Chapter 13

A few days later, Midoryia laid in his cell, curled up in a tight ball. The pain is unbearable, is this how Katsuki feels every single day? On day one, Midoryia was fine, the pain didn't bother him much but by day two, the pain was awful. Day three however, the pain went away, he just didn't have any energy and felt awful...but day four was approaching and he felt like he was going to be sick, but since he doesn't have anything except water in his system, it would be dry heaves which is even worse than regular vomiting.

Shigaraki smirked as he walked to Midoryia's cell, "are you ready to join yet?"

"Never," Midoryia growls, wishing he could just use his damn quirk but they'd put quirk canceling cuffs on their ankle when they'd brought them here.

"Why are you and your friends being so stubborn? All of yall could end your suffering right now, all you gotta do is join us."

"What are you doing to the others?" Midoryia asks, somehow finding the energy to shakily stand up, walking to the door. "Let them go!"

"If they would give in, they would be set free instantly."

"Don't hurt them!"

"Too late for that," Shigarki grins, "anyways, we'll try again tomorrow I guess."

"Damnit," Midoryia growls, hitting the cell door with his fist, hissing in pain. Looking down at the cuff around his ankle, he sits down and begins trying to pry it off, "please...I need to help the others, then check on Katsuki."

Meanwhile, Kirishima, Mina, and Sero were huddling together in a corner, not wanting to look at the league of villains anymore. "Is it true?" Sero asks, "did you really get bullied in middle school?" He looks towards Kirishima.

"Yes," Kirishima whispers, looking down. "Mina stood up for me everytime too."

The league of villains had tried to use the fact that Kirishima wasn't as strong in middle school against them. They thought that they wouldn't want to be friends with Kirishima anymore. They also exposed Sero for benign gay. Sero was afraid of how they'd act but Kirishima and Mina didn't say anything negative. The league of villains was obviously stupid if they thought any of this would make them betray each other, even if they've only known each other for a few days. They're already extremely close. The league of villains had let Dabi get to the kids, leaving burn marks on all three of them. They were in so much pain, but they didn't care, they'd never join.

"We need a plan to get out of here," Sero whispers, "I'm not sure the others are coming, I mean we barely know them."

"If they actually want to be heroes then they'll come or at the very least tell Mr. Aizawa, but I do agree we need a plan. I don't want to rely on others to save us." Mina says, looking down at her ankle, "but these stupid cuffs cancel out our quirks.

Kirishima starts to say something but stops, "do you hear that? It sounds like footsteps."

"Do you think Dabi is coming back?" Sero asks.

"No, these footsteps are different, lighter, like they're trying to be stealthy, maybe it's the others!"

"We need to be quiet in case it isn't," Mina whispers.

"We need to hurry up and find them before the villains get back," a voice says.

"Did you hear that?" Sero whispers, "I'm pretty sure it's someone else."

The three teens stood up, Mina wincing slightly at a particular wound. Thankfully, none of them were bleeding out though. "Are you ok?" Kirishima asks, worriedly.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Mina waves him off.

While they were busy checking on Mina, two men rounded the corner, Mr. Aizawa and Present Mic, rushing over as soon as they saw the three. "Are you three ok?" Aizawa asks, looking around for a key.

"A little banged up but we're fine," Sero says, "however, we have quirk canceling cuffs on our ankles."

Present Mic looks up, "I should be able to get those off with my quirk, no need to worry."

Aizawa finally finds a key and unlocks the cell. "Is Midoryia here as well? He hasn't shown up for class and his mother doesn't know where he is."

"He's here, somewhere...but there's something we need to tell you about him," Mina says, as the three of them quickly scurry out of the cell.

"Can it wait?" Aizawa asks, "he could be hurt."

"Yes, it can," Sero says, cutting Mina off. "We don't know where he is though, we haven't seen him in days."

"Go with Present Mic, he'll take y'all to the hospital to get checked out. I'm going to look around for Midoriya."

"Be careful," Mic says to Aizawa before looking at the teens. "We should hurry, let's go." He ushers them back the way he'd came, knowing Aizawa would be ok,

"Wait, is Denki, Jiro, and Candy ok?" Sero asks, looking up at Mic.

"They're fine, they came to us as soon as they woke up after being knocked out and told us what happened, we've been on the search for y'all since."

"That's a relief," Kirishima nods, "we've been really worried."

"Come on, we need to hurry and get out of here before the villains show back up." The three teens follow Present Mic out of the hidden base.

"Midoriya!" Aizawa calls out.

