All of a sudden, in a flash, we fall through the bruise colored flames and then both hit the ground, but end up rolling down a steep, snowy hill.
I yelped as I rolled down, trying to stop as I went down, Lilith as well.
We then reached the bottom and stopped as the snow soaked into our clothes.
I groaned as I managed to sit up, rubbing my head.
What the hell was that?
I then looked around and my eyes widen as I realized where I was.
The maze. The building. The emblem.
"Wait.... This place....." I said outloud, managing to stand up, Lilith doing the same as she was a few feet away from me.
"Its Oblivion..... Obsidian's mirror world," she said, then turned to the building, brushing off some snow from her jacket. "This is your father's mental institution...."
I frowned as I looked around, not sure how I'm even here.
"I've been here before...." I said.
"What? Impossible," she snapped at me. "No one gets through Oblivion, not unless you've met Death or been summoned by someone here," she snapped.
I furrowed my brows as she paced around, trying to understand .
"Question is, what the hell are we doing here....?" she asked, sounding suspicious.
"Do not let your guard down!"
I gasped as the voice warned me, and quickly grabbed my sword, getting ready as she turned back to me.
"At least while we're here, we can get you your own cell," I snarled.
Lilith glared at me as she scoffed.
"So this is it.... The long awaited final battle," she snarled. "And with my bastard granddaughter, no less."
"You killed my mother...." I snarled.
"Wrong!" she snarled. "Your mother died because of the choices she and her brothers made!"
"YOU TRIED TO MARRY HER OFF TO SOME SERIAL KILLER!!!" I screamed.
She was quiet as she glared at me.
"She was a child... YOUR CHILD!!!" I shouted. "Did you ever, even once in your life, feel an ounce of love for any of them!?!?"
She was quiet as I glared at her, ans then was shocked at her silence.
"I see...." I said, shaking my head. "So a crown that isn't even yours is more important than your own children..... Than even your own husband?"
She froze at my words.
I then realized I hit a nerve.
"Keep at it. You're doing well."
I squinted a bit at Lilith.
"Wait a minute..... You never even loved Alexander.... Did you?" I said.
"You shut your mouth," She snarled.
"No, no.... It all makes sense now!" I snapped. "You weren't angry with me all that time I was your prisoner because I killed your husband..... You were furious because Alexander was more eligible than you could ever be!"
She snarled and took out her own sword.
"He was your ticket to being Queen of the Damned," I said, then smirked. "Because you know you are incapable of being it on your own....."
"Shut up!!" she shouted.
"And what's even sadder is.... You know that I, your doppelganger, am more capable of being that Queen instead of you....." I said.
If looks could kill, Lilith would have had me obliterated right where I stood.
"You are so incapable of love, Lilith..... You think a crown is gonna fix it all for you, but it won't," I said sternly.
I don't have any arrows left.... I don't know have many shots left in my pistol either..... Only have my one sword and.... And i don't have enough transport powder either, and then there's...
I pursed my lips and placed my hand over where my father's philosopher's stone was still in place.
Though I doubt heightened senses that are stonger than a vampire's will help me get out of this mess.
"Don't be quick to assume, my dear... Hold it in your hands...."
My eyes widen. "What do you mean?" I thought.
I quickly took it in my hands and focused on it, my senses being heightened again as then Lilith went to attack me, screaming as she charged at me.
I gasped as suddenly, as if we were the stone giving me some sort of power, a powerful blast of power came from me and deflected Lilith's attack, just as her sword almost struck me.
She yelped as the force knocked her back a few feet away, sword flying in a different direction.
I stared in shock as I looked down at the stone.
"Whoa....!" I mumbled.
Lilith groaned and tried to move, obviously in pain.
"Now's your chance! Run into the maze!!"
I quickly took off through the snow as Lilith tried to recover from the blast, and I made it into the maze just as a bullet whizzed past my head.
"DREAAAAAAM!!!" Lilith roared in angeras I made my way through the maze paths, making me run faster.
I quickly turned as I ran, and nearly hit a dead end.
"Fuck!" I grumbled as I ran.
"How the hell did that happen!?" I said as I ran.
"In the hands of the creator or his bloodline, the stone's crystaline elements were manipulated to also serve as a powerful protective relic for them."
I stopped. "So, the stone is my shield, is that what your saying?"
