internet friends

omgg heyyy long time no see again

i know i mentioned something about a really good idea for a oneshot and i was gonna do it but that's not gonna happen skfhskjh i had a lot of motivation at first but i lost it pretty quickly. the gist of it was that richie and eddie were both famous and worked together and were in love but they had to hide it bc of homophobia. richie accidentally outs them one day and eddie gets extremely mad at him and they break up & then years later, richie writes a song abt him and they get back together and yeah. there ya go 😀👍

heres a different oneshot tho i hope u like it !!!!!!!!!!!! it's set in more modern time (without corona tho) and its also inspired by a dream i just had 😀 i kind of forget how to write so im sorry if it sucks rip

this is 6095 words i hope you enjoy

Eddie took a deep breath, trying to calm his anxiety. He was finally going to be meeting his internet friends and could barely calm his nerves since he first found out, two months ago, when they all planned it.

The group of 7 all met online about three years ago, when they were all 16, through similar interests and different things like that. It started with Richie, Stan, Beverly, and Mike, who liked the same show and met while talking about it online. Slowly, the group added Eddie, Bill, and Ben, and the seven of them talked constantly and always did different things together - except meet up in real life.

Now that all of them were adults, it was safe for them to meet each other without having to ask parents (because then it definitely wouldn't have worked out for the group) and they had enough money to take care of themselves.

The group also had decided to make youtube channels and see if they would all blow up together, even though they all did different things. Richie did a lot of gaming, he had the most subscribers of the group. Some did vlogs, some did videos to help fans relax, some of them taught things, Eddie didn't upload on his though. He was too anxious and didn't really know what to do. He had one video where he collabed with Richie but that was it, he did gain a decent amount of subscribers though just for being Richie's friend.

Eddie looked through his suitcases, checked his lists, and looked around his apartment to see if he was missing anything. The group pitched in money to rent a house for a month - they wanted it to be a long visit. They all lived in different areas of the US, but three of them lived in California so that's where they rented a house. Eddie checked his phone. The time was 1:17 pm, his flight was in about 5 hours. He also got a notification for a text from Richie.

richie: i can't believe we're actually meeting today dude. im so excited to see you in person for the first time

Eddie blushed and his heart skipped a beat. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves that just reappeared, and texted back.

eddie: me too :) im also very nervous lol

Eddie had a crush on Richie since pretty much the beginning of their friendship, but Richie had a girlfriend so Eddie never said anything, he didn't want to cross that line. It was a complicated story, Richie met her a few months before he met all his internet friends, and they had been together off and on. Richie always went to Eddie for relationship advice when he didn't know what to do.

Personally, Eddie thought that he was in a bad relationship and the two just.. didn't work together, but he never said that because he was worried that he was missing something. Of course he didn't know what went on behind the scenes so he didn't really know if it was a good or bad relationship, but Richie's girlfriend seemed slightly controlling and he seemed almost scared of her sometimes. Richie didn't seem to talk about her that much in general, though.

The two's close friendship was good enough for Eddie. Although, sometimes Richie flirted and Eddie never knew how to react. If he flirted back, he would've felt guilty. He didn't want to mess with Richie's feelings, because Richie opened up about being very vulnerable and he easily gave in to anyone who gave him attention. It was a long story.

richie: it's okay, i am too. i'm just so eager for you to get here already. im so impatient

Richie was already in California and he lived the closest to the airport where Eddie would be coming from, which was why they agreed that Richie would pick up Eddie and they'd drive to the house they're renting together.

eddie: you already know i'll be texting you the second i'm on and off that plane rich :) take a nap or something, the time will go by quicker

richie: that's a good idea actually. night eds, love ya

eddie: love ya too, sleep well

richie: oh i will

Eddie smiled and checked the time, it was only 2 pm, meaning 11 am for Richie. He was tempted to take a nap as well though - he finished packing and there was nothing else to do besides sit there anxiously.

--

Eddie grabbed all his bags and his suitcase and looked around for the millionth time, feeling like he forgot something, as always. He called an uber, arrived at the airport, and sent richie a text before getting on the plane.

eddie: hey how does it feel knowing i'll be on my way any minute now??

richie: YESSSSSSS im so excited to see u, u have no idea. i may not seem it over text but i literally dont know how to express my excitement :(

eddie: it's okay rich i feel the same way :)

About 20 seconds later, Eddie got an incoming facetime call.

