Earlier - Narrator POV

Y/N was confused

It was easy, far too easy

Everything was going smoothly, and there were almost no resistance coming from Schicksal

He knew Otto had an interest in him, a great one even

And yet, he still haven't tried anything

Y/N: No Valkyries... No Honkai beast... Just me....

He was thinking, holding his chin, before Honkai beast started to appear around him

Y/N: There we go...

He turn around, ready to kill them, before they were all killed in a instant, by a squad of Valkyries, and their leader

Y/N: Oh? 

Valkyrie: Y/N L/N, you are asked by the Overseer

Y/N: Ah, I thought he wouldn't make a move. Lead the way then

They all gathered around him, escorting him to the lab

Y/N: Damn, I feel like I'm a honored guest

Valkyries: ....

Y/N: Tough crowd huh? 

They arrived to the lab, as the Valkyries stopped

???: Ah, you're finally here. I hope you enjoyed the little squad I assigned to escort you

Otto walked forward, and instantly, all the Valkyries around Y/N aimed their weapon at him, just in case

Y/N: I would have enjoyed it more if they weren't to blank and emotionless

Otto: Well, that is something we cannot agree with

Y/N: So, let's not beat around the bush. What do you want?

Otto: I want you to join my side. You are strong, Y/N, and you have no limits. Your potential is endless, and your view and mastery on Honkai energy is unique. You control it better than anyone in Schicksal or Anti-Entropy. Even some Herrschers don't control the Honkai like you do

He smiled, taking a step forward

Otto: I can guarantee your friends safety. I can make sure they all live in peace. The only thing you have to do....

He extended an hand, smiling

Otto: Is to accept to join my side. There's no need to escape it anymore

Otto POV

I have seen and studied you, Y/N

How you act, how you feel, and how you handle things

You would do anything to protect these girls. You have grown attached to them, and you see them as your family

He took a hold of his coat, and slowly started to tear it off, his eyes glowing blue

He moved his arms, catching the scythe of Rita, and the punch of Fu Hua, as the impact of the hits send everything around them flying back

They got outside of the lab, as all the Valkyries except Amber got out to bring support

Otto: Amber, prepare the cube

Amber: Yes, Lord Otto

Otto: What are YOU supposed to be, Y/N......

Narrator POV

Y/N landed on top of a building, as Rita and Fu Hua stood on the ground, ready to fight

Rita: Master Y/N, it seems you have taken the wrong decision

Y/N: Yo, Rita. Didn't thought our second meeting would be like this. Kinda sad, for you though

Fu Hua: Y/N, stop. There's no need to-

Y/N: I don't care. I do whatever I want, and it's to save Kiana

Rita: Miss Tesla and Miss Himeko have already been captured. There is no need to resist

Fu Hua: Rita, don't provoke him more!

Y/N: You maid

He pointed at Rita, his voice calm and steady

Y/N: Second time we meet and second time you understimate me. I'll take care of you first

He dropped from the building, landing in front of them, and move his index finger, taunting them

Y/N: Come on, bring it. What's your problem? It's your boss who said....

He walked forward, getting between them

Y/N: There's no need to escape, right?

Rita took her scythe, going for a slash, as Y/N kicked the blade up, taking Rita by surprise, and losing her balance

He soon ducked down, grabbed the wrist of Fu Hua, and use her like a baseball bat, to hit Rita, and send both of them sliding back a bit

Before Fu Hua can realize, Y/N was already in front of them, about to kick them, if it wasn't for Rita using the handle of the scythe to block it, but still got pushed back toward the lab

The Valkyries rushed at him, as he dodged effortlessly, pushing them back, but not attacking them

Rita and Fu Hua got up, and see the sight in front of them

Fu Hua: He is pushing them back while making sure to not hurt any of them, like he did with us....

Rita: And, he have stopped using his technique too. He know that if he use it, there will be too much casualities

Fu Hua: It means....

They both took their stance, serious

Fu Hua/Rita: We can focus on the attack without caring about the defense

They were about to attack, before they both tensed up, when Y/N looked at their direction, with a giant grin on his face, his eyes shrinking

He jumped away from the group of Valkyrie, rushing toward them, and avoiding all the attacks

They were about to defend themselves, but Y/N only rushed past them, going for inside the lab

Fu Hua: He isn't aiming at us.....!

Rita: But at Master Otto...!

They rushed after him, as he was faster than them

He slided on the ground, ready to attack Otto, who stayed calm, smiling

But before he could, he used his energy to create an energy field, to push back Rita and Fu Hua, who were attacking from behind

Y/N: Are you 2 sure it's a good idea? The more you push through the energy to hit me, the more energy I use to maintain it. I don't think the Overseer can handle it, don't you?

Fu Hua: Wha-?

They both got pushed back, as Y/N smirked, walking toward Otto, who was pushed against a wall, pinned from the force of the energy field

Y/N: Heh.... Hehehe...!

He keep walking closer, before being close to the Overseer, standing in front of him

He put his fists forward, to push harder, as Fu Hua yelled

Fu Hua: Y/N! Stop it!

And then... in a instant, the body of Otto exploded, as blood covered the wall and ground

Fu Hua: Otto...

He looked at the blood, before turning slightly, eyeing them from the side

Y/N: Next

He turn back, going for the 2 Valkyries, before he stopped, as he saw Rita was... smiling?