"Precisely. So long as you have it, it can do more than just alter one's mortality and nightmares."
I looked down in shock.
"My god...." I said.
"GET BACK HERE, DREAM!!!!" I heard Lilith scream, making me jump.
"Keep running."
I quickly put the stone in my pocket and took off, making my way through the maze.
I gasped as I almost hit a dead end, then trying to figure out another way.
"Keep running, Dream."
"We're really going to do this again!?" I shouted as I ran, taking one turn after another.
"This time its different.... I'm almost there...."
I skid to a stop near a dead end, confused.
"What?" I asked. "What do you mean?"
All of a sudden....
BOOM!!
I shrieked as a loud explosion went off not far away.
"GET BACK HERE, DREAM!!!!" I hear Lilith shriek.
I gasped and kept running as she was after me, throwing another grenade, and then another.
BOOM!!
BOOM!!
I screamed as pieces of hedge and snow rained over me, meaning she was getting closer, trying to make my way through the maze.
I then suddenly tripped over a root and yelped as I fell into the snow.
I groaned as I sat up, but then saw something red in my peripheral vision and looked, my eyes widening in surprise as I stood up.
"Stargazers...." I gasped, following them through the part of the maze.
Just like the one Chase gave me....
I looked back before quietly and quickly following the path as there was more and more as I kept going, and then I realized.....
"The heart of the maze....." I said, looking around as I realized where I found myself.
I then froze as I saw a strange familiar looking statue stating.
A shrouded angel, made of white marble, that appeared to be weeping.
"Wait....." I said, as I got closer to the weeping, and realized something, my heart dropping.
This is a grave...
I gulped nervously and got closer, seeing words carved at the pedestal the weeping angel stood on.
I gasped, eyes wide in shock, as I read what was on it.
Here lies in eternal rest
Lady Eloise Blair
Lieseil of Warhol
Beloved sister, wife,
mother and friend.
"I will see you in the stars."
"M-Mom....?" I murmured, feeling my heart twist in my chest, tears filling my eyes as I placed my hand over my mouth.
This was where she was buried.....
Then... That must mean....
I gasped in realization as I stood still, obaerving my surroundings.
"Where.... Where are you?" I asked, looking around.
"I'm almost there."
My eyes widen as then another grenade went off not far away.
"Keep running. Lead her
back out of the maze."
I gasped and looked around in worry.
Lilith can't find this place....
"I-I can't just leave her..." I whimpered, looking back.
"It is shrouded from her..... I made sure of it... I need you to buy some more time. Just get Lilith out of the maze, Dream. Now!"
I looked back before placing my hand on the pedestal.
"I'll come back.... I promise," I said, and then took off running.
It shatters me to leave her after I found her....
I kept running as I tried to think of something.
I can try and lead her towards me, then find a way inside the facility.
I release two shots into the air before running again.
Eventually I made it to the exit and ran out, seeing the building a few feet away.
Maybe if I make it inside, I can lose her there.... Buy some time, maybe even find something that can help get me back to Obsidian before she catches me....
I took off into a sprint and ran towards the Mental Institute, making my way through the snow.
However, just as I got to the courtyard of the building....
BANG!
I screamed as a burning pain shot through my shoulder, knocking me down to the ground and snow.
I grunt in pain as I looked back, seeing her holding up a gun in my direction.
I grunt and saw my own pistol fell nearby, and quickly went to reach it when...
BANG!!
I screamed out in agony as the bullet tore through my arm, breaking bone and causing blood to splash.
I screamed as I fell on my back, holding my now broken and bloody arm.
Oh no....
"You had so much potential...... You could have been a powerful Visigoth leader, yet you chose the opposite of everything......" she snarled as she walked towards me, gun still aimed at me.
I grunted and quickly tried to reach for my sword, but she made it towards me and just as I went to point it at her, she kicked it aside and then stepped right on my broken arm, a blood curdling scream escaping from my mouth.
She then swung the gun at my face, making me yelp as the butt of her pistol hit my cheekbone.
I groaned as I curled on the ground after she removed her foot, then knelt down and dug through my pocket, taking the stone in her hands, my vision almsot blurring and seeing double.
"N-No...." I said.
"Becoming a reject vampire's little blood whore... Working for the Blackwell's..... Killing your own grandfather....." she snarled, gripping the stone in her hand. "You're a disgrace.... An abomination, its no wonder Aldous is your perfect match..."