He answered the call to see Richie's face really close to the camera. He pulled the phone away from his face and Eddie saw his head of dark brown curls and couldn't help but smile.

"Aw you're so cuteeee!" Richie said, scrunching his nose. "You look amazing."

Eddie rolled his eyes and responded in a stupid accent.

"Oh stoppppp, I could say the same for youuuuu," Eddie said, making Richie laugh.

They talked for a few more minutes before Eddie's flight was called and he had to go.

"I gotta go now," Eddie said, frowning. Richie put his face up to the camera and gave him pouty lips.

"Alrightttt, I love you, be safe." Richie said.

"I'll be as safe as I can possibly be. I'll see ya soon." Eddie smiled widely.

"See you soon." Richie said, hanging up. Eddie took a deep breath and got ready to go. Once he got on the plane, he fell asleep within a half hour.

--

Once the plane landed, Eddie eagerly found his bags and texted Richie that he arrived. Once Eddie found all his things, he made his way to where Richie said he was. Once he saw him, Richie didn't notice him yet so he quickly made his way over to him in an attempt to almost scare him.

"Oh my god Eddie, I was looking in a whole ass different direction, you scared the shit out of me!" Richie said, laughing.

"That was the point, loser." Eddie said, letting go of his suitcase and nearly tackling Richie, hugging him tightly and squeezing the hell out of him. Richie did the same, and they didn't say anything for a few minutes, they just gave each other the hug that they've both needed for a long time. Eddie felt Richie kiss the top of his head and he hugged him even tighter.

"I can't fucking believe that I'm actually looking at you and you're actually here." Richie said once they pulled away, holding on to his arms still.

"I honestly don't really know what to do with myself or how to react to any of this, I guess I'm still trying to process it all." Eddie said, leaning back into Richie and putting his head on his chest. The both of them stood and leaned against the trunk of Richie's car, not ready to get back on the road yet.

Richie rubbed Eddie's back and brought his hands up to Eddie's hair, playing with it and lightly massaging his scalp. It reminded Eddie of getting his hair washed at a salon; he loved when people played with his hair.

Eddie pulled away after another minute and let out a loud, obnoxious yawn, making Richie burst into laughter.

"You're so cute," Richie said in between giggles, "are you tired?"

"Hell yeah, it feels like midnight for me even though it's only nine."

"Ah the best part, adjusting to new timezones. Are you hungry?"

"Honestly yeah, I've barely eaten anything today. Mind stopping at mcdonald's or something? I can pay for it." Eddie asked, grabbing his suitcase and bags.

"Of course, I'm starving too honestly. I haven't had much of an appetite all day." Richie replied, opening the trunk of his car and helping Eddie fit his things in.

Eddie got in the car and was hit in the face with the cold AC, his favorite feeling in the summer. He sighed and got comfortable, putting his seatbelt on.

Richie gave him the aux cord so he could play music, and he put on songs from the playlist that they shared, one where they put their favorite songs that they both liked on.

Soon, the two of them were loudly yelling the lyrics to every song, and Eddie never felt so free and alive. He genuinely hadn't felt that happy in so long, let alone ever. It was a new feeling that he didn't really know how to handle. They put the windows down and let the warm air surround their face, and Eddie laughed as their hair kept flying in their face every time they were on the highway.

A few minutes later, Richie pulled into a Mcdonald's drive through.

"What'cha want?" He asked.

"20 piece nugget meal and a milkshake!" Eddie said happily. Richie repeated his order to the drive through worker who gave them their total after Richie was done saying what he wanted. Eddie started looking for his wallet but Richie slapped his arm.

"Nuh uh. I'm paying, don't worry about it."

"You sure?" Eddie asked, he didn't wanna argue because he knew Richie would win anyway.

"Yes bitch, put your wallet away." Richie giggled, pushing his hair back.

"Okay, okay, pushy." Eddie joked, laughing and sending Richie into another fit of giggles even though it wasn't even funny - they were both just so happy to be in each other's presence.

