Colorado limped to the rec room, hoping to find Nev in there. Or possibly Kodiak.
But she could do without him.
The soldier entered the room, seeing Kodiak relaxing on the couch in full armor. What the hell?
Colorado walked over and sat as far away from him as possible, fixing her eyes on the TV.
She could feel his eyes on her, for a bit longer than really necessary. Rado felt her face heating up and she turned away, hiding her smile.
"Hullo," The Australian greeted, looking at the guy right next to her. He started and turned his head back towards the TV.
"Hi."
Rado chuckled at his lack of enthusiasm. "Am I that boring, huhm?" She asks.
"..." Kodiak didn't answer, which she took as a definite yes.
"Huh. Well," Colorado patted his arm and before she knew it, she had a hand around her throat.
Kodiak was staring at her, growling. "Don't touch me!"
Rado tried gasping for air, clawing at her throat, trying to get the air she needed. Kodiak just squeezed tighter.
Stars began to dance in her vision, her arms dropped as she started to pass out. Kodiak dropped her on the floor and she gasped roughly, unable to move. Kodiak stared at her silently.
Rado pretended to keep gasping as she recovered, stealthily pulling her knife out. She suddenly leapt up, hitting him in the visor with the handle. There was a satisfying crack and he staggered backwards, hiding his visor.
Rado stood up, panting and holding the weapon.
Kodiak looked up at her, the visor over one of his eyes gone. He had soft brown eyes, but they were narrowed.
Rado stared back, her own green eyes meeting his silently. Kodiak turned around, and without a word, marched off angrily.
"Well, fuck."
She couldn't get those eyes out of her mind.
