Rvb S10 E4 "New Family"

Present/Wind Power Facility
The Reds and Blues are seen driving in Warthogs, while Leo, Wade Carolina ride alongside on Mongooses. The Reds stop and get out, causing everyone else to do the same.

Carolina: What's going on? Why are we stopping?

Leo: We've been driving for hours, Li-

Carolina: Say it and you'll be running the rest of the way.

Leo: (Sighs) Fine, we've been driving for hours, Carolina.

Carolina: Better and we've got a lot more ground to cover, so let's keep moving.

Grif: Listen lady, I know this is your first road trip with us, but we've got a system. And that system includes snack breaks, bathroom breaks, and stopping to take pictures of funny road signs.

Carolina: That's ridiculous.

Grif: Not as ridiculous as Bonner Street.

Simmons: So close dude, so close.

Grif: It's out there Simmons, we just have to have faith that we'll find it.

Leo: You guys have been searching for years, now! How do you guys even know it exist!?

Grif: We're telling you man, it's out there! The only reason we haven't found it, is because your not putting any faith into the search!

Leo throws his arms up in defeat.

Leo: I give up with you!

Over by the blues, who are just watching them.

Wash: I should probably go stop her from killing your friends.

Wash proceeds to head in Carolina's direction

Caboose: Um Tucker, Wade, I just noticed something. Something really bad.

Tucker: Yeah, me too dude. I think our guy-to-girl ratio peaked like five years ago.

Caboose: Uh, no, no, Tucker um. Yeah, we forgot to bring Church.

Wade: Wait Caboose, did you just now realize that Church isn't here?

Caboose: He's not going to be pleased about this one.

Wade: Caboose there's nothing to worry about, we didn't leave him behind.

Caboose: Ah, yes, but you see I'm not seeing him so... where is he?

Zeta (Appears): Somewhere I wouldn't even want to be.

Church appears in a smaller form like Zeta, beside Tucker's helmet.

Church: Ugh, your right about that.

Caboose: Church! You're... you're so small. I would like to feed you a small cracker.

Tucker: (Sarcastically) How you liking the new place tinker bell?

Church: You mean your disgusting storage unit?

Tucker: What! How is my storage unit "disgusting"?

Church: Well, for starters, I had to delete fifty gigs worth of crap just so I could fit in this thing.

Tucker: Woah, hang on a second dude. You didn't delete my, uh, "Home Movies" folder did you?

Church: And that brings me to my second point.

Wade: Do any of us want to know what is in his "Home Movies"?

Church: Trust me, you don't want to know.

Over to Wash and Carolina who are now, standing on an balcony overlooking the reds and blues.

Carolina: What a bunch of worthless idiots.

Wash: Yeah, they're idiots, but not all of them. You know they're not that bad once you get to know 'em.

Carolina: Hmm.

Wash: Carolina... you need to speak to Leo.

Carolina: And why should I?

Wash: To fix things up! And firstly apologies for breaking his nose.

Carolina: It's broken for a reason, Washington.

Wash: What? His nose or your two's relationship?

Carolina clenches her hands.

Carolina: ...Were not discussing this any further.

Wash: You can't keep running away from this, Carolina. Because the longer you do, the harder it'll be to fix what's left.

There's a moment of silence.

Carolina: I don't have to fix anything.

Carolina slowly walks off from Wash along the balcony as Wash watches her leave.

Wash: (Sighs) It'll only get worse, if you don't.

Past/???
Leo and Allison we're currently inside her car, driving back to her home. While, she's in the drivers seat, Leo was in the back seat with a booster and just staring out the car window.

It was around 8pm and was also raining so, Leo simply watched the rain drops sliding down the window. Allison looked up at the rear-view mirror, seeing Leo quietly looking out.

Allison: It's Leo right? I'm Allison if your wondering.

Leo turns his attention to her with a knowing look when hearing her name.

Leo: Did... you know my parents?

Allison faces lights up with surprise.

Allison: Yeah, I knew them, I was... there friend.

Leo: Mum, talked a lot about you.

Allison: (Laughs lightly) Hopefully only the good parts.

He doesn't laugh. For the rest of the car-ride, Allison just ask Leo some simple questions, trying to get to know him more and... hopefully open him up. Back when Leo's parents where alive she visited them and was able to see Leo when he was just a baby.

She remembered seeing the joy and happiness in his eyes back then, but now... she could only see pain and sadness in them. They finally make it back to her house and she drives her car onto the driveway, putting it in park and turning the engine off.

Allison: Welp, here we are kiddo.

Leo looks out the window, searching for the house in the dark night, until his eyes found it.

Leo: It's huge.