Once they got their meals, Richie parked in the parking lot while they both ate. Richie was a faster eater, plus he only got a sandwich for himself. Although Richie naturally ate fast, they still took their time and talked about whatever came to mind.

Eddie took a sip of his milkshake and Richie made grabby hands.

"Can I have a sip?" Richie asked, giving him a pouty face, which made him roll his eyes and immediately give in and hand it over.

"Their milkshakes are probably the best milkshakes I've ever had." Richie said in the most serious voice possible, making Eddie giggle.

"You said that as if you were giving a fucking speech or something." Eddie explained, making Richie wheeze.

"We're gonna be so annoying if we can't stop having laughing fits around each other, I'm sure they'll kick us out of the group within a half hour of meeting us in person." Richie joked.

There was silence for a moment before Eddie responded, "they hate us cause they ain't us," making Richie lose it again.

"Dude stop you're gonna make me fuckin' choke," Richie said in between laughs, taking a sip of his soda.

"You know, nothing we're saying is funny at all, we're both just hella tired, aren't we?" Eddie asked.

"Oh definitely, even though we both napped. It's also just the excitement of seeing each other for the first time." Richie responded and Eddie nodded.

"So what's going on exactly? When is everyone arriving? Who's already here?" Eddie asked, pulling his leg up onto the seat to sit more comfortably.

"So Bev and Mike are already here, Stan and Bill drove to each other first so they'll be arriving in about four hours apparently," Richie checked the time. "And Mike will pick them up, and Ben should be here in six hours, Bev will be picking him up. Mike and Bev are asleep right now, so yeah, and then we're all gonna meet at the house we're renting." Richie explained.

"I'm the first arriver, I'm special." Eddie joked, putting a peace sign up.

"Oh yeah, very special." Richie smiled. "When we're done eating, wanna go back to my apartment for a little? I can show you around." Richie asked.

"Yeah sure, we have nothing better to do." Eddie agreed.

Once Richie finished his food, he started driving again and within a minute, he opened his mouth begging for a chicken nugget.

"Can I pwease have one?" Richie asked before opening his mouth again, and Eddie jokingly shoved one in his mouth.

"Ow what the fuck?!" Richie mumbled, trying to chew it.

Once they got to Richie's apartment, Eddie followed closely behind him up to his door. Richie unlocked it and showed him around inside, showed him the kitchen, living room, bathroom, etc. It was a pretty average apartment, a little on the smaller side but it didn't matter. Although Richie made a lot of money from youtube, he didn't really need anything big right now.

Eddie went to use the bathroom and once he got out, Richie was nowhere to be found. He checked all around the apartment before checking his room to find him laying on his bed with his cat.

"Oh my god! I didnt know you had a cat!" Eddie exclaimed, sitting down next to where he was laying to pet them.

"Her name is pluto, after my favorite planet. I just got her a few months ago and I guess I didn't think to mention it." Richie said, holding Pluto on his stomach and petting her. Richie tapped the bed next to him and Eddie hesitantly laid down, facing him.

"She's my fucking baby, I love her so much." Richie said tiredly. "Do you wanna take a nap? We don't have much to do for the next like four hours." he asked.

"Sure, I could use one anyway," Eddie replied, sitting up.

"Oh come on, don't tell me you wanna go sleep on the couch, I mean I won't force you to stay here but don't be scared to cuddle with the homies." Richie laughed, reaching him arms up and pulling Eddie down next to him. Eddie got nervous about stuff like this, especially with Richie having a girlfriend, he never knew if he was crossing a line. He also didn't want to ask because he didn't want to make it weird. Maybe this was just Richie's way of being friendly. He always went with whatever Richie said but was too scared to make moves on his own.

"I mean, if you insist," Eddie joked, laying down next to him. He felt awkward for a few minutes and then tried readjusting himself to be more comfortable but nothing was working for him.

"C'mere," Richie suggested, holding his arms out again. He put his arms around Eddie's waist and pulled him next to him where Eddie put his head on Richie's chest and finally closed his eyes. Eddie's nerves went through the roof, quietly trying to calm his breathing so he doesn't sound like he just ran up three flights of stairs. Richie noticed this, along with his heartbeat that was going 50 times a second, and gently rubbed his back. Eddie listened to Richie's heartbeats, counting them in his head as he finally fell asleep.