I groaned as I glared up at her, tasting blood in my mouth before she then swung kicked me in the stomach, making me feel a crack.
I yelped as she stood over me.
She got a rib, I know it.
"All this mess.... All this war.... For a realm you never knew even existed until you were nearly killed for falling in love...." she scoffed.
I glared up at her as I tried to even my breathing, pain coarsing through my whole body.
"A-And who's fault is that?" I coughed, looking up at her.
She glared at me as I sat up a bit.
"Everything that's happened to me.... F-From the moment I was born..... It was all you....." I snarled. "All because you were angry at my mother.... At my uncles...."
She glared quietly at me.
"They just wanted a better life.... Yet you punished them for seeing the truth....." I panted. "T-They didn't want to be tyrants who got respect out of fear...... Unlike you and that son of a bitch, Alexander........"
She grunted and pulled back the hammer of the gun as she kept it aimed at me.
I glared at her before pressing my head against the nozzle.
"Go right the fuck ahead..... Even if the last Lieseil is dead..... You still have the Blackwell Dynasty and the Warhol's to make sure that you never get MY crown, no matter what you do......."
She glared at me with so much spite and poison.
"And even if you do..... My people will never see you as their queen...." I snarled. "You have my word on that...."
I hear a deep growl as her teeth pulled back in a snarl and she pressed the nozzle of the gun harder against my head.
"I should have killed you in the womb with your pathetic mother when I had the chance....." she snarled.
I glared at her as I kept myself steady, my heart beating a mile a minute.
"Be sure to send say hello to her for me....." she snarled. "And don't worry... I'll be sure your little vampire family gets your dismembered corpse delivered one by one......"
I glared at her before looking down.
"I'm sorry, Mother.... I will love you forever, Remington......"
Then, all of a sudden, just as I closed my eyes, a blinding bright purple light flashed out of no where and made me shut my eyes as I heard Lilith yelp, both of us getting blasted backwards a bit.
I groaned and shielded my eyes a bit and then I looked up, my vision clearing as a dark figure stood in front of me.
I gasped and froze as as I'm suddenly met with a tall man in a Plague Doctor's mask similar to mine and long black coat, a long intricate sword in his hand, as well as a hat.
I breathed in sharply as I watched as he picked up the philosopher's stone from the ground, making me realize Lilith dropped it.
He then turned to face me, and I gasped and backed up a little from him, afraid of an attack, but then stopped as my eyes saw something on his coat.
That's when I saw the familiar pin and went still, my heart also stopping.
It... It can't be.....
The figure tilted its head curiously at me.
I gulped nervously as my heart pounded hard against my ribcage.
He reached up and pulled his mask off, and looked down at me.
Blue eyes, just like mine.... A face aged by sorrow and years of hardship... A face I've only ever seen in portraits or flashbacks full of loss.....

"It.... It's you..." I said in shock he stood before me.
My father smiled softly and nodded at me.
"Hello, my sweet Dream... It's been so long...." he said with a smile, holding his hand out.
That voice.... No, it.... Oh my god...
It was his all along.....
I pursed my lips and meekly reached out with my goid hand when....
"Well well.... the Lord of Lies himself...." Lilith snarled, making us turn as Lieseil stood in front of me, sword raised in defense.
She managed to stand up, glaring at the both of us.
"You've caused enough pain to my family, Lilith.... I won't let you hurt my daughter or my empire anymore," he snarled as I quickly stood up, grabbing my sword again and holding it up as well.
Lilith glared as she raised her weapon.
"Your pistol," he whispered. "How many shots do you have left?"
"One left...." I said to him. "She broke my shooting arm though."
He pursed his lips in thought.
"Make it count...." He said, looking at me.
I looked at him and nodded. "For the Void."
He smiled proudly down at me with a nod. "For your mother...."
I smiled as we then faced Lilith, ready to fight.
It ends here.

So, if anyone didn't know by now, I have a habit of mixing eye colors for characters in my stories, because I am dumb lmao 🤪🤦🏻♀️
Anyway, Lynette AND Bartholomew Lieseil both have *BLUE* eyes. So I do apologize for any confusion.
Also, this chapter and the next was hard to write since i was getting major writer's block for Lieseil's introduction, among other things, so I do apologize for the delay.
Next chapter should be up soon! 🌻
