Taylor was nervous to say the least. As she took one last look in the mirror she questioned if he'd think her red lip stick was too bold or her skirt was too short.

She didn't know much about her date and she'd only met him once. He was charming, very grounded considering he was a member of the worlds biggest boy band. Ed had told her that he thought they'd be perfect together. They had "very similar personalities" according to him. She was skeptical about the praises Ed gave though, she had almost said no to the date altogether.

She had heard he was a "serial dater" and a "huge player" and that's not what she wanted in her life. But when she thought about it more she wondered how true those things could be. After all she heard most of that from the media and they loved to talk about how she "only dated guys to write songs about them" and that when it comes to relationships she goes "insane."

As she left her house she cleared her mind putting her headphones in and playing one of her favorite songs. She focused on the story being told and thought about how Jake would always tell her she was "overthinking" the story and that it was "just a song." She would always get upset when he said that. It's never just a song to her. It's a story that's shared a bond made between the artist and the listener.

As she turned the corner toward Starbucks she checked her watch: 8:59. She questioned wether he'd show up. She held her breath as she reached the coffee shop looking down at her watch again. 9:00, she looked around at all the people waiting outside and didn't see him.

He's just running late, she thought to herself as she opened the door to the café. But as she walked through the door she heard a deep voice call her name softly and slowly. As she looked up she saw him, Harry Styles, standing up by a small table in the back corner with a two chairs. He was smiling and standing there waving her over. She smiled and waved back as she slowly walked over toward him.

"Sorry I'm late. Didn't mean to keep you waiting." She said to him nervously as she reached the table.

"You're not late at all. And you didn't keep me waiting. I just got here a little early to make sure we had a table." He replied smiling pulling a chair out for her. She sat down and noticed her nerves were slowly starting to settle.

She smiled over at him as he sat across from her. "Hi" she said softly as he sat and looked up at her.

"Hey" he replied

"Glad you could make it out today. I know it's a bit odd, going on a date on a Wednesday morning... But I have to head back to London on Friday for interviews and stuff." He explained.

"I understand completely. It's a nice change. Less paparazzi out. I like it." Taylor said looking up at him.

"It must be just as crazy for you. Being a pop star in the worlds biggest boyband. I'm surprised they don't have a tracker on you." She jokes trying to be funny but worrying about how weird she truly sounded.

Harry laughed and nodded. "That's a good one. Now don't go giving them any ideas. They're around enough already. And yeah it's hard being 'One Direction's Harry Styles' sometimes. I get they're just doing their jobs same as me and you but sometimes all the attention makes me wish I was just 'Harry' again." He explained.

"I used to feel that way. Wonder if it would be easier if I was still 'just Taylor,' but then I think of all I would've missed out on, and all the people I never would've met. It just doesn't seem worth it. Guess it's the price we pay." She replied softly sighing as she pushed the napkin around on the table in front of her.

"I never really thought about it that way. Hmm. I guess you're right. I've met some great people and I would trade the times I've had with the boys for anything." He replied.

"So I'm guessing by your choice of location for this date you enjoy a good cup of coffee every now and again as well?" Harry asked her noticing she was a bit nervous like he was so he was trying to ease the conversation.

"Of course! I am obsessed with coffee. You could say I like it a latte." She let out a short soft laugh as she made the joke. All of the sudden Harry started laughing hysterically. He threw his head back and let out a loud laugh.

"A latte! That's a good one!" He smiled.

Taylor blushed softly. No one ever laughed at her dorky jokes before. Her smile grew as her heart started pounding out of her chest. What was going on. Who was this guy? Definitely not what she expected. As they kept talking they talked about touring and their lives after becoming famous. Harry started to notice that he was doing a majority of the talking. He looked at her stopping in the middle of story about Lux looking worried.

"Is everything okay?" He asks concerned.

"Yeah. Of course." She replied softly. "Why do you ask?"

"You're just being very quiet. Didn't know if I was boring you." He said with a disappointed tone.

Taylor blushed was she messing this all up? She was trying so hard not to say anything that could ruin the date she may have just gone and done it.

"No! No you're not boring at all! I'm... It's just..." She didn't know how to explain to him why she was so off. Jake had really done a number on her. And she didn't want to scare Harry off with stories of her ex. She wasn't trying to be the crazy ex girlfriend everyone portrayed her as.

She sighed "I'm just nervous I guess."

He chuckled. "You're nervous! Really? I'm sitting here so nervous I was babbling about my hair stylists daughter! I figured I had blown it."

Taylor smiled. "No of course not! I love kids! She sounds like a sweetheart. I'd love to meet her one day." She said quickly regretting it. Was it too soon for something like that. Is he gonna think she's trying to rush into things.

She looked up at him and he had a huge smile on his face. The idea seemed to light up his eyes.

"That'd be great! I'm sure lux will love you. She loves your music. Plays it all the time backstage. Niall, my bandmates is a huge fan too. He loves your music." He said as he started rambling again. She giggled softly starting to notice he was just as nervous as she was.

Suddenly her phone started buzzing. She looked down and noticed her head of security had texted her. The paparazzi had been tipped off on her location and were around the corner.

"We need to run." She quickly grabbed Harry's hand and pulled him through the back exit and they run down the block.

Once far enough away they slow down laughing hysterically as they continue to walk toward where she was meeting her bodyguards. They kept talking and when Harry noticed Taylor started to look sad as something reminded her of Jake, he changed the topic to Christmas movies.

When they reached her car he opened the door for her and smiled. "Well Miss Swift. I really enjoyed your company today." He hugged her and helped her into her car.

"Same here Mr. Styles. We should do it again." She replied unable to control the smile on her face.

"We shall! I will call you so we can make a plan." He said before closing the door to her car.

She smiled and waved as the car pulled away from the curb leaving the curly haired boy alone on the sidewalk waving back.

She sighed leaning back in her seat. She didn't know if he'd call but she hoped he would. He seemed so different and so much like her. As she drove past the Starbucks they had just spent the past few hours in she got this feeling in the pit of her stomach. She was falling for this boy and falling hard.

All of the sudden her phone went off. She looked at it and smiled as she picked it up.

"Hello?" She answered.

"I told you I'd call." She heard from the phone. She could tell he was smirking on the other side of the phone.

"That you did. So what would you like Harry?"

And as they made plans for their next date Taylor thought to herself. Maybe this is it. Maybe he's the one... Maybe it's time to begin again.
