Chapter 1

Jungkook has never been a fan of sunlight.

Not because he's a vampire and that he's worried about it burning him to death, no. That's just a myth, like many other things that humans made up about vampires. Vampires can live under the blistering sun without burning or any of the other crap that humans made up. Vampires can also see their reflections. That one is just as stupid as it is funny.

The thing is, Jungkook just doesn't like waking up to the sunlight blinding him first thing in the morning just like every other human being (or vampires for that matter. After all, Jungkook is a vampire).

Jungkook would only partly blame the sun and mostly blame Seokjin because he's the one who took down all of the curtains in the house because apparently, those haven't been washed in "ages". Which is disgusting because to vampires, ages could be meant literally. So Jungkook can't really complain at the end, to the fact that the curtains may be missing but at least he knows that they'd be clean the next time they're hung up once again.

After cursing to the room (and to Seokjin just to spite him in his head), Jungkook finally gets the mental energy to get up, ruffling his bedhead with his hand and probably making it even worse than it already was.

The kitchen smells like temptation once Jungkook finally gathered his wits and made his way downstairs. Seokjin is cooking when Jungkook enters the room, wearing nothing but a blue apron and his spongebob boxers. He looks ridiculous but Jungkook can't even give him shit for it because he has the sexiest, widest shoulders that Jungkook has ever seen and he'd be lying if he said he'd never been jealous of it.

"What's cooking, good looking," Jungkook says as a way of greeting, settling on one of the stools around the island. Seokjin doesn't even turn to acknowledge him.

"Thanks for calling me good looking but no, I am not sharing this with you," Seokjin says, turning off the stove and grabbing a bowl that was on the counter beside him. Jungkook catches a glimpse of the dish. Ikura Don. What the fuck.

"Why are you having Ikura Don for breakfast? Did we run out of cereals?" Jungkook asks, still looking at Seokjin's dish in disbelief. Also, he's partially alarmed. What if they did run out of cereal?

Seokjin only rolls his eyes before sitting himself across Jungkook. The Ikura looks delightful. Jungkook's mouth waters.

"Can't I indulge myself? And please, don't complain when you're literally drooling all over it."

At that moment, Yoongi decided to enter the kitchen, his hair a mess on top of his head and looking like he's still in the dreamland.

"Who's drooling?" he asks, going over to the fridge, grabs a cold bottle of water, and chugs it down.

"You," Seokjin replies, looking at Yoongi with a scrunched nose. "Wash your face before you come down to eat. You're ruining my appetite."

"And you're ruining my day. Also, is that a fucking Ikura Don?" Yoongi says, now distracted by the same dish that Jungkook is still shooting heart eyes at while he's shoveling at his pathetic cereal breakfast. Cereals are great but it pales in comparison to Seokjin's breakfast right now. They may be vampires whose diet mainly contains blood and, well, even more blood but it doesn't mean they can't enjoy fine meals. It's probably one of their favorites that humans do: being absolutely incredible and creative with their dishes (However, don't get him wrong, human food is magnificent but blood is an absolute delight. A single sip makes the birds sing and the crops grow in Jungkook's world).

"Yes it is and no, I am not sharing. This is mine, make yours."

Yoongi stares at the dish for another few seconds before he completely turns away and starts rummaging in the fridge.

The room finally goes quiet then and Jungkook finishes his breakfast faster now that no one is arguing with anybody. Not that he minds it, the arguing and bickering, because he's been used to it, especially after living quite a few lifetimes with Seokjin and Yoongi.

They started living together after Yoongi turned Jungkook to save his life. Yoongi was already with Seokjin, who was the one who turned Yoongi, and have been living together. They took in Jungkook without hesitation, probably to have a new company because they're getting sick of each other. But Jungkook likes to think it's because they care about him (which, admittedly, they do. Jungkook just likes to pretend they don't because he doesn't like dealing with Feelings).

"I'm moving today."

Seokjin looks up to Jungkook from his fucking Ikura Don while Yoongi remains facing the stove but Jeongguk can see his hands pausing from what they were doing to show that he's listening.

