richie sat criss-cross on his bed across from eddie, surrounded in a mess of papers and books. they have exams coming up and eddie has been forcing richie to study with him, so he didn't fail or whatever.

richie sighed dramatically and threw himself backwards, laying flat on his back and staring at the ceiling. he was really craving eddie's affection right now, but eddie was really focused on studying.

richie sighed louder this time, and eddie continued to ignore him.

richie stretched his foot out to poke eddie's cheek with it. "pay attention to me, loser." richie begged, pulling his leg away and sitting up back to his previous position.

eddie looked up and stared blankly at richie, lowering his book with an unamused face.

"don't you wanna study now until you're comfortable with the material so you don't have to stress about it anymore and you can do what you want without the weight of the exams on your shoulder?" eddie looked up and asked him rhetorically.

"no?" richie replied, as if it was obvious. eddie just rolled his eyes and began copying things from the textbook into his notebook, this was the easiest way for him to memorize things.

richie tiredly looked down at his notes and looked through everything he has studied and what else he still needs to work on.

he watched eddie for a while and zoned out on his rosy cheeks and furrowed eyebrows. richie smiled when he thought of eddie's slight bitchface; he looked a little pissed off whenever he was concentrated.

couldn't forget about his new and improved haircut, he's changed it since 4 years ago when they were 12. he's since then grown out curls- beautiful curls that were currently in his face and covering his eyes.

richie got an idea and quickly snatched eddie's notebook away, slightly sitting on it and smiling innocently.

"what the fuck, give it." eddie said, rolling his eyes and unsuccessfully reaching it to grab it.

"not until you give me a kiss." richie replied smugly, innocently smiling and reaching his flattened hands up underneath his chin.

"real cute princess, seriously, give it back." eddie said, unamused once again.

"nuh-uh, you have to kiss me." richie said stubbornly.

"fine." eddie gave up and smirked, leaning in slowly. richie smiled, satisfied, and closed his eyes, he felt eddie's lips lightly brush against his, and he was about to close the gap when eddie said "sike," and pulled away, taking his notebook back with him.

eddie chuckled at richie's stunned expression, his mouth agape and disappointment evident on his face.

"close your mouth, or else you'll swallow a fly." eddie said proudly, continuing to write important vocab into his notebook.

richie obeyed his orders and pouted, giving him big puppy dog eyes.

"pweaseee?? i jus wanna small kiss, all i have left is chemistry and some english left. would it really hurt to take a break?" he practically begged, and eddie made eye contact and smiled at him, raising his eyebrows, but staying silent. his heart became warm while looking at his wide brown eyes and his long eyelashes, and his curly black hair.

"i've worked so hard, day and night! i've barely slept, i'm exhausted! i deserve a break." he exaggerated, wiping fake sweat from his forehead. eddie rolled his eyes and leaned forward to peck him.

he placed his hands on richie's shoulders as he waited for him to deepen the kiss like he usually did, but he pulled away when richie didn't take it any further. eddie's eyebrows furrowed as he stayed inches from richie's face.

"what was that?" he asked, lightly tapping richie's shoulders with his fingers. he pulled one hand away and took richie's glasses off and set them to the side, looking into his dark brown eyes as if they were the sky on a cloudless night.

"what was what?" richie questioned.

"you usually kiss me more?" he answered, and richie chuckled at how adorable eddie was while asking.

"i just asked for one kiss- i know studying is important to you, i don't wanna bother you too much-" he said, but eddie rolled his eyes at him before connecting their lips again, shocking richie. it took him a minute, but he eventually kissed back and eddie slowly moved the books and papers out of the way and moved his left hand to cup richie's cheek as he continued to kiss him.

richie's hand found its way to eddie's hair and he twirled his fingers into the curls, smiling into the kiss when eddie leaned into richie until his back hit the bed. he felt goosebumps as eddie adjusted himself on top of him, becoming more comfortable as their lips continued to move together.

they kissed for several more minutes before eddie pecked richie one last time and pulled away slowly to catch his breath.

"damn eds, you really know how to take my breath away, don't ya?" he smiled widely as eddie laid between his legs, propping himself up on his elbow and kissing his neck.

"how's that for chemistry?" eddie giggled, resting his forehead against richie's and kissing his nose.

"eh, think i'm still a little rusty, could use more practice.." richie smirked before connecting their lips again.
