Special Chapter; Christmas~!
Obito Uchiha was late. Yes, he was very late. He was supposed to be meeting Kurenai and Yumiko for dinner and had completely forgotten all about it until his mother reminded him. Oh thank god he had his mother to remind him of those things.
As the boy ignored the pebbles that entered his sandals, he tried not to distract himself. That failed as the young Uchiha saw a cat stuck in a tree and instantly decided that he had to help the poor animal! It would be a sin to just let it sit there in the cold weather.
With a small sigh and a mumble of apology to the two girls he was supposed to be meeting, Obito started to climb the high tree.
"Stupid cat! How the hell did you get that high?!" His voice echoed throughout the empty alleyway, his arm straining as Obito struggled to get a good grip on the furry feline. The series of events that took place next only resulted in an injured Uchiha on the ground, the cat clawing desperately at his face.
With a simple glare, Obito turned towards the person who had thrown a rock at him, a low growl emitting from his lips. Of course, it just had to be him.
"Kakashi you idiot, didn't you see I was helping the poor cat?!" Obito screeched, rubbing the back of his head where the rock had hit.
Kakashi just shrugged in response, his gaze holding boredom as he looked at his teammate down on the ground. It was a pathetic sight really, Obito sitting there with cat scratches all over his face as well as dirt covering his body.
The Uchiha stood up, turning his back on Kakashi instantly as he he continued towards his destination. Obito was mumbling obscenities towards Kakashi under his breathe while he tried his best to rub off any dirt that he could reach.
"I'm guessing you're late?" Kakashi said, now walking next to his Uchiha teammate. It wasn't that he wanted too but if they were heading in the same direction, he had no choice really.
Obito tried to restrain himself from lashing out at the boy, glaring at him. "I totally am not!"
Kakashi just gave an eye roll in response, his shoulders stiffening when a female voice came from behind the two boys.
"Obito-kun! Kakashi-kun!" A female with short brown hair ran up to them, the purple marks on her cheeks seeming more vibrant with the small blush on her cheeks.
"Rin-chan!" Obito's mood seemed to lift just then, his eyes sparkling at the sight of his childhood crush. It was then that Obito seemed to come up with a brilliant idea, smiling at the girl in front of him. "Rin-chan, come out to dinner with Kurenai, Yumiko and me!"
His plan fell through however as Rin nodded before turning towards Kakashi, her eyes now sparkling on there own. Her pink cheeks seemed to darken, the cold not causing this but instead her feelings for him.
"Kakashi-kun, want to come with us as well? Don't use the excuse that you have something to do either!" Rin placed her hands on her hips, puffing out her cheeks to get that the point across that she wasn't going to take no for an answer.
With a sigh, Kakashi just nodded, following behind his two teammates. He actually did have something to do but he guessed visiting his father's grave could wait.
"You're late!" Kurenai shouted, slapping Obito on the back of his head lightly. The scarf wrapped around his neck slipped off, landing in the snow in front of Yumiko. The girl just stuck her tongue out before she gave it back to Obito, the boy just glaring.
"Sorry, I had to help rescue a cat out of a tree!"
Kurenai just rolled her eyes at his excuse, walking into the restaurant to get a table. The rest of the group followed after her shortly after, not before Yumiko introduced Shun to the group.
It was then that Shun saw his childhood friend sitting all alone, a glint of amusement flashing in his eyes. Without a second thought, Shun grabbed the back of Akira's shirt and began dragging him towards the group's table, ignoring the profanities that came from the smaller boy's mouth.
Yumiko glanced over when she heard the swearing, letting a gasp escape her mouth as she slapped her hand against her forehead. Of course, Shun would find Akira here and do this.
Akira gave in, allowing Shun to drag him across the ground. He was still angry over their mission and the fact that it had started snowing as soon as they got back. He was stuck in his clothes for warm weather and therefore would be freezing the instant he went outside. This resulted in Akira being stuck at the restaurant for the past three hours, waiting for the snow to let up.
"You idiots! Don't do this in a restaurant!" Yumiko scolded them before she allowed Shun to sit and made room for Akira to sit as well.
Both boys just glanced at the four people sitting around them, not including Yumiko.
Akira just settled on glaring at everyone, entering a staring contest with Kakashi. Shun just sighed at his friend before giving a small gesture towards him. "This is Akira Shikari. The idiot of the team."