Rita: Since the Overseer isn't here anymore, I think I should warn you about something. This area have a barrier that nullify any sensor of Honkai energy, or communications. And while you were busy with us....

The screens light up, as Y/N saw destruction all around the world

Rita: The Herrscher of the Void woke up, and have started the 3rd Eruption

He was about to turn around, before he saw Theresa, Bronya and Mei, fighting against the Herrscher of the Void

Rita: And your friends have engaged against the Herrscher too

Before the meeting, Otto briefed Rita on the goal of the mission

Otto: Y/N isn't like the rest. He's capable of cold logic. He can assume some degree of sacrifice as long as the goal is completed, and his friends are fine. But with both the death of the innocents, and the life of his friends at risk, he will start to think desesperatly, and will change his mind. His weakness are his closed ones, and so, to get him on our side, we will use that against him

Rita: Think, ponder it, focus your mind-

Her thoughts were cut, as her eyes widened, alongside Fu Hua and all the Valkyries that were around him

He already made the sign with his hand, as his eyes glowed a deep blue

His Authority expanded, not limiting to the HQ, but to the entire planet

And so, his focus was maximum, aiming at the most dangerous beast, that were in the air, in the water, or on the ground

He landed on the deck of the Hyperion, out of breath, as he let go of what he had in hand, and looked up

Herrscher of the Void was looking down at him, with an arrogant smirk

HoV: Human?

Y/N: I'm currently on edge right now... So I give you 2 choices... Either you go back to sleep peacefully....

His eyes glowed, as he glared at her

Y/N: Or I make sure you die a second time....

HoV: Oh, really? Then...

Y/N POV

She dropped something on the ground, as it was a cube, with many honkai symbol on it, as it started to glow...?

This isn't good, I need to-!

I turned back, about to run, before I heard... a voice I wasn't expecting

???: Hello, Y/N

I stopped in my track, before looking back, and see...

Cecilia Schariac?

Cecilia: I wanted to thank you, for taking care of Kiana all this time. But you've done enough, you can rest now

A fake....? A transformation technique...?

Yet, it feels so real...

No, I recognize it...! It's Void-

Before I could register what was happening, I got trapped, not able to use any honkai energy, nor move a muscle

Y/N: Tch...!

The Herrscher laughed loudly, descending to the ground

HoV: Not so tough now, Human? It was a little trick another human offered to use, to trap you

Narrator POV

The Herrscher of the Void walked forward, standing in front of Y/N with a confident smirk, before back-slap him, making him spit blood

HoV: I knew, from our first fight, that a direct fight wouldn't go my way. So, I thought of doing something else. But this human already had a plan all along, so it was easier to work with him

???: And I must say, I didn't thought I would have to put so much efforts to trap you. This illusion I created worked perfectly, since we needed you to stay still for 20 seconds

Someone appeard to the side, as they could see Otto, his usual smirk on his face

Y/N: And of course it's you behind that.... What, got upset that I didn't joined your ranks, and decided to seal me away?

Y/N: Even if their plan failed, I wouldn't have been able to take Sirin on... I used far too much energy before.... My metabolism isn't the same as the others... I cannot recharge my energy at will. I need to use everything I have first, then, only at this moment, I will be able to recharge my energy... But it would leave me wide open some time, and I would be defenseless...

Otto: Perhaps, but this isn't the time now. This cube was created in the previous era, as a way to seal the power of the Final Herrscher. But in the end, only 30% of it's power got sealed. How strong could that Herrscher be

He smiled, before snapping his finger, as the seal started to close

Otto: I am no monster, I will unseal you one day. Perhaps a thousand year, or maybe in the next Era? You are just too strong, and get in the way of my plan

Y/N: Just shut up and seal me already. I'm getting sick of seeing your face and that smirk of yours

Otto: If you say so. Goodnight, Y/N L/N. We'll see each other in the next world

The seal closed, as Y/N disappeard, and the only thing left, was the cube, on the ground, as Otto picked it up

Otto: Mission, accompli-

He was cut off by a burst of Honkai energy errupting from the cube, as it got way too heavy, and he let it fall to the desk

HoV: What the-?!

Otto: Tch! I can't believe this guy....!

The cube was cracking slightly, before it stopped, stabilizing itself

Otto: The cube have trouble adapting to his power...!

Inside the seal, Y/N was laying down, in a black void, smirking, while bouncing in the air

Y/N: That last burst was just for me to get rid of the energy I had left....

He looked at his arms, and see the Honkai infection was gone

Y/N: A place devoided of Honkai energy, and where time doesn't pass.... I seriously screwed up this time

He stopped bouncing, before looking up, with a smile

Y/N: I'm counting on you, everyone

Timeskip

Kiana woke up, confused, and tired

She had no idea of what happened, as she was on a island, on the concrete, near a city, at night

Until she got up, and looked at the sea, and everything returned to her

The damage of the Herrscher of the Void, the attack on her friend, the sacrifice of Himeko, and the sealing of Y/N

The next instant, she was on her knees, vomiting in disgust

She scratched her hand on the concrete, cutting herself, the blood trace seen on the ground

Kiana: Kill me.....

Tears fell from her eyes, as she pleaded

She keep crying in desesperation, hurting herself, before she stopped, as she sat down

She looked at the horizon, her eyes dull, almost dead

Kiana: Otherwise, I'll just be....

The screen turned black, as the only thing heard, was the voice of Kiana

Kiana: A murderer that killed innocents, her teacher and her best friend
