Approximately one year has past since the Ultron incident, and public opinion of the Avengers became increasingly divided due to the events of New York, Washington DC, and Sokovia. Now a team of Captain America, his son Goku, Natasha, Wanda, and Falcon are in Lagos, Nigeria after the heard about HYDRA is planning to steal a biochemical weapon.

the plan was fairly simple...Goku was to keep an eye out from above alongside Sam for Rumlow and his men when they make their approach to steal the biological weapon in Lagos. Natasha and Wanda were to disguise themselves as tourists and watch the situation from the ground. Captain Rogers would be coordinating everything from an apartment located near the target building.

Goku had Tony make him a suit of armor, like he wore before meeting Steve, and Tony gave him a brand new design for his suit, though still retaining the same colors from the old one.

He also upgraded Goku's shield into having a built in Sheath in it for his sword, so he wouldn't have to carry the blade around. Not only that, he also brought something from his space pod, an old scouter he used before sensing.

Even do he'll never use it for detecting someone, it could help him detect other things like robots, bombs, and other things he couldn't sense. Tony upgraded it as well, having it even store itself when not used.

The team arrived in Lagos at the crack of dawn and each of them took their respective positions throughout the city. Back at the compound when they were boarding the Quinjet, some members of the team asked Goku why he didn't have his suit.

He simply explained he was already wearing it...it was just concealed at the moment. That confused most of the others and they decided to just drop the matter so they could get going.

Wanda:*glancing at the building Goku was on* How you holding up, Goku?

Goku: *looks around* So far, so good. I haven't spotted anything weird yet.

Sam: I got nothing either.

Steve: Keep looking. This is the best lead we've had on Rumlow's activities in six months. *looking out from the window of the apartment he was in* We don't want to lose him.

Thanks for his saiyan senses, Goku can see everything from below with great clarity. He can see that everyone in Lagos were doing everyday stuff.

Steve: *Spotted something* Sam. See that garbage truck? Tag it.

A small drone launched from the back of his wing suit into the air. Redwing, as Falcon called it, flew in low through the streets before it hovered beneath the suspicious garbage truck. It took a detailed scan of the vehicle's interior and the cargo it carried.

Sam: *frowns when he read the data Redwing was sending back* That truck's loaded for max weight and the driver's armed.

Nat: ...It's a battering ram.

Steve: Go now.

Wanda: *Confused* What?

Steve: He's not hitting the police.

Falcon stepped off the ledge and opened his wings to fly towards the Institute For Infectious diseases. The driver rolled out to the streets just before the truck crashed through the front gate, demolishing the overhang when it flipped from hitting the anti-vehicle defenses set in front of the security gate.

Goku's scouter notified him that enemy are approaching the Institute in Yellow Trucks.

Goku: Uh, dad? We've got two more truckloads of bad guys approaching the perimeter.

Steve: Understood. See if you can take them out. We don't want any more of Rumlow's men swarming in here.

Goku: No problem.

He jumps off the building as he activities his new suit as it materializes around his body.

He flies down to see near the inner courtyard, where he could see the Falcon providing cover fire for Wanda while she used her telekinetic powers to remove all of the tear gas from the building and release it harmlessly into the air. Natasha was racing forward on a motorcycle before she jumped off the vehicle with perfect timing.

The motorcycle slid and crashed into the legs of the enemy, making them cry out in pain as they were knocked off their feet. Captain America was probably in the building trying to find Rumlow before he could get the biological weapon. One of the bad guys spotted him coming in and he frantically gestured for two other mercenaries to fire towards the sky.

Goku: Here we go. *activates a battle mask, similar to Optimus Prime*

He flies down towards the enemy.

Bad guy: Shoot him!

Goku: *rolling his eyes* If only I had a nickel for every dumb bad guy that's ever said that to me...

He dodges every bullet shot at him and dashes towards them, getting his sword and cuts through the weapons in quick fashion, before striking down several of them. He knocks one out with an elbow to the head, another with a kick to the chin, another with his knee and lastly using his shield to smack the other away.

2 others pulled out knifes intending to stab the young boy, but he just activates his shield's gun mode and shoots them down.

Goku: Seriously? They forgot the most important rule: Never bring a knife to a gun fight.

He jumps over the wall as there were 4 more hostiles shooting at the Falcon in the courtyard. One of his wings acted as a shield for Sam as he returned fire. The Scarlet Witch was standing behind him, still working on getting rid of the tear gas.

Goku teleports to the closest assault truck where two of the mercenaries were taking cover behind. The two men didn't noticed he was behind them, as he knocks them with a chop on their necks.

The last two were surprised to see the Young Warrior and stopped firing momentarily, giving Falcon the chance to shoot them down while their attention was diverted.

Sam: Nice timing, Goku. *folded his wings* Almost had to hit them with a couple of heat seekers. Glad I didn't.

Goku nodded before he took a look around. There were enemy bodies everywhere...some of them dead while most merely had the holy hell beaten out of them.

Goku: Looks like you guys already took out everyone else. Where's dad?

Sam: He's up-

Numerous loud explosions suddenly hit the building, sending glass and debris flying everywhere. Goku and Sam looked up and saw the middle floor of the institute was completely enveloped in flames.

Sam: Cap! What's going on?

Steve: *static* Sam, he's in a AFV headed north.

Sam: Copy that. Stay here and keep her safe until the gas is gone. * flies away*

Goku watches him fly away, as he decides to contact Natasha.

Goku: Natasha, are you alright?

Nat: I'm alright. Rumlow tried to kill me with a grenade but I managed to get away. I'm in pursuit of their truck right now.

Goku: *relieved to know she was okay* Alright. Wanda and I will join you guys once we're done here.

Nat: See you there.

