Stranded? Stranded. Stranded!
Third Person
Scar felt Cub prod his shoulder "Hey... Scar... Get up... We hit a island."
He swatted at Cub and mumbled "Five more minutes..." He felt Cub flip the boat, and he hit the water and shot up, sputtering. Cub yanked him up by his jacket, chuckling "Come on. We need to set up a safe place, hidden, that we can spend the night at."
Scar swatted at Cub again, picked up his now soaked hat, wringing it out and plopped it on his head. He sludged his way to the bank and observed the small island tiredly.
It was thickly wooded, but was only about 50 by 30 blocks. He could work with this and make a nice and hidden base.
They got to work, rapidly building a base clinging to the bottom of the rooftop forest trees.
After they stopped, they began chilling in the small area they had set up. A part went under ground, and they had a strip mine set up.
They could live with this.
--Hia y'all--
Gria stared at the half finished base. It admitably looked like a water-filter. Apparently she had a tendency of designing stuff like kitchen appliances.
She was sitting in the grass next to the flag, her hair blowing loosely in the wind. Her elytra+armor lay discarded to her left.
A sigh left her lungs as she thumped to the ground entirely, legs going from their crossed position into a straightish position.
As she stared at the sky, she suddenly remembered that she needed to collect more gravel and sand for the base. She groaned and rolled onto her stomach and pulled herself to feet.
Yanking on her armor, she clumsily clasped her elytra on. Unaware that a presence had messed with it, she set off a firework and hit the air.
She glided through the air, eventually hitting the ocean and heading to the most untouched grind site.
As she glided near a small island, a snap sounded. A small amount of smoke came from her elytra, and she yelped loudly as she suddenly dropped out of the sky. She hit the water, desperately swimming to the surface.
She took a gasp of air as she paddled at the surface, keeping afloat. She began swimming to the island, her hair soaked.
The Neko realized her armor was weighing her down and began undoing it, sighing with relief at the ease she could float.
Beginning to swim again, she eventually making it to the island and pulling out her trashed communicator and grumbled "Wh-wh-why aren't th-th-these w-w-waterproof?"
Gria began fiddling with it, and ended up opening it. And staring at the tiny redstone parts. And immediately gave up and tossed it to the ground.
Her eyes drifted to the rooftop forest infront of her, then back to the way to the mainland.
She was at least a thousand blocks away from the mainland. That was a long way for boating/swimming. She began walking through the muddy bank, trudging into the forest.
Spending awhile wondering around until she found a small base clinging to a large trees branches. Curiously, she found a ladder and clambered up it. She opened the trapdoor and popped in, and made eye contact with a surprised Scar and another hermit.
Obviously, she yelped and fell off the ladder and onto the ground with a thud.
Scar quickly scrambled to the trapdoor "Oi! Aren't you the new hermit?" She was now staring at him. "Y-y-yes. Y-y-you h-have a d-d-different a-a-aura th-the-then before."
He raised a eyebrow, then recalled what Cub had said "Oh! Yea! That was a Shifter. It replaced me."
She stood carefully, wincing at the pain in her buttocks (I fell down the stairs yesterday. It hurts still.) Scar said cheerfully "Come on up! Tell me what your doing here! Have some none existent tea!"
Gria reached up and he helped her up, thankful for the rough texture of her glove. Cub waved at Gria, reassured by her normal aura.
Gria sat on the wooden floor and began telling them about the Civil 'War' and how she had gone to get more gravel and sand and how her elytra had just given out.
They were attentive listeners, and Scar ended up asking if she had her communicator.
She explained the issue, and Scar left the base to retrieve the communicator and hopefully fix it.
Cub and Gria sat there in a awkward silence.
"...D-d-do you l-l-like m-music?"
Cub raised a eyebrow and nodded. Gria's eyes brightened as her eyes flicked to the guitar Scar had made "I-I can s-sing. A-and p-p-play guitar."
A smirk spread across Cubs face as he handed her the guitar "Go for it girl."
Taking it, she strung the guitar and began plucking the strings, checking the tune.
Then she began playing it, her fingers naturally running across the guitar. She began singing, her voice echoing in the small base.
Cub watched in bewilderment. Not a single stutter.
(Quick explaination. Rhythm helps to control your stuttering. So many people who stutter otherwise face no such issue when they sing. It happens because the words in singing are prolonged. You can use the same technique when speaking. Now I look smart!)
Scar was jogging back to the base when he heard Gria singing, and he smiled, beginning to hike up the ladder.
She stopped and set down the guitar as Scar passed the communicator to Cub, who immediately began to skillfully work on it.
Gria watched in interest. She wasn't the best at redstone, so this was interesting.
Ten minutes later, Cub suddenly asked if they can go down to the mine and retrieve some redstone.
They both rushed down there, chatting about the skill of Cub. Scar began shuffling through the shulkers, looking for the redstone.
Gria began to help, and they found a ton and began carrying it upstairs.
They dropped it infront of Cub, who smiled at the redstone covered two and began working with it.
Thirty minutes later, a victorious shout echoed through the base.
"It's working!"
Yay. This is done.
Have a good night/day/morning/afternoon/evening!
Inform me of any typos, I didn't proof read this one.