--

"Eds," Richie whispered, gently rubbing his arm to try to wake him up. "We should get up soon." He said, leaning on his elbow, right next to Eddie.

"Little longer," Eddie mumbled, gripping Richie's shirt and burying his head in it. Richie felt his stomach flip and his heart speed up. He attempted to say, "okay," but his voice cracked and nothing came out but a mere whisper.

Richie put his arm back around Eddie and stared at the ceiling for about a half hour before trying again.

"Eddie, c'mon," he said, running his fingers through Eddie's hair and around his ear. Eddie shot up, sitting foreward immediately before looking around.

"Huh?" he mumbled, and Richie's stomach fluttered at his morning voice.

"It's about four am, Ben should be here soon and we're all going to meet at the house." Richie explained, playing with his hair again.

"Okay," Eddie replied, yawning and leaning back to lay down, staring at the ceiling and trying to wake up. Richie went on his phone and texted the groupchat that they all had.

richie: me and eds will be coming to the house soon, i showed him my apartment and we accidentally fell asleep lol whoops

Eddie got a notification and checked his phone, realizing that it was just Richie.

"You're such a little liar," Eddie chuckled.

"What?" Richie beamed.

"We didn't accidentally fall asleep, we literally both did on purpose." Eddie rolled his eyes.

"Shhhh," Richie replied, earning another laugh out of Eddie. "They don't have to know that."

Mike: Stan, Bill, and I are already here just chilling, take your time!

beverly: Ben's flight just arrived like 20 mins ago and we're getting breakfast and then we'll be there too

richie: how can you possibly eat at a time like this

beverly: wdym

richie: bitch its like 4 am

beverly: and?

richie: i get sick and feel like i'm gonna throw up if i eat this early

beverly: sucks to suck huh

richie: 🖕🏻

Eddie laughed, watching as the notifications appeared on his phone.

beverly: so do you not eat late night snacks then ????

richie: i can eat them fine if i've been awake but not if i just woke up

beverly: that makes no sense

richie: if i've been awake all night then i can eat just fine, but if i wake up that early and eat as soon as i wake up, i get sick

beverly: ur just weird but its oaky we still love you

richie: oaky

beverly: shut up whore

richie: oaky

beverly: 🖕🏻

stan: it's too early for this please shut the fuck up

beverly: ever heard of muting a groupchat?

"It's okay, I know what you mean. I get the same way," Eddie laughed and put his phone down.

"You always get me, Eds." Richie blew a kiss. Eddie rolled his eyes.

"We should get ready to go, it'll be awkward if we're super late." Eddie said, stretching and sitting up.

"Well all your stuff is in my car already, my stuff is all packed, I just have to put Pluto in a cat carrier and carry my stuff out and we're good to go." Richie said, getting up from the bed and stretching. "Wanna go load up my car now?"

Eddie nodded and they grabbed all of Richie's bags, heading out to his car.

"How the hell are we gonna fit all of this stuff?" Eddie asked, he managed to fit one bag in the trunk but they had to fit everything else in the backseat.

"I can fit the rest of the bags back here, but I don't know about Pluto. Do you mind holding her carrier while we drive there?" Richie asked.

"Yeah sure, how long of a drive is it again?" Eddie shrugged.

"A little less than an hour, I live the closest to it."

"Oh okay, yeah that's fine, do you need help with her or can I get in the car?"

"I'm good, go 'head." Richie said, jogging back to his apartment.

--

"Shhh, shhh, it's 'kay" Eddie whispered to Pluto as she meowed repeatedly, clearly very anxious from being in the car.

"She really doesn't like car rides. Pretty sure she always thinks we're going to the vet." Richie sighed, turning the music quieter and putting his window down a little.

"You gotta take her out to more fun places and show her that the outside world isn't all that bad." Eddie smiled, sticking his finger through the holes of the carrier and petting her forehead with his index finger.

"You're right, I just feel so guilty hearing her meow like that."

"It's okay, I would too." Eddie said. "Shhh, we'll be there before you know it." he whispered, quieting her meows.

"She likes you." Richie mentioned.

"Who doesn't?" Eddie laughed, immediately following it with, "that's a joke, I'm just kidding."

