3rd Person P.O.V.

Adrien waited outside of school, since it was too early.

He had heard of a new girl transferring to their school.

After a few minutes Nino arrived and they start to chat.

They walk to class, but someone had bumped into Adrien.

He looked down to see a petite bluenette rubbing her head.

"Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!" She squeaked.

She looked up to see who she bumped into.

It was none other than the famous Adrien Agreste.

'Just my luck.' Marinette groaned.

"WHAT THE HECK!" Adrien yelled.

Nino was already in the classroom, meaning that Adrien and Marinette were left alone in the hallway.

"I'm sorry." Marinette mumbled, looking down at the floor.

"You better be." Adrien said, pushing Marinette to a wall.

She fell and cried silent tears.

Adrien scoffed, "Why don't you just leave me alone for once!"

"Because I promi-"

"I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT DAMN PROMISE! JUST FORGET ABOUT IT OKAY!" He yelled.

What she did next, surprised him.

She smiled.

"Thank you." She said and walked away.

He looked at her as she entered the classroom, not understanding what happened, but he went into class and talked with Nino some more.

What he didn't know was that Marinette finally felt free. She was not imprisoned from that stupid promise anymore and she was able to live life again. Her feelings for Adrien faded away. She felt alive again.

She sat down next to Alya, smiling.

"What's got you all cheery today Marinette?" Alya asked, clearly surprised at her friend.

"I feel alive again, Alya." Marinette giggled.

"That's good to hear!" Alya said, hugging the bluenette.

Soon the room was filled with students.

Ms. Bustier entered the room and all the conversations died down.

"Good morning class." Ms. Bustier said.

"Morning." The class responded in a monotnous tone.

"Today, we have a new student joining us today."

A girl with tan skin and olive green eyes entered the room. Her hair was long and chestnut brown with bangs, and her hair was loosely tied on the bottom and shorter strands on each side of her head with orange bands. She wore red-orange wristbands on her right arm and a red-orange jacket over her dark gray romper that has tiny white spots. She also wore light grey tights and brown high heel boots.

"Hi." The girl waved to the class.

'No. It can't be.' Marinette thought.

'Is it really her?' Adrien asked himself.

"Class, this is Lila. Lila Rossi. She just moved here from Italy." Ms. Bustier explained.

'It's her! IT'S LILA!' Both Adrien and Marinette thought.

"Hi! I'm Lila Rossi. As Ms. Bustier had explained, I did indeed just come from Italy, but I lived in Paris long ago. I had to move due to some, um, work." Lila said.

"Oh great." Marinette mumbled. "It is her."

"L-Lila?" Adrien stuttered.

Lila turned to the blond boy, smiling wide.

"Adrien!" She ran up to him and they hugged.

Marinette smiled. She didn't have feelings for Adrien anymore and was genuinely happy for Lila and Adrien.

"Hi Lila!" Marinette waved.

Lila waved back at Marinette, but Lila was still annoyed that Adrien and Marinette were in the same class. 

"So, you guys a couple?" Lila asked Marinette, gesturing her and Adrien.

Marinette laughed, "No, no we aren't. I don't like him."

Lila smiled. "Oh okay!"

Lila saw no hint of lying in Marinette's voice.

Adrien on the other hand, was furious, not because of what Marinette said, but because she was smiling. But, he let it pass, because Lila was back.

"So Lila, want to go out?" Adrien asked, hoping she won't reject him again.

She nodded. "Sure Adrien."

Marinette smiled, "I'm happy for you guys!"

Marinette hugged Lila.

"Ahem."

The class turned their attention from the little reunion to the front of the room.

"If this little reunion is over, Lila please take a seat next to....." Ms. Bustier looked around. "Nathanael."

Lila sat down in her seat and class begun.

*Time Skip*

(w/Adrien)

Once school was over, Lila and Adrien went out of the class and started to talk.

"So, what relationship do you and Marinette have?" Lila asked.

"What?" Adrien replied.

"Like what, are you friends? Lovers?"

"No of course not. I don't like her at all." Adrien growled.

"Oh okay."

"What? Do you hate her?"

"Well yah, of course. It's because she made me think you guys were a couple. I liked you Adrien Agreste, but I don't deserve to be some second choice." Lila answered.

"Well she's not going to get between us." Adrien said, kissing Lila on her forehead.

"Still. It doesn't change the fact that it broke my heart when we were little." Lila huffed. "Wait, Adrien. Do you bully her?"

"What why would you think that?" Adrien asked.

"I saw the fear in her eyes when she looks at you or when you look at her." Lila said.

"Yah, I do. I mean, she deserves it."

"Good."

"What?"

"She deserves to go through the pain I- I mean, we went through." Lila scoffed.

"Well Lila, let's go on our date." Adrien grabbed Lila's hand and they walked out of school to a cafe.

Once school was over, Marinette was packing up her stuff.

"Hey girl?" Alya said, looking at Marinette.

"Yah Alya?" Marinette asked, as she finished packing up her stuff.

"What happened between you and Adrien?"

Marinette stopped. She looked at Alya. "I-It's n-not any of your concern, Alya."

Alya sighed, "Marinette. I'm your friend. It is my concern." Alya put her hand on Marinette's shoulder. "Please don't hide stuff from me. I know you hide alot of stuff from me. I know you're feeling broken, but I don't know to what extent. That's why I want to help you. Please Marinette, please talk to me."

Marinette sighed, "Okay Alya. Not here though."

Alya nodded, "Alright. Let's go to this cafe that I'm dying to check out!"

Marinette smiled and Alya took Marinette's hand and they ran to the cafe.

Once they got there, Marinette caught a glimpse of the name of the cafe.

Cafe Du Destin.
