Chapter 7

🤍Reflection🤍

*The song goes with the chapter*

"I'm a little bored, Michael," Maggie whined.

Michael was laying against the tree putting his head on top of Maggie's as he sighed with a small smile. He and Maggie have been out doing things together and the Press has been following them so often that he hated it except Maggie understood his situation. He's so happy that he was glad that someone was finally understanding the real him and he could tell that she was a true friend.

"Hm, what do you think we should do?" Michael asked.

"I don't know." Maggie sighed.

"Hmm, we should do something together as of making something," Michael suggested as Maggie sat up and smiled as she looked down at him.

"Or, we could stroll around your place," Maggie said as Michael nodded when she helped him up to his feet as the two walked around the sidewalk together in silence.

Michael began to think about something and broke the silence, "When can I get a chance to visit your time?" He asked.

"My time? Well, it depends on making sure that you're not seen or even spotted." Maggie said.

"Oh, okay. Um, I was wondering about myself in the future too." He asked.

"I don't know. Remember, I didn't know you or what your life was about." Maggie replied.

"Hmm, why not go back to your time and search it up, then you can tell me what's going on. Simple." Michael shrugged.

"I guess. It depends on what the reflection of you here then now is like." Maggie smiled.

"Am I beautiful?" Michael pouted.

"Yes, my beautiful's best friend in the world." Maggie hugged him by his waist happily as she pulled away. "But, first thing I want to know is if they have a skateboarding alley anywhere in California?"

"Hmm...If I could remember there should be one here in Nevada. It's where the children's playground is nearby. Why?" Michael asked.

"Nothing. I just wanted to know if I could go skateboarding?" She asked.

Michael blinked and asked, "You mean right now?"

"Yeah. I bought a board when we were decorating my room here so that I can do something entertaining to do." Maggie replied.

"Okay. Yeah, go ahead and I'm sure one of my bodyguards can-"

"No need to. I can just ride my way there all by myself." Maggie reassured.

"If you say so. Be back at around 5." Michael said in a strict parental tone.

"Yeah, yeah. I'll be back and I'll bring something with me along the way." Maggie skipped away to head inside and get her gear ready to head down to the skate park.

Maggie

I've headed up to my room and grabbed my gear to head down to the skate park when I stopped my tracks thinking about if I should head back to my time and lookup Michael. He is like the legendary artist there is out here in this world and there's nothing wrong with that, but fame has taken too much attention into his career. Poor guy. I'll try to research him if I could get a signal since wifi wasn't around here at this time. I skated down to the skate park without getting a lift back from one of Michael's bodyguards that I was having the best time of my life. I did all sorts of neat flips and tricks on the rails too. When I looked at the time on my cell phone, I decided it was time to go and head back to the mansion after I get me and Michael two lollipops. I went to the store and bought a bag full of lollipops and while I was sitting on the bench sucking on one, I then decided to look up Michael. His name was printed already and to my surprise, he looked different back then until now, as I scrolled down to read almost everything about his history. I completely stopped my tracks when my heart dropped to read about him turned into more like a death story.

'Michael is dead?' I thought as I felt like I was about to faint after seeing this.

I started to read more which gave me enough time to find out what was causing him so much throughout the year. His legacy, fame, money, etc. Most importantly I could see why the tabloids were such trash because of the lies that they accuse on him for calling my best friend a child molester! Anger boiled inside of me as I continued to read that Michael was on medication due to the Pepsi Commerical accident in the '80s live on stage. I then remembered the photoshoot about the pain he was feeling from that photographer's grip which meant that his scalp still hurt from the accident. Then, here comes when I read about his death...he was having trouble sleeping called insomnia and asked a doctor to come by and give him medicine that could help him. However, the results were calculated that his doctor's name Conrad Murray had given him too much for him to help Michael sleep that caused him to die. My mind was fully blown that I just read about Michael making it more shocking inside of my soul to see this. I can't tell him...I just can't or he'll hate me for it. He's going to be so scared and sad that he didn't get a chance to watch his children grow up to become adults very soon in my time-more importantly about the horrible documentary they made about him 'Leaving Neverland'. My cellphone rings and I looked down to see that it was Michael's ID# calling me and I shakingly answered it.

"H-Hello?"

"Maggie! I thought we agreed that you'll be home by 5. It's now 6:49 PM." Michael asked.

"Oh! Uh, I'll be right there." I quickly replied before hanging up to return to Neverland Ranch.

Michael

I paced around in circles waiting for Maggie to finally return back from the skate park when I heard the door clicked open revealing her leaning against it.

"Hey Michael," She greeted.

"Hi. Ah, so you did get us a tree after all." I giggled.

"Yeah. Here, I actually need to go do something right quick." She said walking off after handing me the bag of lollipops as I tilt my head confused about her actions.
