Wrath

Joslin had her earbuds in to block out the party going on in the background. She did not want to be there, but it was past curfew and the party was going on inside her dorm because her roommate thought it would be a spectacular idea to throw a party the day before finals started. If these idiots were out of their dorms past curfew, why couldn't Joslin? Unlike those fools, Joslin had nowhere else to be. At this time, the library would be closed and she had no close friends on campus to stay with besides her roommate.

Her plan was to graduate from med school, then become a doctor. She would never have to deal with these people ever again.

"Hey, Jos! Why don't you have a drink or two?" Her roommate, Maddie asked. Her breath reeked of alcohol. Joslin wrinkled her nose in disgust.

"Nah, I'm fine Maddie. I rather not have a hangover while taking the finals," Joslin declined. Maddie shrugged.

"Suit yourself. Feel free to join us if you change your mind," Maddie said. Joslin nodded. Both she and Maddie were twenty-four, with the same dream of becoming doctors. They planned on becoming doctors together. Or at least, Maddie did. She left to join her other friends, who were drunk unlike her, still sober despite the amount of alcohol she had.

She was left alone with her thoughts again.

They always chided her to do things.

"He's annoying. Just bash his head in the wall."

"Ugh, can she shut up?"

"My fist is coming closer to you're face~."

They made Joslin doubt things she loved. She knew she couldn't listen to them or there would be consequences, but everyday, the voices got louder and louder. They were becoming unbearable.

Joslin heard a smash and glass breaking. She tuned up the volume of her music, hoping to drown it out. Even when her ears felt like they would burst from the loud music, the noise outside would not go away. Another smash was heard, followed by yelling.

Joslin lowered the volume and looked up to see what happened. She felt nothing but hot rage at the sight. A few boys had smashed her favorite china dishes on the ground, smacking each other on the back to congratulate the other. The same China dishes her mother gave her last year. She stood up, the chair she was seated in fell back, smashing into the cheap stereo Maddie had bought for the party. The stereo shut off, resulting in the room becoming dead silent. Those who were sober enough stared at Joslin, while the drunkards hung onto their buddies.

Maddie saw her friend's rage.

"Jos..!" She exclaimed, about to put her hand on Joslin's shoulder. Joslin slapped it away, stalking towards the boys who broke her mother's present. She grabbed the closet one's shirt harshly and pulled his towards her.

"Where did you get that from?" She inquired. Her vision was going as red as her hair. The boy gulped.

"W-we got it out of the c-cabinet..." he replied in fear.

"Jos! Stop!" Maddie exclaimed, but went ignored. Joslin punched the boy in the chest. He stumbled back and groaned.

"Do you think it is ok to break someone's dishes?!" Joslin asked again, steam seemed to be coming out of her ears at this point. Maddie reached her friend and grabbed her hand.

"Joslin! Stop!" She cried. She knew how much of a temper her friend had. Joslin pried her hand out of her friend's grasp and stormed off. She exited the dorm, leaving everyone shocked.

Joslin stood out on the porch, staring out into the distance. She kicked the closest object—a garbage can. Maddie flew out the door and stood firm in from if Joslin.

"Are you serious, Joslin? Do you realize how much trouble you will be in? You hurt Damian, scared the hell out of everyone, and on top of that you ruined the party! How selfish can you be?!" Maddie scolded. Joslin pushes her back.

"Are you serious?! That fool broke my stuff and you are more concerned about the party than how I feel? Do you know where that fine china came from? That was my mom's gift to me! Now I'm the selfish one!?" Joslin screamed. "I might as well move out, I don't want to live with you anymore you bi-...!" Joslin raised her hand to slap Maddie when she felt a sharp pain in her chest. Joslin gasped and grasped the area in pain. Maddie gasped.

"J-Joslin? Hey, Jos!" Joslin felt her world black out.

A/N: heeeyyyy back with an actual story. The flow seemed terrible to me, how do you amazing authors do it? You know what the funny thing is? While writing this I was listening to Stay by Blackpink and when Joslin blacked out all I hear is "goes little something like lalalalalala" XD. Anyways this is bad I'm sorry. If any of you have tips to help me improve my writing, please do so.

A/N 2: this is the most edited part of my story... probably because there's so much I could have done with it. So if you see multiple "wrath has been updated!" That's probably why... have a nice day!