"I mean, you're right, you're a very likable person." Richie laughed.

"I think a lot of people could disagree." Eddie chuckled, putting his focus back on Pluto.

"Well, not me!" Richie replied. "Anyway, we're almost there, like ten minutes left."

-

"Ayyyy look who it is!" Mike cheered, greeting Richie and Eddie as they walked through the doors of their temporary house.

"Hey losers," Stan said, waving at them. He and Bill stood up in unison, walking over to where they were standing.

"Hey! This place is nice, this is the first time I'm actually inside." Richie commented, looking around. It was decently sized, seeing as they were looking for a place for all seven of them. "Bev and Ben here yet?" He asked.

"Should be here any second." Stan replied.

"This place is huge, theres enough bedrooms for us each to have our own, there's just so much space. And a balcony!" Mike cheered excitedly.

"Did you guys pick a room already?" Eddie asked, leaning against the handle of his suitcase.

"We looked at them but no, not really, we thought we'd just wait till everyone gets here and they're all basically the same anyway." Stan said.

"The party has arrived!" Bev screamed as she walked through the door with Ben following closely behind her. She huffed and dropped her bags to the floor, resting her hand on her hip.

"Hey guys!" Ben said excitedly.

"The g-gang's all here!" Bill said, smiling widely.

-

The group had all been staying together for a week now. When they all first met up, they spent the whole day talking and telling random stories, along with getting caught up on sleep. Two days later, they went to an amusement park. They also all had their own bedrooms, although they spent most of the time hanging out in someone else's.

"M-morning," Bill said to Eddie who entered the kitchen where Bill and Stan were making chocolate chip pancakes.

"Hey," he yawned, leaning against the counter. Beverly sat on top of the island that was in the middle of the kitchen, kicking her legs back and forth while she talked to Bill and Stan. Eddie checked the time: 10:47 AM. "Is everyone else still sleeping?"

"Yeah, I assume so." Stan said, turning his back against the counter and stretching his arms out.

A few minutes later, Richie walked into the kitchen.

"Morning!" Eddie said, smiling widely.

"Hey." He replied, and Eddie could already tell that something was off.

"Sleep okay?" Eddie asked.

"I guess," Richie replied dryly, shrugging. He grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and left the kitchen.

"Pancakes will be done soon if you want some!" Stan yelled out as he walked away. Richie ignored him, and Stan and Eddie looked at each other and had a whole conversation with their eyes. They both shrugged, neither of them knowing what was up with Richie.

"I'll go talk to him," Eddie said, grabbing a plate, putting some pancakes and syrup on it before searching for Richie. He found him sat on the couch, his legs pulled up to his chest as he leaned against the back of the couch and scrolled through his phone. Eddie sat down next to him.

"You good?" Eddie asked, holding his plate out to Richie. He tore a little bit of the pancake off and shoved it in his mouth.

"I'm okay Eds." Richie said.

"You sure? If you want to talk, I'm always here." Eddie said, leaning into his side, putting his head on his shoulder.

"I'm sure, thanks Eddie Spaghetti." he reassured, playing with Eddie's hair.

"Of course." He said, closing his eyes as Richie kissed the top of his head.

Once everyone was awake, they decided to go down to the beach for the day. They all got ready, changing into their bathing suits and packing some things that they would need while out.

They spent the first few hours swimming, then decided to get out and walk on the boardwalk for the rest of the evening.

"I'm going to get a snowcone, who wants to come with?" Stan asked. Richie, Eddie, and Beverly were all eating icecream cones. Ben and Bill stood up, getting ready to find snow cones.

"I'm good, good luck." Mike said, referring to them trying to find snow cones in the crowd.

-

"Richie and I are gonna go down to the beach again if you guys want to join?" Eddie asked. It was 8 PM and the sunset was in about a half hour, Richie and Eddie really wanted to get some pictures of it.

"I don't know about them but I'm too tired. I'm going to go home and crash right away." Mike waved, shaking his head. Everyone else agreed, apologizing.

"Send me any pictures you take though!" Beverly laughed, running her fingers through her hair to get it out of her face before turning around and following the rest of the group home.

"Just us, huh?" Richie asked, raising his eyebrows and elbowing Eddie.

