To stop a planet
Heyyyy.....I keep saying I'll publish then life happens and I lose all motivation...that and I spent 4 months watching all of one piece when I wasn't working....oh well here ya go, the second to last chapter of the war (until all of the real romance and endings happen)
I ran alongside the rest of Team Jiraiya, hauling ass to get to the battlefield that was just barely out of my field of vision. Even from here I could feel the ground rumble beneath our feet. The air was thick with chakra, invading my senses with hundreds of chakras spiking and fading as the battles commenced.
Everything was fine and dandy until one already powerful chakra spiked greatly; Madara's I'm guessing by the sheer force of it. Whatever jutsu he was using was dangerous if it required that much chakra.
"What the fuck is this." Even Hidan, who was by NO means a sensor, could feel it. Shisui and I exchanged a wary glance and with an unspoken agreement between all of our team members, we took off at a speed much faster, and much more taxing, than before.
As soon as we were in range for my Byakugan, I took a look at the battlefront. "Shit shit shit shit. Madara's fully revived and the bastard is hurling moons at people." There is no Gaara and no Tsuchikage to stop this one, but no matter what, we have to stop it. "Jiraiya-sama, can I go ahead?"
"We'll be right behind you." I bit my thumb, the sharp prick of my teeth cutting into my skin. The summoning seal formed on the ground and with a large plume of smoke Muramasa appeared in all of his giant lion glory.
I jumped on his head, patting his mane softly. "What can I do for you kit?" His low tone rumbled out.
"I need to be there, now." Muramasa took off, each bound covering a large distance at what is basically super speed. An explosion went off. It was so powerful it threw Muramasa and I backwards. The sky was covered in ash and small rocks rained down. I know exactly who created an explosion like that.
"Kit, are you ok?" The lion asked as he got up, shaking off the surprise before he started moving again.
"Yeah, I'm fine. What about you?" I felt around his chakra, feeling no injuries in the slightest.
"Who do you think I am?" He demanded, trying to sound offended but failing significantly. I cracked a smile.
"Yeah, yeah, you're right. I'm so sorry for thinking anything could hurt the great lion king." I activated my Byakugan, looking at the front again. The meteor was destroyed completely, breaking into pieces. Both Deidara and Konan's chakra were covering the rock and it seems as if everyone is still relatively unscathed from the attack. The main problem is the second meteor; gotta love Madara keeping it canon.
I began weaving signs the closer we got. I pulled any and all moisture from the air I could and began to transform my internal chakra as well. If I'm going to slow this thing down long enough for someone to destroy it I'll need a lot of water, more than I've ever produced. "I need you to get me right where the mini planet is going to crash." I can feel the power thrumming beneath my skin, this was going to work no matter what.
"Of course." Muramasa prepared for his final bound, building up power in his hind legs to cover the rest of the distance in one go. "Are you ready for one hell of an entrance?"
"I've been waiting for this moment my whole life." With that, the lion king leaped with a lightness that was ill fitting with his massive stature. He let out a mighty roar, drawing everyone's attention as we barreled towards the planet. Water style: Great Raging Waves. Water came pouring in like a tsunami, forcing everyone on this battlefield to try and get above the water before it washed them away. I pressed my hands together, feeling the pull of the waves.
Water wall. All of the water at my command shot up like a giant pillar, pushing against the planet. "The cavalry has arrived." I couldn't see Madara, but I didn't really care to look for him yet. My focus was on stopping the giant ball of death. However, he sure as hell didn't miss me. A smirk tugged at his lips as the area flooded with water, another player has entered the game and although female, it was evident I could hold my own at least in the jutsu sense.
"About time you got here, yeah?" Deidara swooped down beside me, covered in ash and soot. "Did you see that! It was a masterpiece, true art!"
"Do you think you can do it again?"
"I used the rest of my clay un. I need at least 10 minutes to make more."
"Fuck." Deidara took back to the sky while the rest of the Akatsuki team went after Madara and his clones.
