Over the next couple of days I watched from afar as the science bros Dad and Banner, worked on something tirelessly. I was actually banned from the lab while they worked which I found a little offensive but I had other work to do. It came to the night of the party and Natasha was helping me get ready.

"I don't understand why you're helping me. I have gotten ready for lots of party before by myself." I told her as she was doing my make up.

"I know but there are not many girls here so, I thought it would be nice." Something was going on. I don't know what but there was something fishy. I dressed and we made our way downstairs. I talked and laughed with many of the guests a that had been a key part to our mission to taking down Hydra and other people. I went to get another drink, Thor, Dad, Hill and Uncle Rhodey were already there.

"Hey." I greeted kissing both their cheeks.

"You want your usual?" Dad wonders and I nod wrapping my arm around Thor. "Apple Martini for the Lady of the manor please."

"What are you guys talking about?"

"Colonel Rhodes was telling us a story, my love." Thor informed me.

"Yeah, so you know the sun can take the weight right? So I take the tank, fly it right up to the general's palace, I'm like boom are you looking for this?" I furrowed my eyebrows I didn't get it. But then again I came in at the end of the story so.

"Boom are you looking for this."he repeated. Dad handed me my drink "Why do I even talk to you guys, with others that story kills."

"That's the whole story?" Thor wondered

"Yeah, it's a war machine story." Rhodes replied

"Oh it's very good then. Very impressive." Thor chuckled taking another swig of his drink. I shook my head in amusement

"Quality save." The music turned slow. I looked to the DJ who gave a nod my way.

"Reign, care to dance."

"Sure she does." Dad answered

"I can answer for myself. Yes, I would love to." Dad took our drinks and Thor took me out we both started dancing, it was nice but then I noticed no one else was dancing.

"That's weird, no one else is dancing with us."

"Reign, might I ask you a question?" Thor wondered stepping back

"You just did but you can ask another one." his hands slid down my arms to take my hands in his.

"I have love you for as long as I can remember, even before we connected through our dreams. You are smart, beautiful, kind, protective, loving, funny the list is endless. When we finally met in New Mexico, I felt complete and being away from you hurt my soul. Almost losing you was unbearable and spending this past year with you has the happiest I have been." he knelt down on one knee.

"Oh my god." I breathed.

"Reign Maria Stark, would you do me the honour of becoming my wife?" he asked holding up a ring

"Yes. Yes I would love that." Everyone clapped as he slipped the ring onto my finger and stood up kissing me. Everything liked i pulled away and looked to my friends

"You sneaky bastards, you knew!" I pointed to them as happy tear streamed down my cheeks.

"Well, maybe. I couldn't possibly comment." Dad shrugged holding up his phone. They started coming to congratulate us.

"I gotta have some of that." One of the vets held out his glass.

"Oh no, no, no. See this...This was aged for a thousand year in barrels built from the wreck of Grunhel's fleet." He gave Steve and I a chance I smelt it, wow that smelt strong. "This is not meant for mortal men.

"Neither was Omaha Beach, blondie. Stop trying to scare us, come on." Thor looked at me and I shrugged

"Very well then." he gave them some, I took a sip and started coughing.

"Okay, yeah no." I handed him the glass back "That is strong enough to be and illegal drug and knock out a rhino. I'm going to get my usual." I walked off to the bar and ordered an Apple Martini.

"There's my girl." Dad cheered wrapping an arm around me and kissing my cheek.

"Are you drunk?" I chuckle

"Nope, Pepper says congratulations by the way."

"Well I will thank her later, she's done me a big solid this past year while I've taken on more Avenger duties. Thankfully it will be able to get back to normal, now that the last Hydra base has been taken down and the sceptre will be sent back to Asgard."

"Yeah."

"You know, i thought you'd be more of a wreck. You know you're little girl is getting married. And before you." he held up my hand which my engagement ring took pride of place.

"The night i lost your mother, was the night I was gonna propose to her." my smile dropped "Yeah, I had told her I was doing some work when in fact I had gone to ask my Mom for my grandmothers engagement ring. This ring."

"Daddy. I never knew."

"Of course you didn't there were only two people that did me and your Grandma. So when Thor asked me for permission and he did, it was very vintage. I gave him this."

"But what will you give Pepper when you finally have the balls." I grin

"Don't you worry about me kid."

"Of course I worry about you. You're my Dad the first man I ever loved." I hugged him

I relaxed in Thors arms, everyone but the Avengers had left, we were joking about Mjolnir. I grabbed some beers an handed one to Thor and the other to Steve who were sitting on either side of me.

"But it's a trick!" Clint was adamant

"No, no, it's much more than that." Thor replied I took a sip of my beer

"Ah, whosoever be he worth shall haveth the power." Clint dramatised "Whatever man it's a trick."

"Please be my guest." Thor held his hand out daring him to try

"Come on." Dad egged him on.

"Really?"

"Yeah." Thor nodded and he stood up. I got my phone out and started recording.

"Oh this is gonna be beautiful." Rhodes commented

"Clint, you've had a tough week. We won't hold it against you if you can't get it up." Dad added. We started laughing.

"You know I've seen this before right?" He gripped on and pulled but Mjolnir did not move. He grunted as he tried but nothing happened.

"I still don't know how you do it!"

"Smell the silent judgment?" Dad asked

"Oh you think you can? Go on the Dad have a try." I goaded he shrugged and stood up.

"I'm never one to shrink from an honest challenge." he undid his suit jacket.

"Get after it." Clint laughed going to sit back down.

"It's physics." he grappled on "Right so if i lift it, I then rule Asgard?" he confirmed with my fiancee

"Yes of course."

"I will be reinstating prima nocta." he place his foot on the table for extra support. Then tried, again nothing happened "I'll be right back" he got his Iron arm and tried again

"Rhodes, get over here." Nothing tried it with suit hands

"Are you even trying?" Uncle Rhodey questioned

"Are you on my team?" Dad countered as the kept on trying to lift the hammer.

"Just represent. Pull." It was the Bruces turn to try he yelled dramatically trying to make us think he was going great yeah no one laughed at that.

"Yeah no?" I shake my head

"Go ahead, Steve, No pressure." Dad stated as Steve stood up and went to have a try he rolled his sleeves up the tried it almost moved. I could feel Thor's demeanour changed. We looked at Natasha.

"And, widow?" Banner wondered

"Oh no, that's not a questioned I need answering." she denied

"All deference to the man who wouldn't be king, but it's rigged." Dad huffed disappointed

"You bet your ass." Rhodes added

"Steve, he said a bad word." Maria teased pointing at Rhodey.

"Did you tell everyone about that?" I started laughing

"The handles imprinted, right? Like a security code, who so ever is carrying Thor's fingerprints is, I think the literal translation." I shared a look with Thor.

"Shall we put them out of their misery?" I ask

"Oh but I was enjoying the atmosphere of they trying and failing. But if you so wish, my love." he replied. I stood up and handed him my phone.

"You have an interesting theory dad, but we have a simpler one." I lifted up the hammer with eased and tossed it up then caught it. "Ya'll not worthy."

"What the hell?!" the shouted

"You knew all this time, and you can....?" Dad was shocked as Thor took my side.

"Well I am his bride to be and through many trials of life it seems she deems me worthy. But watching you all has been the best." I handed him Mjolnir there was a high pitched noise.
