Caught

(Leo's POV)

While (Y/N) headed to our quarters, I headed above deck to steer the Argo II. It felt so good to actually steer the ship again that I actually lost track of time. When Coach Hedge came up to relieve me of duty, I looked at my watch and noticed it'd been at least three hours. I went back to (Y/N) and my quarters and when the door opened, she looked up from her book. "'Bout time," she said, smiling. "Yeah. I lost track of it," I said, crossing the room to sit by her on the bed. She leaned into me, pressing the side of her head into the side of my neck. I took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of cinnamon and sea salt. She turned, pressing her face into my chest, her hair brushing against my collarbone. I rested my hand on her hair, twining my fingers in it. She looked up at me and said, "I missed that about you." I looked at her quizzically. "Missed what?" She smiled and kissed me. I pulled her against me tighter, tangling both hands in her hair. She pulled back and said, "That and your wit." I considered that and finally replied, "What wit?" (Y/N) rolled her eyes and kissed my cheek. "That wit." "Well, you know what I missed about you?" I asked her. She smiled smugly. "My singing voice? Or just me in general?" I smiled and replied, "Both." I put my hand on her cheek, and noticed she was wearing her hair differently. It was braided down over her shoulder, with a snowflake pin at the tip. I ran my hand underneath the braid and said, "You're wearing your hair differently." She glanced at my hand, resting at the end of the braid. "Oh. Yeah. I watched Frozen last night. I put my hair up like Elsa's when she's singing Let it Go. You like it?" I looked at her with pure admiration. "Of course I do," I said before kissing her, wrapping my arms around her, pulling her into my lap. I felt her heartbeat against mine, felt her arms go around my neck. I pulled back slightly, just enough to whisper her name against her lips, and she nipped at my mouth, urging another kiss from me. I kissed her again, before moving my mouth to kiss her neck. She giggled, and I pulled back, looking at her. "What?" I asked. She shook her head before saying, "Your stubble. It tickles." The corner of my mouth turned up and I kissed her again, this time picking her up and twirling her.

I set her down so she was standing, but I didn't stop kissing her. I pushed her against the wall, pressing my mouth on hers. She made a small noise in the back of her throat, almost like a whimper, but pulled me closer. She wrapped her arms around me under my shirt. I tried to pull my head back, but she wouldn't allow it. She grabbed my lip with her mouth, pulling me back. I guess I couldn't blame her. I didn't really want to ruin the moment, either. I flicked my tongue across her lips, and she smiled, moving one hand to hold my head against hers. I moved one of my hands to cradle her chin, brushing my thumb along her cheekbone. My other hand wrapped around her waist, pulling every inch of her against me. I pressed my mouth to hers hotly, trying to tell her how much I loved her. She kissed me back, moving her other hand to rest on my cheek.

I moved my head, caressing the spot where her jaw met her neck. (Y/N) made another small noise in her throat before moving her hand from my cheek to my shoulder. She kneaded my shoulder, and this time, I made a noise at the back of my throat. My lips brushed her cheek as I moved my head to meet my mouth with hers again. She eagerly met my tongue with hers as I moved my hand to cradle the back of her head. I pressed her head against the wall, exploring her mouth with mine. The arm I had around her waist moved under the hem of her shirt. I pressed my hand against her back, bending her against me. I pulled back for air, and (Y/N) nipped at my lips, teasing me. I replaced my mouth on hers, enjoying the moment. She moved her arms under my shirt to my chest. Her fingers ran over my chest, pausing on some of my scars before resting flat on my skin. Just as I was moving my arm to rest on the wall, the door opened.

I pulled back and turned around to see Percy standing in the doorway, looking astonished. All three of us stood there, looking at each other awkwardly. (Y/N) was the first to break the silence. "Why do you insist on not knocking, Percy?" I could tell she was barely containing her rage. "Well, I did, but I guess you two were too busy making out to hear," he retorted. (Y/N) lunged at Percy's throat. He sidestepped, letting her fall to the floor. Just as I was about to help her up, she rolled over and jumped to her feet. Suddenly, I was standing in the middle of a mini hurricane. I backed up, trying to determine which dark figure was who. Finally, I went with the shape on the right, because it was smaller. I jumped into the mini-cane and collided with something warm. I wrapped my arms around the figure, dragging them out by the waist. Once I was clear of the mini-cane, I looked at who I'd grabbed. It was (Y/N), her hazel eyes burning with rage. She started struggling to get free, but I held tight to her waist. When she stopped struggling, I turned her around so she wasn't facing Percy anymore. She looked me in the eye. "Calm down," I told her. She shoved me away before saying, "Get him out of here."

She sat down on her bed, and I looked at Percy. "You might want to leave," I said. He nodded before leaving the room. I walked over to the and sat down next to (Y/N). "Hey," I said, putting my hand on her shoulder. She looked up, eyes red. I realized she'd been crying, was still crying. I pulled her close, wrapping my arms tightly around her. She shook, tears leaving marks on my shirt. "It's okay. It's okay," I muttered in her ear while I stroked her hair. A little while later, she'd stopped shaking, but buried her head in my chest.

A couple minutes later, she pulled away and looked at me. "My brother is such a moron," she said. "Why?" I asked. "He says he knocked, but I would have heard it. I have sensitive ears. Even if he'd barely touched the door when he knocked, I would have heard," she said putting a hand on my chest. I covered her hand with mine. "So you're implying he just walked in here of his own accord?" I asked. "Pretty much," she said, getting up to get ready for bed. I decided to get ready, too.

I climbed in bed, and when (Y/N) got in bed, she curled up against my chest. She still seemed distraught from earlier, so I thought of something she'd told me about back when we were just friends. I knew it meant 'Heaven at last,' but I'd always thought of it as 'calm down,' I put my hand on her head before saying, "Caelum denique, my angel." She raised her head slightly. "'Heaven at last?'" I looked at her. "I've always thought of it as 'calm down', but whatever." She smiled before putting her head back down. "Caelum denique, my angel. I love you," I said. She didn't respond. I looked down and noticed she was asleep.