The two forces were at war and the planet was winning, I could feel it pushing against my chakra, trying to slam into the earth and wipe out my friends. I screamed, pushing more and more against the gigantic rock. I could feel it slowing, not by a lot but it was slower, I just had to keep it in the air long enough to get destroyed.
"How long do you think you can hold this jutsu up woman?" A baritone voice echoed across the clearing. It was powerful, mocking. I looked over to where he sat completely unbothered. Wow, I know he's scary and can kill me with a look but holy hell Madara is hot. "Surely you cannot last until your allies are ready to destroy another one. Why not put everyone out of their misery and let go, it will be a quick death." He gestured to the Akatsuki members, all who looked worse for wear.
"Ah, Madara, sorry to disappoint but I make it a point to not kill my friends. Besides, I'm not alone." Madara sensed them at the same time I saw them. His slight smirk turned into a full on maniacal grin. Sand burst from the ground, making gigantic hands that gripped the sides of the planet. My hold over the jutsu began to slip, only for another chakra to join with mine and make it stronger than it ever was. Trees grew from nothing, thickening and covering the ground in a lush forest. Those too pushed with my water, bringing the planet to a brief halt. Only for it to start breaking through everything again. The cavalry had arrived.
"HASHIRAMAAAA!" He launched himself at his rival, only to be swatted aside like a fly. Hashirama leveled him with a look.
"Not now Madara." More trees grew from the earth, replacing the broken ones, yet the planet didn't stop coming. It was us versus gravity and gravity was winning. In the blink of an eye the boulder was gone and in its place was a grinning foxy blonde. As soon as the pressure was gone, I released my control, shoulders slumping in relief.
"That was the biggest rock i've ever seen 'ttebayo! I wasn't sure I'd be able to teleport it!"
"Naruto!" "Naruto?" We cheered and Naruto shown with pride. Tobirama looked slightly, oh so slightly bewildered at his appearance.
"Thank you Muramasa, you may go now. I'll bring you something yummy later." I slid off him and pat his nose. He licked me slightly and nudged my hand happily.
"I want milk bread this time. Have Hanabi-hime make it, hers is better."
"I promise." With my promise, the lion de-summoned himself.
"Hina-chan, your mouth's bleeding, what happened?!" Naruto dropped to my side and Kakashi and Sasuke finally made it over to us, the latter rolling his eyes at Naruto stealing all of the thunder.
I brought my sleeve up and scrubbed my face into the navy fabric. "Oh ha, no its not my blood. I bit a snake." I glossed over the second sentence, mumbling the last word. I guess I failed to get the blood all the way off and all of my other asshole friends decided to say nothing.
"You bit a WHAT!?" Naruto all but screeched, looking both impressed and disgusted.
"Nothing....thats not important right now." I waved him off, it really was the least of our worries. I took a step forward and stumbled. Kakashi steadied me with a firm hand. Kabuto took more chakra than I thought. "Hey Kurama, buddy, I'm going to need some juice right now before I pass out."
"Right, lets go Kurama!" Naruto pounded his fists together then held out his hand for me to hold. I gripped it tightly, feeling the warm, powerful chakra fill my coils and surround my body in a powerful shield.
"Thank you Kurama." He's going to love me one day, I'm determined. "Ready?" I asked the blonde.
He gave an eager nod back. "Ready!" I bit back into my thumb, drawing blood once more. Summoning Jutsu. The normal depletion of chakra for such a massive summoning wasn't there, the Naruto/Kurama chakra cocktail filling my coils up as they drained.
"Lady Katsuyu" I bowed to the slug queen. She was enormous, the biggest version of her I've seen yet. Naruto's chakra really does wonders to jutsu.
"Ahh Hinata-hime how may I assist you?" Her soft voice was a soothing sound.
"Please, separate so we can heal everyone here." She slowly began to shed, her giant form splitting into many smaller versions of herself; enough to cover everyone here. "You harness my chakra through every one of you correct?"
"Yes that is correct." Yes, perfect.
