Most likely Eddie and richie had a crush on bill at some point.

Because of the part in the book where richie is comforting bill while hes crying and hugging him telling him it's going to be ok.

Eddie also probably liked bill because in the book they say that Eddie looked at bill with admiration almost like he was a god to him,they also hung out often.

But richie and Eddie at some point realized that they liked eachother.

Also everyone says that Eddie's gay and richies bisexual when most likely Eddie would have been the bisexual one because you never get to see any romantic partners of richies and Eddie actually has a wife,now most likely Eddie only got his wife because she reminded him of his mother and to deny his sexuality.

So I think that there both just gay.

Also the reason I think that richie is a homosexual and not a bisexual is because in the 2019 film it only showed henry yelling the f-slur at richie and never anyone else. And the r+e. In the 2019 film before pennywise sings that weird song to richie at the Paul bunion statue a dead decaying zombie like adrian mallon gives him and invatation to richie own funeral and as he walks away he compliments. The whole reason adrian kellin was killed was because peaple didnt like the fact that he was gay.
