Assemblage
Thirty of the Survey Corps members stayed with you and Levi. A camp was set up all throughout the night. You made it known to stay far away from Zeke, opting to take cover on the lowest-hanging branch of the tree. Levi stayed close to Zeke in contrast. You just watched the Scouts set up camp.
"Miss Y/n!" One of them called up to you. "Where should I put these boxes?"
"What's in 'em?" You called down.
"Spare blades."
You jerked your head to the side.
"Over there. Don't break them."
"Yes!"
"You've managed to stir up quite the respect for yourself here, Y/n," Zeke called up to you. You glanced down at him.
"I didn't ask them to respect me," you replied back down.
"That makes me wonder," Zeke said, glancing up at you from his book. "If they're respecting you because of your fearsome reputation, or because of your relationship to Captain Levi." The soldiers that overheard the conversation slowed to a halt. The camp became eerily quiet. Your eyes narrowed.
"Are you suggesting I'm merely an extension or accessory of Levi?" You asked. The Scouts glanced at Zeke.
"Of course not," he replied, "I wouldn't purposely anger someone like you."
"Your previous statement says otherwise." Your gaze and Zeke's met. You were holding back for the sole reason of allowing Levi to kill him. But if that blond-haired ape opened his mouth again, you may have to break a promise.
"Perhaps it's wiser of me to keep my mouth shut," he said, finally closing his eyes.
"Perhaps it is," you replied, leaning back against the tree. Taking a check-over of your weapons, you concluded you had everything, and rested your head against the tree.

Night time slowly came. Levi and Zeke sat at a smaller camp, a little further away from the other Scouts. Levi was like a hawk watching a mouse. You hadn't moved from your spot either. Eventually, you jumped down from the branch when the Scouts brought out a few bottles of wine.
"Hey, Miss Y/n!" One called, holding the bottle out to you. "Wanna cup?" Silently, you walked over to them and grabbed the bottle out of their hand. You read the label before looking at the seal.
'Huh?' Noticing the wrapper, you could see a little crease in it. Like someone rewrapped it after tearing it. Your gaze went over to Zeke, who was reading his book.
'Strange.'
"Well, Miss Y/n?" The one urged. You held the bottle out to him.
"Have at it."
The Scouts let out a small cheer at that before popping it open and pouring multiple glasses. You grabbed one of the glasses before a soldier could and brought it up to your nose. Taking a whiff of it, you didn't notice anything off with the smell. You held it out against the light of the campfire. With a hum, you placed it back down. You rolled your eyes lightly before walking away from them. You walked back behind Levi, nudging him with your knee.
"What?" He asked, looking up at you. When you and him locked eyes, a quick flash of realization crossed his gaze.
"Just checking in," you replied, "It's tiring, watching over Jaeger children."
"I can hear you, you know," Zeke said.
"Good." You walked away from Levi and took your place back up on the branch. As the night dragged on, you watched the soldiers drink more wine, going through two bottles in a few hours. You got comfortable on the branch, eyes staying glued to Zeke.
~
The month passed by rather quickly and blandly. Zeke didn't do much--or try anything. If you were stupid, you'd think he was actually behaving. But there was something off. Something in the back of your mind told you to stay alert. During the afternoon hours, a new Scout came running into the camp.
"Captain Levi!" They called, leaning to whisper into Levi's ear. That's when you tuned your ears into the conversation.
"What? Are you serious?"
You let out a sigh, shifting slightly.
"Oi, Y/n."
You looked down to see Levi standing with the Scout.
"Come with us for a moment."
Wordlessly, you slid off the branch and landed on the ground, walking off with Levi, the Scout, and the other one.
~
All four of you situated yourselves on a large branch a little farther away from camp. The two soldiers caught you both up to date about what was happening.
"Zachary was killed?" Levi repeated.
"Yes. The Jaegerists effectively control everything in the walls," the one replied.
"We think it's all part of some plan Zeke put together using Yelena and Eren," the other one added.
"And?" Levi urged.
"Soon, the Jeagerists may bring Eren to see Zeke like they've been demanding."
"And Pixis? Is he letting this happen?"
"As you know, the commander can be quite stubborn."
"I could probably fix that," you murmured.
"He's gonna make sure Eren gets eaten... by our own hands," Levi deduced.
"That's right," the one Scout affirmed. You looked at Levi, carefully watching his expression. He brought his hand up to his face, the tips of his fingers digging into his skull.
"Such bullshit. It's not even funny," he let out, "There's another shithead we should have eaten." The two Scouts let out a small gasps. You nudged Levi.
"Calm down," you said, "Now's not the time to lose our cool." You looked in the direction of the camp.
"What do you mean?" The one asked.
"It means we'll give the Beast to someone else," you explained.
"We'll make one of the Jaegerists into a titan and have them eat Zeke," Levi continued, "I can't tell if he's manipulating Eren, but their party's over if they lose Zeke. Go tell that to Pixis, got that?"
"You're serious, Captain?"
"The old man will come around once I chop Zeke's limbs off."
You and Levi maneuvered back down onto the ground.
"Enjoying your book?" Levi asked, walking up to where Zeke sat. You stayed a little further behind him.
"I am. For one, I've read seven times," Zeke replied.
"You've been eavesdropping more than reading."
"Can you blame me when I've read it this much?" Zeke inquired, "By the way, is there any wine left?" Your eyes narrowed, hand coming to rest on your hip.
"Not a single drop left. We've been here a month."
"Good grief. You sure know how to torture someone." Zeke hung his head with a sigh.
"Just read your book." Levi turned and walked back in your direction. He was thinking to himself—you could tell by the look on his face. Your ears picked up the whooshing sound of a soldier slashing his blades. You let out a sigh, closing your eyes for a moment.
'Man... we better get paid for this babysitting job.' When you opened your eyes, Levi was standing in front of you, looking in the opposite direction. You followed his gaze and saw Zeke running away from the campsite.
'Shit!' You ran a step forward, but stopped, turning your head to look at Levi. Zeke screamed. There were bright flashes of yellow light in the trees above you. Looking up, you noticed thirty titans falling towards the ground. You grabbed Levi around the waist and used your wires to pull you up above into the trees. When the dust and dirt cleared, thirty titans were waiting for you at the bottom, doing their hardest to climb up the tree where you were stationed. You let go of Levi, unholstering your guns.
"Go! You go after Zeke—I'll take care of this!" You exclaimed. The both of you locked eyes. "Go!" You shot a bullet through the titan's throat, ultimately taking out their nape as well. With a grunt, Levi flew in the direction that Zeke went. Any titan that came after him was shot dead by you. You looked at the large group of titans before jumping from tree to tree to avoid their bodies crashing into them.
'I swear—I'll deal with everyone myself if I have to...'
Ja ne!
