Xena was getting irritated with the situation. They were entering their third year of university, but Aru was still moping. It's been almost two years since she's last spoken to Mook, but Xena knew that it still affected Aru. She hated seeing her friend hurt, but what could she do? Both Aru and Mook were stubborn about the situation.

Xena and Pearl were walking to a nearby park. Aru and Susu were already there, chilling. When the girls finally joined them, the four began to have a never ending conversation as they gathered the leaves around the park into one pile.

"Wait, your parents went where?"

"India. They didn't want me or Xena worrying about watching our baby bro, so he's being babysat by our aunt and uncle."

"The same ones who-"

"Yes, the same ones who had that lab accident with Xena. No worries, they took precautions to ensure it never happens again."

"Hopefully."

"That lab accident wasn't so bad, I'm fine!"

"When are you ever find?"

The four of them laughed and joked around as more leaves fell from the shelter of the branches.

"Can you believe that we're almost seniors? Time is going by so fast, I still can't grasp it."

"I still can't grasp that you're wearing sunglasses in the Fall."

"Shut up."

Pearl sat on the ground and stared at their ginormous pile of leaves before turning to Aru.

"So, Aru, how is the situation going with Mook? Any progress."

Aru's expression immediately fell as Xena frowned. Scowling, Xena threw her shoe at her twin.

"Hey!"

"Read the mood!"

Susu patted Aru's back as the twins wrestled around on the ground. Susu made a face, making Aru sigh.

"Susu is right, we need to act mature guys. Besides, you'll scare little kids who come here."

The twins grumbled before sitting up, pulling leaves out of their hair. Xena pulled her hair up into a ponytail as Pearl fixed her bun. Xena hopped her feet and nodded.

"Alright! No sadness right now! Now is the time for jumping!"

"Jumping? What do you- Xena, what are you doing."

"Preparing."

The other three watched as Xena climbed a nearby tree. When she reached the top, she balanced herself and looked down at the others, smiling.

"Hey Aru! I'm your sadness, the pile of leaves is our love for you!"

Without warning, Xena then jumped off the tree. The others facepalmed and expected her to hit the ground, but were impressed when she actually landed on in the pile. Leaves exploded in every direction. Pearl snorted as she dusted the leaves from herself. Susu just blinked a few times before smiling. Aru giggled as she shook her body, making the leaves fly off. Once Xena poked her head out of the ocean of leaves, the other three dog piled on top of her. They spent the rest of the day there.

And they were happy.