"The fuck is that supposed to mean?" Eddie laughed, finishing his icecream cone and standing up.

"I dunno, just thought it was funny." Eddie rolled his eyes and started walking down to the beach again.

"Let's build a sand castle!" Richie suggested. Eddie noticed that he's cheered up a little throughout the day, and he didn't want to ruin it by accident so he agreed.

"C'mon, we gotta get closer to the water. Have you never built a sand castle before?" Eddie jokingly shoved him lightly.

"Shhhh," Richie said, running closer to the water and splashing Eddie with it.

"What the hell?" Eddie asked, deciding to ignore it and sit down. He started shaping the sand and building a square.

"I'll build a wall and a moat around it." Richie said, digging up the sound in a rectangle around the castle.

About a half hour later, the sun started setting and the sky was slowly turning into bright pinks, purples, and blues. By now, most people have left the beach and it was getting darker.

Eddie took out his phone and started taking pictures. Richie threw a peace sign in front of Eddie's phone, making him roll his eyes.

"You should go pose, I'll take pictures of you!" Eddie suggested, smiling widely and standing up to get better angles. Richie rolled his eyes and mumbled a "fine" before posing stupidly.

In one, he threw a peace sign in the air, making himself laugh. In the next, he did a basic pose where he was leaning forward with his hand on his thigh, sticking his tongue out to make fun of the pose that most girls do. Eddie managed to capture one where Richie looked peaceful, it was his resting face and he was looking to the side of the camera, and he just seemed very relaxed and calm. Eddie loved it. There were some other ones that Eddie got that he really loved.

"I'll set a video up and we should take pictures together!" Eddie said, putting his bag in the sand and balancing his phone on top of it, starting the recording. Eddie ran in front of it where Richie was and posed.

"I'll screenshot some parts of it later to get pictures or whatever." Eddie explained. Richie didn't reply, but he put his arm around Eddie's waist and leaned down to kiss his cheek. Eddie felt his cheeks turn bright red and he smiled before lightly pushing Richie away.

"It appears the sun has now set." Richie said in a funny accent, walking with Eddie back to his phone after doing a few more poses.

"It's so dark now," Eddie replied, picking up his phone and putting it in his bag.

"It's peaceful."

"You think so?" Eddie asked. They walked closer to the water and looked up to the sky that was quickly turning dark blue. Eddie shivered, visibly shaking for a second before backing up.

"You okay?"

"The ocean gives me anxiety, especially at night."

"How come?" Richie asked, moving behind him to hug him from behind, resting his chin on Eddie's head.

"It's just.. I don't know, it's just massive, it looks infinite, just like space. And there's so many things inside it too. I've always been kinda scared of the ocean. I don't mind going in it as long as my feet touch the ground, but if I start thinking about it too hard then that's when I get anxiety." Eddie explained, leaning back into Richie's chest, letting himself relax in his arms.

"I can see where you're coming from. I love the ocean and space, I mean yeah they're vast and mysterious and we don't know much about them, but I think it makes life more interesting. I don't know how to explain it, it just brings me peace and comfort to watch the sky or ocean at night. It's so calming to me." Richie replied.

Eddie turned around in his arms, hugging him tightly and resting his head on Richie's chest. They stood like that for a few minutes before Richie pulled away and asked if he wanted to go back home, to which Eddie agreed.

"Bev texted me about an hour ago that everyone pretty much went to bed and she was going too, so we just need to be quiet." Richie said and Eddie nodded, yawning. Eddie noticed that Richie's mood seemed a little down again, but he didn't know if he was looking too far into it. Maybe he was just tired.

"I'm going to shower and then probably head to bed." Eddie said.

"I'll probably make myself something to eat, I don't know what yet but i'll make you some too." Richie offered and Eddie smiled.

Once Eddie got out of the shower, he changed into plaid pajama pants and an oversized grey t-shirt. He looked around for Richie, checking his room to see if he was in there before remembering that he was going to make food.

Eddie quietly walked downstairs to the living room, then he stopped in the room next to the kitchen and quietly called Richie, not wanting to scare him. From the way the house was designed, they all got easily scared while in the kitchen. They couldn't easily see anyone walking in and they often didn't hear them either.