Akira glared at Shun from the corner of his eyes before resuming his staring contest with Kakashi, both boys yet to blink.
Obito just grinned as he stuck a thumb to his chest, "I'm Obito Uchiha and I'll be the next Hokage!"
"Kurenai Yuhei," Kurenai said, giving a shy smile.
"Rin Nohara and this is Kakashi Hatake!" The girl said, putting up a thumbs up while sticking out her tongue. Kakashi just grunted in response, struggling to now keep his burning eyes open. Akira was doing the same, his eyes now slits before they finally gave in. The boy let out a scream of frustration as he flew backwards, kicking his feet around in the air.
Shun just sighed at his friends childish actions while Yumiko just stared at Akira with wide eyes. She was used to seeing the boy being cold-hearted and ruthless, the annoying smirk he always wore now gone from his face.
"Oh my god, you can actually be a normal person!" The brown-haired girl shouted without thinking, gasping before she sheepishly covered her mouth in shame.
Akira turned towards Yumiko, glaring at her. "Of course I can, idiot. I just hate you."
Yumiko's smile faltered but the girl kept it up as she just stuck her tongue out playfully. She didn't want her teammate to hate her, no she actually wished to become friends with Akira. It seemed he had different plans, however.
Shun, noticing that Yumiko was slightly hurt by Akira's words, slapped the boy upside his head. He then looked at the others with the kind smile that he always wore. "It's a pleasure to meet all of you."
Kurenai smiled at the boy in front of her, her eyes glinting when she saw the slight blush creep upon Yumiko's cheeks. "Ne, why don't we all do a Christmas party?!"
Instantly Kakashi's and Akira's heads snapped towards Kurenai, trying to display that they didn't want to participate in such an event but if was too late. Rin nodded, clapping her hands together excitedly. This caused Obito to get excited as well, his cheeks tinted a slight pink as he tried to think about what to get Rin.
Yumiko just stared at Kurenai with wide eyes, her face slowly becoming redder and redder with each passing second. Shun tilted his head at Yumiko's face, placing his cold hand on her forehead. "Are you running a fever, Yumiko?"
Kurenai resisted herself from slapping her forehead at Shun's denseness, her thoughts drifting towards what would happen if she had been placed on Yumiko's team instead. It wasn't like she was jealous, she just figured it would have made the simple missions more fun.
Yumiko swatted at Shun's hands, forcing him to get away from her face. She didn't understand what was happening to her, it was just a simple Christmas present, so why was she so nervous just thinking about it?
"Shun, stop that." Akira's voice rang out, his glare threatening to split Yumiko in half, as if this was her fault. She couldn't control what she felt, even if it meant getting in the way of being kunoichi. That was something she didn't want, however.
Yumiko sighed, taking a deep breath. She would just order her food and then go get a present for everyone. Things didn't go quite as planned.

Yumiko sighed as she walked throughout the market, trying to find something that would benefit her two teammates, Rin and Kakashi. She already had Kurenai and Obito down like the back of her hand, her thoughts drifting towards the specialized Kunai she had given Obito and the genjutsu book she had gotten Kurenai.
Tapping her chin, Yumiko entered a store that specialized in selling things needed for medical ninjutsu. With a quick look over the store, trying to find something that would appeal to Rin. She knew the girl was starting medical ninjutsu, as almost every team had someone that specialized in that.
With a quick exchange of money, Yumiko had bought Rin a pack of chakra replenishers, something that a medical ninja would need to continue healing. Now she just needed something for Shun and the two most terrifying people she knew.
Yumiko then saw a small sword, her mind flying towards Kakashi. It's the perfect present! As it was the last one on the shelf, Yumiko rushed into the store, quickly buying as if she was dealing drugs. She then glanced around the store, her nose scrunching at the strange smell that came from a boiling pot in the corner but it caught her interest, the girl walking over to it slowly.
"It's a love potion," The owner of the small shop said, his raspy voice making Yumiko jump. "For girls it works as a perfume and guys as a cologne. All you do is add some of your chakra to the bottle and allow the boy to spray it on himself and he'll instantly be attracted to you." The shop owner gave her a toothy grin. Yumiko seemed memorized by his words, her hands subconsciously reaching into her pockets to bring out the coins needed to buy the potion.