"Mr. Aizawa?" Midoryia calls out, weakly. He had basically no energy by now, the pain unbearable. He grabbed the cell bars and dragged himself up, "over here."

"Midoriya!" Aizawa exclaims, running over to him. "Are you ok?" He asks, concern written all over his face. Midoriya's legs and arms shook badly.

"I'm fine," he says, weakly. "Is Bakugo ok?"

Unlocking the cell door, Aizawa takes a breath, "he's been in the hospital for the past five days, however he's getting out today."

"The hospital?" Midoryia asks, "what happened? Did his mom...never mind, forget it. I need to see him!"

"What about his mom?"

"Nothing, don't worry about it. Can we just get out of here?"

Aizawa nods, "can you walk?"

"I'll manage...are the other three ok?"

"Yes, Present Mic is helping them get checked out to make sure they're ok."

"Present Mic?" Midoryia asks, his eyes widening, "so cool!" As he was talking, Aizawa noticed he was walking extremely slowly and seemed to be dragging himself along.

Aizawa stops and grabs Midoryia's arm gently, "are you sure you're ok? Are you hurt?'

"Fine..." Midoryia mumbles, his eyes blinking rapidly. "I'm not hurt physically...' He mumbles, fainting from the lack of food in his system. Aizawa frowned at Midoriya's response, "we're getting you to the hospital..."

An hour later, Aizawa met up with Present Mic in the waiting room. Kirishima, Mina, and Sero sat in a room together getting treatment for their burns while Midoryia was emitted to a hospital room of his own due to malnutrition. Speaking of Malnutrition, the doctors approached Mitsui about her son having the same issue but way worse. Of course, Mitsuki denied everything which gave the doctors the information they needed to call CPS.

Katsuki would occasionally sneak into Midoriya's hospital room to check on him. He was still out and the doctors didn't expect him to wake up until tomorrow. Katsuki is getting discharged today but he would rather stay if it meant he'd get to be closer to Midoryia until he knew he'd be ok, however, the two of them are still playing their game, so he had to keep this quick and quiet.

"Hey Izuku," Bakugo whispers, sitting down on the bed next to him, "I'm glad you're ok, I've missed you. These past few days have been awful but I might be getting away from my mother soon. The doctors found proof of the abuse, I just wonder if it's enough, I just hope I don't have to leave you. Please be ok, I can't live without you, you're my everything. I have to go but I'll try to come back and see you once you're awake." Standing up, Bakugo rests his hands in his pockets, walking to the door. Glancing back at Izuku one last time, his gaze lingers, a small smile appears on his face, "thank you for being here for me, get better soon."

Sneaking out of his room, Bakugo meets up with Mr. Aizawa and Present Mic in the waiting room, "you wanted to see me?"

"Yes, would you be willing to have a talk with us? Just us three?" Aizawa asks gently.

Bakugo takes a deep breath, "my mother won't like that."

"We won't let anything happen to you," Mic assures him.

"Alright," Bakugo nods, "let's talk..."

Denki, Jiro, and Candy were sitting with Kirishima, Mina, and Sero.

"I'm glad you all are ok," Jiro says, looking at the three. "Sorry we wasn't of more help."

"Don't be, we're all untrained, none of us stood a chance," Mina assures her. "Which reminds me, we still need to talk to Aizawa and Mic about the issue."

"What issue?" Denki asks, curious.

"Just something we encountered while kidnapped." Kiri somewhat explains. "Don't worry about it too much, there isn't anything we can do about it anyways."

"Oh ok," Denki nods. "We were really worried, sorry it took so long, they didn't leave any clues."

"If y'all don't mind, I'm going to get some rest, I'm really tired." Mina says, laying down on the bed. "We didn't get much rest there."

"Of course," Jiro nods, standing up. "Come on guys," she looks at Denki and Candy, "let's head to the cafeteria for a bit."

"Right, of course," Denki lingers on Kiri for a bit before heading out, Candy and Jiro following.

"I'm so grateful to those three," Sero says, laying down. Without them, we might still be down there, no one would have known what happened to us."

"Yeah, you're right." Mina says, yawning. "I'm going to get some rest though, I'm exhausted." Before anyone else said anything, Mina was out like a light, sleeping soundly.

"We should get some rest as well," Kiri says to Sero.

Sero nods and lays down on his bed, closing his eyes.

Kirishima laid down as well but didn't immediately fall asleep. He stared at the ceiling and sighed. "I hope everything turns out ok," he mumbles to himself before letting exhaustion take over.