Richie turned around, seeing it was Eddie and walked to him, unexpectedly engulfing him in a hug.

"Are you okay?" Eddie asked, laughing slightly and wrapping his arms around Richie.

"Not really." Richie mumbled into his neck. Eddie immediately held him tighter and rubbed his back.

"What's wrong?"

"I need to talk to you." Richie said. Eddie pulled away and nodded, leading him over to the couch. Richie laid down and Eddie laid next to him, putting his head on his chest again.

"What's up?" Eddie asked.

"Me and my girlfriend broke up about three weeks ago." Richie said, taking a deep breath. Eddie lifted his head up to look at him. It wasn't at all what he was expecting, but he couldn't help but feel relieved inside.

"What happened?"

"Shes just too controlling. She was never too bad, she only became controlling over certain things here and there, mainly when I wanted to hang out with people. I thought she was just clingy. But we got in a huge fight before I came because she didn't want me to come and I had enough. She's been texting me all day today and she's just stressing me the fuck out. I just want to be with you and I want her to leave me alone." Richie sighed and took a deep, shaky breath and closed his eyes.

"Why haven't you just blocked her then?" Eddie asked, playing with Richie's hair because he always talked about how much he liked it.

"I dunno, it just sucks. Three years. Down the drain."

"I get you, but whether or not you might want to get back together in the future or not, you need space. If she's not giving you that, how are you meant to get better or fix things, ya know?" Eddie asked. Even though Richie came to him for relationship advice all the time, he never knew what to say. He's never really been in one.

"I don't want to get back with her." Richie replied simply.

"Oh?"

"But it's hard being a creator with millions of subscribers and being in a public relationship."

"Oh, right." Eddie replied, not knowing what else to say. He laid his head back down, listening to his heartbeat.

"The thing is, Eddie," Richie started, taking a deep breath. "It's always been you." He said.

"What?" Eddie lifted his head again.

"I've pretty much been in love with you since we met..." He took a deep breath, "but I was scared of my sexuality so I never talked about it."

Eddie couldn't help but laugh, instantly regretting it but he couldn't help it, that was how he dealt with most things.

"Well, funny story," Eddie cleared his throat. "I've loved you since we met too." He said, and Richie stayed silent.

"Are you kidding?" was all he was able to spit out.

"Nope." Eddie said, looking at him, not knowing what else to say.

Richie couldn't think of anything to say. He leaned in and kissed Eddie instead of trying to form words.

"What the fuck, man," Richie laughed once they pulled away, looking up at the ceiling. "I've thought about doing that for so long. How come you never said anything?" he asked.

"You were in a relationship?" Eddie laughed. "Besides the few times that you guys took a break. I was too scared to say anything because I didn't want to make things weird between us, or the rest of the group." Eddie explained, pecking his lips again.

"I tried to, to make it obvious sometimes by flirting or something." Richie said.

"Yeah well, I didn't know if you were just being friendly, and I didn't want to ask because I didn't want you to think it was weird that I was seeing it as something more than it was, ya know?" Eddie smiled.

"This is ridiculous." Richie laughed, pulling Eddie on top of him to cuddle again.

"Either way, look where we are now." Eddie whispered.

"I'm glad."

"Why didn't you tell us earlier though? Or me?"

"I didn't wanna ruin anything ya know. I just didn't feel like talking about it I guess. Sorry." Richie said, kissing his head again.

"Don't be sorry." Eddie mumbled. "I love you." He said, feeling Richie's heartbeat pick up again.

"I love you too, I didn't know it was going to sound so nice hearing in person."

"We've said it on facetime before?" Eddie said, burying his head deeper into his chest.

"Not the same!" Richie laughed.

"True, true." He yawned loudly. "I'm tired, do you want to go to bed now?"

"Can we just sleep here?" Richie asked, tightening his arms around Eddie.

"I guess, they might wake us up though." He whispered.

"I don't care, I'm so tired, I don't think I could move even if I wanted to." Richie said, readjusting himself slightly to be more comfortable before closing his eyes again.

"Goodnight, I love you." Eddie mumbled, Richie could tell he was already half asleep.

"I love you too," He replied, kissing his head again before finally drifting off to sleep.
