Evolution, a tale so long,

Started by luck, where things belong.

The universe aligned just right,

For life to flourish, day and night.

Planet Earth, our humble abode,

Where many species rose and fell.

But among them all, humans stood tall,

Achieving greatness, beyond the call.

Building civilizations, vast and grand,

Controlling the Earth, they took command.

Exploring space, landing on the Moon,

Their primal desires still in tune.

Wars, killings, and destruction persist,

A dark side within, a savage mind.

Humans, like animals, driven by sadistic pleasure.

Despite efforts for peace and prosperity,

Within their hearts the animal instinct remains strong.

Cruelty unseen in all of creation,

With nukes that bring own extinction.

They hold other species fates in their hands,

With power and control.

Kindness may exist, yet doubt remains,

Are humans monsters, with evil stains?

As we travel among the stars,

Will we find a new home and start anew?

Or  are we doomed to destroy everything we touch?

Ending our uniqueness, as history has sided.

Will we be remembered, or forgotten like the rest?

Mere footnotes of Earth, in the vast cosmic quest?