Yumiko didn't remember anything but the next thing she knew, she was standing outside in the freezing cold and it seemed like the shop had finished into thin air. Weird.
That was when she saw the silver hair against the snow, her head tilting when she saw Kakashi struggling to pick between a small katana or a set of kunai.
Wait. . . Kakashi is actually getting gifts?!
Yumiko saw the multiple bags hung on his arms just then, and the new katana he had just bought slung across his back. Kakashi then went to the Yamamaka flower shop then, buying a small lily.
With a gasp, Yumiko dashed into an alley when Kakashi turned, almost seeing her. She had been unintentionally following him this whole time and if he had a girl he liked, she guessed he wouldn't want anyone to see this. It was just so interesting to see the emotionless Kakashi doing something!
With a shake of her head, Yumiko headed to the last store to just buy Akira some things he could keep in his weapon's pouch. Then all she had to do was wait.

Snow was falling, children were screaming in joy, presents were piled under the trees. It was the day of Christmas and for Yumiko, it was a happy day. She would be able to see all of her friends and she had the next couple of days off from any missions. It seemed Madoka-sensei actually wanted to spend time with her family, it turned out she even had a daughter and husband!
That was when Yumiko arrived at Obito's house, right on the outskirts of the Uchiha clan's district. A woman with jet black hair opened the door, her pixie cut sticking out in all directions while her black eyes seemed to smile. The woman held a warm grin, ushering Yumiko out of the snow and inside the warm household.
"Come inside, I'll take your coat. Obito is just in his room with the others." Obito's mother addressed her, taking Yumiko's coat all while she pushed the brown-haired girl towards the small set of stairs. With a small laugh, she was gone up the stairs. She was used to Obito's mother doing this, seeing as Yumiko had been with Obito since they started in the academy.
With a slight knock, Yumiko entered Obito's room where she saw everyone sitting in a circle. It seemed like she was the last one there until Akira entered the room, a glare on his face while he let the bag his presents were in fall to the floor next to him.
Kurenai clapped her hands together, her red eyes glowing in anticipation. "Alright! Obito's mom is making us food and dessert but before that, we're opening presents!"
Kurenai instantly grabbed the bag that was next to her that was filled with more bags and tissue paper. As she handed out all the presents, it seemed that Obito and Yumiko got the most, as they were Kurenai's best friends after all.
Kakashi had received a pair of underwear, Rin a basic medical kit, Akira a toothbrush and toothpaste, Shun had received a pair of weights. Yumiko felt sweat start appearing on for face as she thought about what Kurenai could have gotten her, Obito doing exactly the same. Everyone else was trying not to be weirded out by their presents that weren't exactly normal, but Yumiko just opened her gift.
Inside was a dress, a light blue one that could be worn on a day she didn't have a mission and when it was most defiantly nicer out. Obito had received some paper bombs as well as smoke bombs.
"Okay. . . moving on! My turn!" Obito shouted, thrusting his gift to Kakashi as well as everyone else. Everyone had mostly received clothes from him but Kakashi's seemed shredded and had paint splatters all over them.
Akira handed out his presents next, giving every single person a set of kunai's, except Shun. The boy had received a full restock on all his weapons as well as a new katana.
Rin's gifts to everyone were simple medical kits that could fit in their weapon pouches and Shun's were chocolates. Yumiko handed out her gifts next, watching Shun with wide eyes as he smelled the potion. He gave Yumiko his normal smile, his teeth seeming to shine even brighter then before.
Kakashi sighed before he pulled his bag of gifts towards him. "I didn't bother wrapping any of them."
It was blunt, the smiles on everyone's faces faltering before they just waited for their gifts. Rin had received multiple food pills and some purple tape, like the kind she wore on her cheeks. Kurenai had gotten a scroll on a genjutsu. Akira and Shun had received some type of food that Yumiko had never heard off while Yumiko received the flower which had been made into a barrette. Then Kakashi turned and glared at Obito, as if he was regretting getting the boy his present.
Obito regretted giving Kakashi his crappy present when Kakashi handed him the small katana Yumiko had saw him purchase.
That was that, Christmas presents were over and even though they weren't the best. . . they still had dinner and dessert at least.
