Oh soul, you're but a number of days.
You forget enjoyment wasn't made for this world in any way.
You were created to worship the Lord you took an oath from.
Don't be negligent and fall into the depths of heedlessness.
The depths our Prophet (PBUH) tried soo hard to take us out from.
Do not let his efforts go to waste.
What he did was never futile and so do not make it seem as such.
Oh soul, the evil within you makes me succumb at times.
Your desires make me weak to the knees.
As I'm pulled from all sides.
"Beware of Satan for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things."
A warning we give much less attention to.
Oh soul, prepare for your death before it arrives.
The chapter of your deeds come to end for life.
Except that which you sent forth for yourself and it continues on.
Oh soul, verily you shall be held accountable for what u do in this life.
Your limbs shall account as a witness for or against you.
Oh soul, recognize the value of time and it's limits.
There will be no chance to go back once you are gone.
Oh soul, I have corrupted you from evil when you were once soo pure.
Oh soul, contain your thoughts for Allah could punish or exempt whomever He wills.
The desires become much harder to avoid.
Oh soul, jihad un nafs I shall establish in every way.
You've become a prisoner to this world and have forgotten the true way.
Nothing is impossible unless Allah deems.
Oh soul, you long for Allah yet the evil of this dunya, keeps u gravitated.
A long journey awaits for us to the heavens.
To the door of Allah's heart.
Don't be like those who forgot Allah, so he caused them to forget themselves.
Observe your duty to the Lord who created you.
Gardens of bliss, rivers of wine, honey and much more awaits as rewards for the good doers.
Oh soul, let's strive together in the path of life.
If we walk to Him, He'll run to us!

Who said jannah (paradise) was easy? It is for those who strive hard in the way of Allah. Those who oppose their desires even when it gets too much. However, the ultimate goals should be to love Allah. To attain his pleasure like the companions  (RA)
