What could be lost in our past?
Billions of years on this ancient sphere,
Yet so much lost.
I ponder the shadows of our distant past,
What wonders existed, how long did they last?
Strange beings roamed, in realms unknown,
Ninety-nine percent veiled in obscurity,
Can we unveil it, unravel the mystery?
I yearn to witness the treasures untold,
What the past held.
Discover the secrets, make them alive,
But like a sand drawing,
There swept away by the wave
With no trace left behind.