Allison: Wasn't my choice I tell yeah, but 'someone' wanted a enormous house.

Allison opens her door and looks back at Leo.

Allison: Come on, I'll help bring your stuff in.

Leo: It's fine, I can do it my self.

Leo un-clips himself from his seat and reaches down to grabs his backpack. Allison exits the car and makes her way around to Leo's side and opening the door for him.

He hops out with his backpack strapped onto his back. As they make their way over to the house in the rain, they finally make it to the front door and Allison pulls out her keys.

She unlocks the door allowing herself and Leo to walk inside. Leo looks around as Allison locks the door, before turning her attention back to Leo.

Allison: Well, this is it... I know the next a few days are going to be strange for you, but I promise you'll fit right in.

Before she could say more, they both hear foot steps coming their way. Leo looks down the hallway and see's Allison husband.

Leonard: I see your back now, with him.

The man gazed down at Leo, making his legs shake nervously.

Allison: Leo this is my husband Leonard, Leonard meet Leo. This is the boy I was talking about earlier today.

Leo gulps, before raising his hand up towards Leonard.

Leo: U-Um, nice to meet you Leona-

Leonard: (Sternly) Just call me, sir.

Leo: Oh uh, yes sir.

As Leo continues to hold his hand out, the look he was receiving from the man immediately told him to lower it down. Leonard studies the boy for a sec, before looking back up at Allison.

Leonard: As long as he doesn't cause any trouble, he can stay I suppose.

Leonard walks away without a word. Once he's out of sight, Leo let's out a breath he didn't realise he was holding.

Leo: (Nervous) He's scary.

Allison: (Sighs) Sorry about him, he's not good with new people. But he'll warm up to you, but I'd like for to meet our daughter.

Leo: Is she nice?

Allison: As long as your nice to her.

Allison heads towards the stairs and looks up at the top.

Allison: Lina! Could you come down for a sec, sweetie! There's someone I'd like for you to meet!

They patiently wait for a few seconds as they hear a door open and a girl who's older then Leo, on top of the staircase.

Lina: Who is it, Mum?

Allison: Lina, I'd like for you to meet Leo your new brother. He'll be living with us from now, on. So, please make him feel welcome.

Leo waves at her, but she doesn't return the gesture and gives him a suspicious look.

Lina: Brother? But we're not even related!?

Allison: I know, but he's apart of our family now. So, I want you and him to get along with each other understood?

Lina: But-

Allison: (Sternly) Understood?

Lina grumbles to herself, before nodding.

Lina: Fine, but I'm not going to like him.

She makes her way back to her room, while Leo is looking down at the ground.

Leo: I don't think they like me.

Allison: They're just new to this as you are, they'll come around eventually. Come on, let me show to your room.

Allison leads Leo up the stairs and through the hallway, until they stop in front of a door. She opens the door revealing a simple room with a bed, desk and wardrobe.

Allison: I know it's not much, but-

Leo: It's ok.

Leo places his bag besides the door and starts exploring the room.

Allison: If you need anything, don't be afraid to ask. And... I know, your going through a difficult time right now. But you don't have to go through it alone, if you want to talk... I'll be here, alright?

Leo nods at her.

Leo: ...alright.

Allison pulls out her phone and checks the time.

Allison: It's almost nine o'clock now. I think it's time for bed, mister.

Leo: But I'm not- (Yawns) -tired.

Allison rolls her eyes with a smile.

Allison: Clearly. Need my help with getting ready?

Leo: I can ready my own.

Leo heads over to his bag, grabbing his pjs.

Allison: Ok then. See you in the morning, Leo.

Leo: Ok, goodbye Allison.

As Leo got his clothes and heads towards his bed, he suddenly feels someone grab his wrist, halting him. He turns around and see's Allison looking at him with a sadden expression.

Allison: Leo... don't say goodbye.

Leo looks at her in confusion.

Leo: Huh?

Allison kneels down at Leo's height and firmly holds his shoulders.

Allison: There's one thing about this family you should know and it's that we never say goodbye.

Leo: Why?

Allison: Because if we don't say goodbye, then we're never really gone, we're just... not here right now.

Allison looks into his eyes.

Allison: Promise, you won't say goodbye ok?

Leo pauses for a moment, before answering.

Leo: ...ok.

A flash of relief spreads across her face as she leans forward and plants a kiss on Leo's forehead.

Allison: Now, go get some sleep.

Allison gives him a warm smile, before standing back up and exits the room, while closing the door behind her. Leo just stands there shocked with tears coming from his eyes. In that moment, he couldn't, but think how much... how much... Allison reminded him of his own mother.