Goku: *turns his attention to the Scarlet Witch* How are we doing?

Wanda: Almost finished. I like your new suit. It looks very cool.

Goku: Thanks.

Wanda finally got the last of the gas out of the building and the red glow in her hands and eyes disappeared from view. Goku goes down to her and picks her up, bridal style.

Goku: Hold on tight. We're gonna have to hurry if we want to catch up to the others.

The young Sokovian woman nodded as she holds on the young Saiyan around his neck, as he starts to fly. He then dashes through the city to join the others.

*later*

When they finally arrived at the market place, the two youngest Avengers could see Captain America squaring off against Rumlow not far from where they landed. There were many people wisely running away from the fight. Where the others were at though was a mystery.

Goku: See if you can find Natasha and Sam. I'll lend dad a hand.

Wanda nodded and ran to find the others while Goku leapt in to help Captain America. Rumlow managed to land a hard kick into the super soldier's groin, making even him wince in pain as he couldn't move momentarily.

The Hydra terrorist took advantage of Cap's temporary lapse and punched him in the face. The force of it was enough to send Captain America crashing through a empty stall. Goku appears in front of the fallen super soldier just in time to prevent Crossbones from striking a killing blow.

Rumlow: Out of the way, you little freak! This is between me and that son of a bitch right there.

Goku: *snorts in amusement* I'm the freak...says the guy whose face looks like it met a meat grinder.

Rumlow growled before a second knife popped up from his modified gauntlet and he charged towards the Young Saiyan. Goku ducks under a knife thrust, and hits a left on his chest, before giving a hard push kick on him.

Crossbones got up, but Goku dashes towards him, giving him a hard elbow to head, before hitting a series of vicious kicks, all around Rumlow, head to toe. After finishing his kicks, he hits an uppercut to the chest, sending Rumlow flying and crashing in a crate.

Goku: So you call yourself Crossbones...sounds like a generic pirate's name to me. Where's your parrot?

Rumlow comes out of the rubble as he growls and charges at Goku.

Rumlow: I'm gonna enjoy shutting you up, brat!

He goes for a Haymaker, but Goku grabs his fist and starts crushing it, making Rumlow grunt, before applying more pressure, making him scream. Remorselessly, he twisted Crossbones' arm, making it immobile as he screams in pain, before Goku picks him up and hits a hard kick to the chest.

He was going to continue, until he felt a hand touch his shoulder. He turns around to see his hand there behind him.

Steve: Pull back, son. I got this. Go see if everyone's alright.

Goku: You sure?

Steve: Yeah. You did good...I'll handle the rest.

Goku: Okay.

He ran off to find the others. Fortunately, it didn't take him long to find the Scarlet Witch and Black Widow as they were already making their way back to regroup. In Natasha's hand held a yellow vial filled with some sort of red liquid inside.

Nat: Glad to see you're okay. *smiles seeing Goku's suit* So this is your new suit...I like it.

Goku: *chuckles* Thanks. Glad to see you're alright, too. Is that the biological weapon they stole?

Nat: Yeah. They tried to trick us by splitting into two groups but Sam and I managed to find the right ones and take them down before they could drop it.

Wanda: They already defeated Rumlow's henchmen when I found them. Falcon went to check and see if any of the civilians were hurt.

Goku: *removes his mask* I was beating the heck out of Crossbones, until dad told me to go check on you guys. Not that I was struggling, he's just a complete weakling.

Nat: Steve's probably kicked his ass by now. That bastard Rumlow has never been a match for him. I'll sweep the area, make sure none of his men are still around. You two go check on old man Rogers.

Goku nods as he picks up Wanda and flys off to the entrance of the market while Natasha went the other way. They could see a defeated Rumlow kneeling before Captain America, muttering something as the super soldier held him by the vest. The mercenary's helmet had been removed and his horribly mutilated face was now out in the open.

Rumlow: I think I look pretty good, all things considered.

Steve: Who's your buyer?

Rumlow: *mocking grin* You know he knew you...your pal, your buddy, Bucky.

Steve: What did you say?!

Rumlow: He remembered you. I was there...he got all weepy about it till they put his brain back in the blender.

Captain Rogers was surprised to hear that and it showed on his face a little when Rumlow kept talking. Then, Goku's scouter alerted him as it scans through Rumlow, revealing explosives in his vest.

Goku: Oh crap.

Wanda: What?

Goku: Rumlow's planning to blow himself up. You need to get him away from dad now.

The Scarlet Witch nodded before she let's go off Goku and used her powers to float down to the ground. Crossbones slowly pulled out a small detonator from within his vest, unbeknownst to the super soldier.

Rumlow: He wanted you to know something. He said to me: please tell Rogers when you got to go, you got to go. *turns vicious*...And you're coming with me.

Wanda contained the vest bomb within a telekinetic scarlet barrier just as Rumlow pressed the detonator. The flames of the suppressed explosion burned against his body, forcing Crossbones to scream in agony. Gritting her teeth, the young Sokovian woman did her best to telekinetically lift Crossbones into the air. Holding back the powerful blast slowly proved to be too straining for the Scarlet Witch and the barrier she put around the mercenary's vest quickly disappeared.

Goku was still flying when he noticed Rumlow was dangerously close to the nearest building. His scouter measures the force of the explosives...the resulting explosion would completely devastate at least three floors of the structure once the Scarlet Witch's barrier gave out. Dashing in closer, Goku launched himself towards Crossbones and tackled him to the side with as much force as he could generate in the hopes of putting some more distance.

Wanda: Goku!

Goku closes his eyes  just before the C4 in Rumlow's vest finally detonated completely in the open air...engulfing both himself and the mercenary in a torrent of violent flames and smoke.
