Roughly two weeks after your arrival on Earth it was finally the day of your wedding. The custom made wedding rings and Regris' custom tux had been shipped straight to the Garrison. You were nervous, but not so nervous that you were sweating. While Romelle was helping you get ready in the bathroom, Antok was helping Regris and Rez get ready.

"Do I look alright? This suit is kind of itchy. What if she sees me and doesn't want to marry me? Or what if she doesn't show up?" Regris asked, pacing back and forth.

"She will want to marry you and she will show up. You need to relax." Antok told Regris.

"I guess you're right." Regris said, finally sitting down in a chair.

"Of course I'm right." Antok said as he carefully tied Rez' tie since Regris was too nervous.

Rez had never seen his father so nervous and he wanted to make him feel better, so as soon as his tie was tied he went to go hug Regris. Regris picked Rez up, sat him on his lap and hugged him back. Regris was so nervous that he was on the brink of a full blown panic attack.

"Okay, so I have the ring for Regris, I have my bouquet and I've memorized my wedding vows. Am I missing anything?" You asked Romelle as she finished styling your hair.

"Your veil." Romelle said as she went to go get your veil.

"Oh yeah…" You said awkwardly.

Romelle carefully unfolded your veil and put it on your head, adjusting it so that it looked perfect. Romelle smiled as she finally got your veil on.

"You look absolutely beautiful." Romelle said happily.

"Thanks. And thank you for helping me." You said, carefully turning around to face her.

"I do believe that it's time to go so that we won't be late." Romelle said, looking at the clock on the wall.

"Okay." You said, following her out of the bathroom.

You made sure to grab Regris' ring and your bouquet before following Romelle out of the bathroom. The wedding was being held on the Garrison roof since there was enough room for everyone who was invited. You had to be careful not to tear your gown on anything as you both made your way to the roof. Right as you and Romelle got to the roof someone started playing the music.

Regris was standing by the altar while he waited for you. He kept looking around, but he didn't see you. However, right as some music started playing he finally saw you and Romelle; Romelle went to go sit somewhere and Shiro met you at the start of the aisle. Shiro had been kind enough to walk you down the aisle. Shiro gave you a reassuring look as you both got to the altar and he went to go sit down next to Curtis. You and Regris made a point to put your wedding rings on the little pillow Rez was holding.

"Welcome to our beloved and honored guests. We’re gathered here today to celebrate Regris and Y/n as they make a promise of love and commitment to one another. What a gift and joy to find someone with whom to spend our life! Committing to share our brightest days and weather our darkest nights with someone is no small thing and cannot be done lightly. Commitment is about trust." 

"It’s about patience, forgiveness, devotion, and hope. It’s what happens when a relationship becomes; a home, a place of safety and love to which each partner can return, again and again. As we reflect on the profound power of trust and commitment to create strong and lasting families, we look to those who have been most touched by the love between Regris and Y/n." The priest said, reading from his little book.

You were touched by the Priest's words and you could tell that Regris was too. A few of the guests were, too.

"Do you, Regris, promise to spend your life with Y/n, meeting each new joy and sorrow together, continuing to deepen your understanding of her, treating her with kindness and compassion, and welcoming each new chapter of life together with a spirit of curiosity and patience?" The priest asked Regris.

"I do." Regris said, smiling down at you.

"Do you, Y/n, promise to spend your life with Regris; meeting each new joy and sorrow together, continuing to deepen your understanding of him, treating him with kindness and compassion, and welcoming each new chapter of life together with a spirit of curiosity and patience?" The priest asked you.

"I do." You said softly, looking up at Regris.

"You both may now recite your vows." The priest told you and Regris.

"Y/n, before I met you I thought I was going to never find love; and when I was caught in that explosion I thought my life was over. Ever since we got to know each other you've always been there for me as I've been there for you. I want to always be there for you when you need me and I want to be your mate forever. I promise to be your lover, companion, friend, life mate and father to our children. With my whole heart I take you as my wife; acknowledging and accepting your faults and strengths, as you do mine." Regris said, his voice full of emotion.

"Regris, on this day I give you my heart, my promise, and the rest of my days that I will walk with you hand in hand wherever our life journey leads us. Living, learning and loving together forever. I vow to always be by your side through thick and thin; in sickness, and in health. I promise to be the best wife and mother that I can." You said softly, remembering your vows word for word.

"Regris and Y/n, may now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment." The priest said.

Rez carefully walked all the way up the aisle and to the altar with his little ring bearer pillow. Regris took your ring and slid it onto your ring finger that also had your engagement ring. You put Regris' ring on next, but only after he told you which one was his ring finger.

"Regris and Y/n will now be bound together in love and commitment both symbolically and spiritually, in a traditional handfasting ritual. This cord symbolizes a deepening of their connection, and a union strengthened by their words of faithfulness, but stronger than words alone. By the authority vested in me and by God, and with the trust of you all here today, I now declare you husband and wife. You may now kiss!" The priest said happily.

Regris knelt down so that he was about your height, placed his hands on your hips and passionately kissed you. You put your hands on his shoulders and returned the kiss. Cheers were heard as you both kissed. When you broke the kiss, Regris stood up and you threw your bouquet. Romelle was the one who caught your bouquet and she was sitting next to Lance. 

Ever since Allura sacrificed herself you hoped that Lance would find someone else to fall in love and be happy with. You and Regris held hands as you and everyone else went to where the reception was being held. With the cake and slow dancing the reception was both fun and very romantic. Before you both went to your honeymoon you and Regris gave Rez a big hug. Shiro and Curtis would be taking care of Rez until you and Regris came back, so he was in good hands.
