Chapter 2

It took Jungkook more than an hour to get to Seoul (because Seokjin, ever the dramatic one, wanted to live in the middle of fucking nowhere).

He drove himself on his own (with his McLaren. A beauty, but it's a shame that he probably has to change his car now that he's back to school. Something more practical). Seokjin and Yoongi volunteered to help him out but he quickly, and politely, turned them down, knowing that they'll make a scene. Vampires are rare enough to see among the society so seeing three vampires in one place could easily attract a lot of attention. Jungkook has already gathered a crowd just from submitting a form at school. He tries not to imagine what it will be like when he actually spends the whole day there.

When Jungkook finally gets inside the University, he can see that the entire campus is already teeming with students and parents sending off their children to school.

It's lively, with food stalls dotting the open space and small circles on the field having a little picnic. Jungkook lets himself smile a little. Not bad.

His smile disappears as fast as it formed when he finds himself having a hard time finding a parking spot. Everyone is here and they seem to have occupied all of the spots near the dorms.

He does finally find a parking spot after several minutes of driving around the parking lot (People also started to stare. His McLaren is already odd enough. Wait until they find out he's the vampire that goes to the school. He's the only vampire so he's already quite popular). It's a long walk from the dorms but at least he can finally stop wasting time and, more importantly, gas, as he finally settles into the spot before turning off the engine.

Jungkook gets out of the car, takes the three boxes inside, and locks the doors. Although the boxes don't weigh anything, he couldn't really see because they're all stocked up in front of him on his arms. But he's not very fond of going back and forth from the dorm building to his car. At least he won't die if he gets hit by a car.

Jungkook starts to walk, slowly so that he doesn't bump into anyone. He's more nervous to bump into humans and possibly crush them with his boxes than bumping into a moving car. At least no one would be hurt if it's the latter.

The pace is agonizing but it's his only choice. People are starting to stare again, partly because he just came out of a sports car and mostly because he must look strange and a bit of an idiot carrying three huge boxes with ease.

"McLaren. That's yours right? Sweet."

Jungkook turns to the owner of the voice: A young man, most likely a student just like him, with a friendly face but with a smile that looks like he might be laughing at you. He's wearing a neon orange bomber jacket that could easily attract eyes from any direction. Jungkook guesses that this guy might like the attention with the way he's walking, like he's in a runaway rather than a grey pavement of a campus parking lot.

"Yeah," Jungkook answers. The two of them are walking side by side now. "That Mercedes. Yours?"

"Yep," the stranger answers. He's handsome, Jungkook belatedly notices. "A birthday present for myself. My parents almost killed me."

Jungkook grins. "Not impressed, huh?"

The stranger grins too, but now he looks like he's laughing with Jungkook. Not at him.

"The price blinded them from its beauty. It is a beauty, isn't it?" the stranger's grin widens and his eyes practically twinkles. "Not much of a beauty as yours though."

Jungkook decides that he likes him.

"Thanks."

Jungkook can see the dorm building closer now. He wonders if the stranger is also moving in since he seems to be walking in the same direction. But he doesn't carry any boxes or luggages with him. Just him with his hands in his pockets.

"Name is Park Jimin, by the way."

Jungkook gives a nod towards Jimin, like a greeting. "Jeon Jungkook."

Jimin whistles and then he chuckles while shaking his head, looking amused.

"So you're the vampire. I've heard so much about you."

They have now reached the building. The entrance is blocked by a lot of people, carrying bags and boxes with them. Jungkook and Jimin have to stand on the stairs leading to the entrance, waiting for the line to clear up.

"Heard anything good?" Jungkook asks, not because he's curious but just out of politeness.

Jimin laughs. His eyes disappear for a moment and he throws his head back. He laughs with his whole body.

"I heard nothing but good. Everyone talked about you like you were some god," Jimin pauses. "Does that offend you? the G word?"

"Not really. I just can't touch anything that is holy."

Jimin nods then smiles again. "Anyway, they said you were handsome as the devil. Everyone is dying to see you," Jimin laughs at the way Jungkook scrunches his nose at his words. "Look around you, everyone is staring."

True enough, everyone is staring. Even the people in front of them have turned to look even though there are more important things that they should be worrying about. How can they even see Jungkook's face when it's mostly covered by his boxes? They probably just heard Jimin. He also attracts attention.

The line finally gets moving after a few minutes until Jimin and Jungkook have finally made their way inside and are now looking for their respective rooms.

"Where's your room?" Jungkook asks, as he looks at every number on the doors he's passing by.

Jimin takes out a key from the pocket of his jacket and reads the tag attached to it.

"Room 135."

"Nice, seems like we're neighbors."

The two of them found their rooms on the second floor. Unfortunately, the elevators are not working (when do elevators actually work?) so they have to take the stairs. Jimin half-heartedly offered help to carry Jungkook's boxes, probably because he already knows that Jungkook can carry them just fine. Jungkook refused, predictably.

"Guess I'll see you around," Jimin says, already having his door halfway opened. There are noises coming from the room so Jimin's roommate must've arrived already. Jungkook's roommate is probably inside too.

"Yeah, see you," Jungkook says with a nod before opening his own door.

The room is full of boxes when Jungkook enters.

The room is tiny; only has enough space for two twin beds, a nightstand in between the beds (the space between the beds is as wide as the tiny nightstand. Jungkook might as well be sharing a bed with his roommate), two desks on each side with cabinets attached to them, and a shared closet. The closet is big enough, but Jungkook doesn't really like the idea of sharing the same space to stuff his clothes in. What if his roommate accidentally wears one of his clothes? Jungkook shudders at the thought.

The room is really tiny the longer he looks at it and his roommate seems like he brought all of his furnitures from his house.

Then, someone emerged from the closet.

"Hiya!"

Jungkook almost flinched in surprise but he caught himself before he did anything stupid. Also, what the hell?

The boy is as tall as Jungkook with messy hair and a boyish smile. He's wearing an oversized shirt and a pair of red basketball shorts. His facial features are specially striking that Jungkook couldn't help but notice them.

Jungkook must look really confused and unimpressed because the boy, probably his roommate (he hopes it's his roommate and not just some creep), pouts.

"I thought I would get you with that," the boy says, still pouting as he proceeds to stomp over one of the beds. He goes for the one on the left and sits on top of it. The bed is still bare, no sheets to cover it.

"Get me?" Jungkook asks, confused. He sets down his boxes when he realizes he was still holding them. "What were you trying to do?" Jungkook isn't sure he'd like the answer to that.

The boy shrugs. He's not pouting anymore and Jungkook notices he's been staring at his lips. They look unbelievably soft, Jungkook is almost jealous.

"I wanted to see if anything could scare you or catch you off guard," the boy explains. "I guess your super vampire sense is better than I thought."

"Super vampire sense?" Jungkook asks incredulously.

"Yes," the boy replies, looking at Jungkook like he's an idiot. "You have that, right? You are a vampire, right?"

Jungkook can already tell that it's going to be a very long year. And that's something considering it's coming from an immortal.

"Yes, I am," Jungkook says. The boy looks like he's about to open his mouth again, probably to point another super vampire thing that Jungkook has but he cuts him off. "I don't want to hear any more vampire talk. Please."

The boy raises his eyebrows before his mouth settles into a grin.

"I wasn't going to," the boy stands up and offers his hand. "I was just gonna say, nice to meet you, my name is Kim Taehyung."
