Chapter 2
🤍The Mirror🤍
Michael woke up very early the next morning that he couldn't stop thinking about what happened yesterday that was inside of the mirror was another time. His thoughts began to run when he remembered Maggie who clearly didn't know about him or his fame.
'My first actual friend. I wonder what she's like and who knows how she is since...the attempt happened to me years ago.' Michael thought. He changed into a black collared shirt, black pants, and black low heeled boots.
Michael looked at the clock and it was 6: 24 AM, too early to see Maggie if she's still sleeping in. She's only 12 years old and a child needs their rest to grow healthy. So, he decided to wait and eat breakfast so the time will pass by for her to awake.
Meanwhile, in the year 2019, Maggie was fast asleep until she woke up and yawn with a stretch in her bedroom. She looked around to see her same old room with fewer toys she never bothers to play with anymore. She's going to be a teenager soon and this month she wants this to be the best birthday ever with her parents being gone for 3 months. She then blinked twice to scan around once more and then remembered yesterday when she met Michael. Happiness ran through her body as she ran out of her room quietly walking down the hallway in her pajama's as she reached where the mirror was placed against the wall as decoration.
'Hmm...I wonder if Michael remembers what happened yesterday?' She thought to herself as she waited for a little to see nothing happening. 'Maybe he...forgot.'
Maggie felt a little sad that Michael was showing up in the mirror as they made their promise to see each other again the next day which is today. Just then, the mirror lights up as Michael appeared with a wide smile on his face to see Maggie standing there happily as she smiled.
"You came!" She emphasized.
"Of course I did. I kept my promise and so did you." Michael said.
"This is actually...freaky. I like it." Maggie said with a little giggle.
"I never woke up this early unless I have to head down to the studio or play with my children every single day. It's a pattern that keeps happening." Michael sighed.
"Can you tell me what Neverland is like there?" She asked.
"Neverland is like a place filled with magic where children could come by and play. I loved it here since I first moved here, although I was alone and had some trouble getting used to marriage, love, and hope." Michael said in a sorrow tone and sighed.
"I'm sure things will get better," Maggie reassured.
"That's what everyone else says. But the tabloids only make it worse for me and...you just don't know how..." He croaked a little as Maggie tilt her head knowing that Michael seemed to be having a breakdown moment about the awful lies they spam about him.
"Hey...I can't help but when I see you so sad. It hurts me more than it hurts you," Maggie said.
"No need to apologize, Maggie. Your not the one to judge by a man who can barely have fun, grow up to be mature, and mostly to be affectionate." He said as Maggie smiled a little.
"If anyone is going to hurt my friend then I will make sure I'll be there for you. You with me?" She placed her hand on the glass mirror as Michael felt his heart skip a beat and smiled with a nod.
"Yes. I'll be there for you too." He mocked by placing his hand on the glass as the mirror lights up only to cause Maggie to get a transfer from her time to Michael's!
"Woah..." She awed as she noticed her hand was attached to Michael's as she released his hand from her's to look around then back at him.
"You're actually...here." He gasped.
A moment of silence as they both scream happily and exchange a hug and laughed together thanking God for bringing them together.
"I can't...No...Wait this is..." Maggie was lost with words as she gripped her hair trying to figure out what had just happened.
"I think when we touched the mirror it let you come into my time as you wished," Michael said.
"That could be true. I can't believe this actually happening to me!" She squealed as Michael laughed at her excitement.
"I can't believe this is actually happening to me either," Michael whispered to himself loudly for Maggie to hear.
His ears rang when heard a grumbling sound coming from Maggie's stomach as he glanced over at her clutching it in embarrassment, "Uh...Do you happen to have food? And could you show me around Neverland, please?"
"Yes, I would love to. You're going to love it here Maggie." Michael said escorting her to the kitchen where her stomach will pack with a nutritious meal.