"Then if Naruto and my chakra were put into you together, you'd be able to spread his chakra cloak to everyone here, well theoretically right?" Thank god for geniuses like Shikaku, Shikamaru, and Kakashi. When Kakashi went through my memories with Inoichi, they had been strategizing with the two Nara to find an alternate way for Naruto to send his cloak to all of us without touching. All that's left is for it to work with Katsuyu.
"Yes, that is within my capabilities." The slug spoke from my shoulder. "I have reached everyone and will begin healing." The battlefield began to light up with red as our forces regained their strength and chakra.
"Perfect, lets do it! Thank you for your aid Lady Katsuyu."
"It is nothing, Hinata-hime."
What was left of each platoon finally arrived and those who arrived with the reanimated Kage made their way over. I was calm, yeah, totally. I didn't love Hashirama or anything. Slightly disappointed in the lack of Minato, but I'll survive.
"Thats an interesting system you have there. You must have a good handle on the 9-tails power if you can use it like this without hurting yourself and others. That fox always was the most unruly." The First Hokage gave Naruto a grin and a pat on the back. The blonde looked like he was going to faint from being praised by one of his idols. He couldn't help but blab about his jutsu (which he didn't even create) and how great of friends he and Kurama are. Gaara was eagerly dragged into this conversation as well.
Tobirama blocked my vision of his brother so I couldn't stare in awe anymore. "Your water style jutsu is formidable, I'm impressed with your skill young Hyuga." Tobirama was imposing, his height towering over mine. His face was punchable, sexy, but punchable.
"That means a lot from the second best water user in leaf history." I gave a slightly fake smile, it much sweeter than need be. That 'second best' got his attention, his eyes narrowed in on me like a hawk.
"and who do you suppose is the best user in the leaf, if not me?"
"Maa I'm sure Hinata-" Kakashi stepped in to stop me from running my mouth. Even if he was on my side, he couldn't disrespect the second Hokage.
I cut Kakashi off before he could placate the situation. "Me. I get bonus points for not being an asshole." Sasuke, ever the stoic remained straight faced but his eyes were dancing with mirth.
"You brat, show respect to your elders!" Tobirama released his aura, its pressure slamming into me. I didn't back down, it was scary, sure, but at this point nothing will phase me.
Hashirama clapped a hand onto his younger brother's shoulder, squeezing tight. "Tobirama, calm down. She isn't wrong, you're not always the nicest person."
"Shut up elder brother, your opinion was not needed." The icy white haired man shot back sharply.
Hashirama dropped to the floor in a pile of depression. "Fine, I knew you hated me. I'm worthless." Naruto and I giggled while everyone else looked confused and appalled that the first Hokage had the audacity to be such a loser when his reputation made him seem like a god.
"As exciting as whatever this is..." Shimakaru gestured between all of us, sighing deeply in exasperation. "...we're still in the middle of a war. No offense to you Kage, but you are here to stop Madara, not chat with team 7." He pointed to Madara, who was sitting atop the partially transformed gedo statue watching and waiting. Wow he really was something to behold. His clones and the gedo statue, as well as all of its little monsters it creates, prevented anyone from coming up. Hashirama popped up and grinned, saying he'd do his part.
Ino let out a whine. "Well shit." I nodded sagely at the blonde.
"I know right." It really is such a shame.
The men around us all looked confused, they were missing out on something. "What?"
"He's so hottt." We complained at the same time. Shikamaru, Sasuke, and Tobirama looked ready to off themselves then and there. It really is a tragedy that the man we need to destroy is such a hottie. I mean, for being like 100 years old he is still hotter than 90% of the men i've ever seen.
We split into teams, each team going off to fight a Madara clone or the 10 tails. Hashirama and Tobirama joined us on Team 7 plus the remaining Jinchuriki and the now disbanded Team Jiraiya to team up to save the tailed beasts, destroy the 10 tails husk, and stop Madara.
Thank you again for all the hearts and I hope you enjoy! That and Madara and Hinata meeting for real for real is going to be epic (I hope) and I'm going to write it and publish it before I head back to school! I'm going to force myself to do it! Be safe everyone and remember black (trans) lives matter!
Question: Which ending should I write first with all of the love interests?
