A Friendly Conversation
Veronica, Michael, Jared, Jenna and Martha stared at the blinking notification in stunned silence. Even Martha was surprised this time around.
"Wow," Jared whistled. "You'd have thought that Veronica offered them money with how fast they replied."
"Maybe Mr Walker doesn't get a lot of emails?" Martha suggested.
"Maybe," Veronica muttered in reply. She clicked to view the message.

"...Wow," Jared said, raising an eyebrow at the lack luster email.
"Oh, so that's how they replied so fast," Jenna remarked.
"...Where's the picture of the dog?" Martha asked. She sounded disappointed.
"I think that it's-," Veronica was cut off by a familiar Bing!. She clicked the new message.

"A link?" Jared snorted.
"...Can we click it?" Martha asked. Michael and Jenna nodded in agreement.
Veronica sighed, and clicked on the link.

"Oh... great," Jared huffed.
"Should we tell everyone about this?" Michael asked, looking around at every else. Veronica frowned.
"...I... I don't know," Veronica sighed. "If they aren't making them anymore..."
"And if the We'll Get Better app isn't hurting anyone..." Jenna added.
"Then it's doesn't look like we need to," Michael finished. "Okay, great, can I leave now?"
"I... I guess," Veronica sighed, and Michael stood up. Without looking back at anyone, Michael started down the stairs and they heard the front door close as he left.
Jared frowned. "Wait, so, that's it?"
"Unless you got a new lead," Veronica told him.
"I'm pretty sure if you all did try to tell everyone, they wouldn't be very happy," Martha added.
Jared laughed. "You're afraid of some 'legal action'?!"
"None of us are lawyer's, Jared," Veronica reminded him.
"And they must have stayed in business somehow," Jenna added, crossing her arms.
Jared looked around at the three of them. At Veronica, Martha and Jenna. Veronica frowned in confusion when she saw him scowling.
Jared turned away before she could confirm it, however.
"Well, great," he told them. He almost sounded angry. "Guess there's no reason from me to stay now..."
He looked around one last time, before heading out, with an almost sarcastic wave goodbye. The three left behind watched him go.
"...Why's he so angry?" Martha asked. Veronica tilted her head as she heard the front door close.
"I don't know," was her only answer.
Veronica didn't dwell on it; she didn't really know him that well anyway. After all, she and Jared weren't really friends at all. Veronica needed his help for a job, and Jared never seemed to want to be better friends. In fact, he didn't even seem to like Jenna, who was an actual one of Veronica's friends.
At least Michael seemed to want nothing to do with them. He came, and did what they asked.
Still, she did feel slightly guilty, both for Michael and Jared. Maybe tomorrow she could find the two of them to say thank you, and maybe talk to Jared.
But, really, that was a little ridiculous. Jared was acting like a child, and it wasn't on Veronica to be his friend. So it'd probably be best to only say thank you. If he wanted to be friends, he'd have to open up his communications a little bit more. She wasn't his mother.
Although, what Veronica really SHOULD be doing right now is getting started on her homework. After Michael and Jared had left, she, Jenna and Martha had stayed, and eventually got out a very sparkly and pink edition of the board game Trouble™.
The three really lost track of time, so now, at 11 PM, Veronica was quickly getting all her homework for the day down. Luckily, there wasn't a ton, probably due to the school she was going to, and Veronica finished in at least forty five minutes.
And then she should being going to bed, right? Start going to sleep?
Veronica thought so, as she laid down on her bed, wide awake, and too busy thinking to be able to actually sleep. Veronica sighed, realizing that at this point, no matter what time she fell asleep she'd be tired tomorrow, she got up to check on what was on her mind.
Unplugging her phone from the charger beside her bed, Veronica unlocked it and went to her app store, typing: 'We'll Get Better' into the search bar. When she found the app, she clicked on it.
Now she didn't know what to-
Doo DOO doooo DOOOOO!!!
Well, frantically turning the sound down would be a good start. God, that music was annoying.
Well, now she didn't know what to do. She already did everything she could do before, and she was sure that the reviews were all the same.
Was there really nothing she could without downloading the app?
Veronica really didn't want to do that. To use the app, you had to give an email, and while Veronica already used her one email to contact them, putting it in an app was something... more. With Roman Walker she felt sure that he, or she, or they, would delete her email almost right way, but with the app, it was saved in there, for as long as they wanted.
Plus, gothgal900 wasn't exactly the most secure password in the world (she'd change it but she kept forgetting).
But, well, she didn't know how she could find out any more about it. It looked mostly safe...
She downloaded the damn app.
