First to Push, Second to Leave
"What, in the name of Yemma, is wrong with you?!"
Mook blinked in shock. Gang Ho was currently yelling at him. He's been yelling at him all morning about the night before. When Gang Ho has first walked into the room after Aru left, he seemed concerned. He asked both Mook and Dante what had happened, but Mook went to bed as Dante awkwardly didn't know what to do. Now, as the sun is rising and students begin to leave for break, Gang Ho was finally hearing the events of the night. As Dante and Mook explained everything, Gang Ho grew angrier and angrier by the second.
"Answer me Mook, what is wrong with you?! Why would you say something like that?! Especially to Aru of all people!"
"Would you please explain to me what's wrong with what I said?"
Gang Ho silently looked at Mook. He then quickly glanced at Dante, who looked away in discomfort. He then let out a laugh of disbelief, rubbed his face with his hands, and looked back at Mook with frustrated eyes. He let out a long sigh before balling his fists.
"I can't tell if you're pretending to be a jerk, or if you're just a genuinely stupid person."
"Excuse me?"
"Open your idiotic eyes, Mook! You hurt her! You damaged her heart!"
"No, I didn't do that. I was protecting her! She would have ran away if she saw me in serpent mode, she'd think I'm a monster!"
Gang Ho let out a frustrated laugh and shook his head. He looked at Mook with disappointment on his eyes before stuffing the notes journal in Mook's hands.
"Well good job, Prince Charming. She doesn't see you as a monster in serpent mode. She sees you as a monster when you're yourself."
Mook's eyes widened as Gang Ho stormed to his room and slammed the door shut to begin packing to visit his parents. He looked at Dante before looking back down at the notes.
"Dante..."
"Yes, Mook?"
"......Am...am I a monster?"
Dante avoided looking at Mook, but Mook didn't notice. Mook felt his senses leave him as he began to be lost in his thoughts. He did the right thing...right?

Aru felt numb. She sniffed as she sat on her bed, eyes red and puffy from crying all night. She was alone, her three roommates and friends already left for Spring Break. She still felt like crying, but she was fresh out of tears.
She was still cold. Whether it was because of the rain or her heart, she didn't know. Mook's words still rang in her mind and in her heart. The way he said it sounded unreal. She never thought she could hear such a tone coming from such a kind person. He sounded...scary. As soon as she heard his tone and words, she's been out of it all. Gunn ran after her when she went into the rain. He tried to comfort her and figure out what had happened, but she wouldn't stop crying. Instead, he gave her his jacket and walked her to her dorm. She hasn't left the dorm since then, and she planned to stay there for the rest of the day.
Rubbing her neck, she felt a chain around her neck. She looked down and almost began to cry again when she saw that she was still wearing the necklace that connected to Mook. She let out a frustrated yelp as she grabbed the necklace and tightened her grip. She tried yanking it off to throw it out her window, but she couldn't. She just couldn't bring herself to get rid of the only constant reminder of the boy that she committed so much time to. She let out a shaky breath and let go of the necklace, leaving it around her neck. She tucked it into her shirt, keeping it out of sight. Her phone suddenly rang, and she answered tiredly. She heard her brother's voice come through the other end.
"Hey Dweeb! Come over, mom made your favorite."
"Hyun...I...I'm not hungry."
"......Aru...are you...are you crying?"
Aru didn't answer him. She just hung up the call and silenced her phone. Holding herself, she curled into a ball and cried in the comfort of her room.

"Mook, we'll be late."
Dante kept tugging Mook's sleeve, trying to catch the next bus home. Mook stood in place, staring at the path that led to the girl dorms. Dante frowned at his half brother, frustrated that he wouldn't take the advice Gang Ho gave him before leaving home.
"Mook, mom will be expecting us."
Mook didn't respond to Dante, but he finally looked away from the path. He slowly nodded and began to walk towards the bus stop after taking one last look towards the dorm. The two quietly waited for the bus to arrive, quietly sitting by each other as people came and went. When the bus finally appeared, they quietly sat by each other and got comfortable as they made their way back to Mook's home. Dante got comfortable and took a nap as Mook quietly stared out the window. His sight stayed on the Kim Cafe as the bus drove by, his eyes only looking away when it was out of sight. He leaned against the window and closed his eyes, trying to keep a leveled mind. He gently held the sun charm on his necklace and held it close. Opening his eyes, he looked down at the charm in care. He brought it to his lips and gently kissed the charm, praying that Aru could feel his affection through it. He hoped that this time away was exactly what they needed. He hoped that the problems and misunderstandings would've solved and that he and Aru would be okay once again. That Aru would realize that Mook didn't mean what he said to her to be in a mean and cruel way.
He hoped that everything would go back to the way it was before.
