widened, as she got scared, but this fear instantly disappeard, as the wardrobe stopped, glowing red

She looked at Y/N, and see he pointed his finger at it, as it slowly replaced itself, and everything that fell on the ground with it, replaced themselves on the shelve

Kid Kiana: Woah....

Y/N: You just saw me using my power

He looked at her, a finger over his mouth, and smile

Y/N: Keeping it a secret?

Kiana's eyes light up, as she nodded excitedly

The rest of the day went fine, as Kiana took her nap

When Cecilia and Siegfried came back, they thought Y/N would look exhausted, and desesperate to leave

But actually, he looked fine, watching over the sleeping Kiana

Y/N: Oh, you 2 are back. How did it go?

Siegfried: It went smoothly. Nothing to worry about

Cecilia: I suppose she gave you a hard time... It's ok if you say you don't want to come anymo-

Y/N: Nah, it was fine. Had a lot of fun, and she was happy all the way

Cecilia and Siegfried looked at each other, as they shared a similar thoughts

Finally a babysitter that will last more than a day!

Cecilia: That's a relief then!

Y/N: Oh, I have listed everything we did and what she ate, and what proteins and calories they had. There's everything on the notepad

He give her the notepad, as she read, and smiled brightly

Cecilia: It's the same that I would have made! Oh, you're talented for it, Y/N!

Y/N: Now, I think it's my time to leave. If you need anymore help, ask for me

Siegfried: We will without hesitation

He escorted him to the door, as Kiana slowly woke up, and saw Y/N leaving

She got sad, extending her hands toward him

Cecilia saw it, and instantly, mother instincts kicked in, and she send a glance at Y/N

Cecilia: A minute, please!

Y/N stopped, as he saw Cecilia smiling at him

Cecilia: Do you have somewhere to stay tonight?

Y/N: I do act-

Cecilia: Oh, you don't? How sad! If you want, you can stay over tonight!

Y/N: But I just sai-

Cecilia: You wouldn't refuse such a generous offer, right?

Siegfried: Forget it kid, she already set her mind

Y/N was strong, stronger than anyone else, but he couldn't win against one thing

A mother that wanted her child to be happy

Y/N: Ugh... Fine, I guess I can stay for the night

Cecilia: Splendid! You'll stay for the week then!

Y/N: Wait wha-

Cecilia: Kiana, Y/N is staying here longer!

Kid Kiana: Yay!

Siegfried: You lost the moment Kiana started to appreciate you, sorry kid

Y/N looked at the sight, smiling slightly, before closing his eyes

Y/N: Well... I think I have to live up to that....

His eyes glowed blue, as he was back in the black void of the seal

Y/N: Soon...