"I'm moving to my dorm today," Jungkook explains. Then, he raises his eyebrows. "Did you two forget?"

Yoongi finally turns around to look at Jungkook. "Yes? Why are you moving out? Are you finally sick of Seokjin hyung?"

Seokjin throws a piece of Ikura to Yoongi from his bowl. What a waste.

"Clearly, my Jungkookie is sick of you," Seokjin retaliates and the two of them start bickering once again.

Jungkook just rolls his eyes and clears his throat, interrupting them.

"I'm sick of both of you." Seokjin and Yoongi glare at him. Jungkook ignores them. "I'm moving because I'm starting school next week. Did you forget about that too?"

"I didn't," Seokjin says, looking smug towards Yoongi's direction. Yoongi rolls his eyes at him. They like to roll their eyes to each other.

"All I remember is that you told me you were gonna do something that sounded idiotic and a complete waste of time to me. So you were talking about school," Yoongi says, joining Jungkook and Seokjin on the table with his scrambled egg. Seokjin tried to sneakily steal some but Yoongi slapped his hand away. Yoongi lets Jungkook grab some.

"School is not that bad," Jungkook says in defense. "Only when I get tired and sick of it. I was just curious what the kids are like nowadays. Also, I'm getting interested in music again."

"Kids nowadays in those universities are like animals. Going there is like visiting the zoo," Seokjin says, still eyeing Yoongi's eggs. What's wrong with him? He already has Ikura. "And, you don't need to go to school just because you want to play the violin again. We don't have a music room just for decoration."

Once Jungkook is done eating some of Yoongi's eggs, he stands up and begins stretching. It's something he randomly does, partly because stretching his muscles feels nice and mostly because it gets under Seokjin and Yoongi's skin. They always tell him he's being a show off.

"How would you know how the kids are like when you haven't stepped close to any sort of educational institutions from the past centuries?" Jungkook points out and he watches Seokjin grumble under his breath. Probably cursing Jungkook. Definitely cursing Jungkook. "And I'm sure they've got some new things to teach about music at school. Playing here is boring. It's fun if there's a professor pissing me off with assignments and evaluations. Living on the edge, you know?"

"You're a vampire and there are so many existing human organizations that want to burn you in a stake. I'm pretty sure you're already living on the edge," Seokjin deadpans. Jungkook rolls his eyes and continues stretching. He'd like to say it's preparation to carry all the boxes he needs to move to his dorm but he's a vampire and those boxes weigh like nothing to him.

"Are you rooming with a human?" Yoongi asks, finishing his meal.

"Yeah, I think so," Jungkook replies, trying to remember if one of the school staff mentioned his roommate's name. All he's sure about is that he would be sharing a room.

"Lucky bastard," Yoongi says.

"Really, Yoongi? Are you implying that if you have a human roommate you would suck them dry?" Seokjin asks in disbelief.

"No, I'm not a murderer," Yoongi says with a roll of his eyes. "And I said lucky because there's a chance his roommate would be nice enough to give him little sips. I haven't had fresh human blood in so long, I'm starting to dream about them every night."

Seokjin looks like he's going to say something but Jungkook interrupts him, afraid that the two would start bickering again.

"Anyway, whoever my roommate is, I am not asking them to let me have a sip of their blood. That's impolite. And creepy," Jungkook tries to imagine but it makes him grimace. "I'd be living with them for quite a while, I don't want to make anything weird between us or else I'd have to come back here and I'm not really looking forward to that."

"Just say that you want to go to school and live in a dorm because you don't wanna live with us anymore. Fuck with your music is interesting to me bullshit," Seokjin says, finishing up with his breakfast.

"Fine," Jungkook says, standing up straight from stretching. "Maybe if you shared your Ikura Don, I would still want to live in this house."

Seokjin just throws him a glare before Jungkook is stepping out of the kitchen.

Jungkook thinks about the Ikura Don again and if he was still alive, his stomach would've probably growled.
