Chapter 13

Wei Ying, and Tiao Reishun with Myo Ning were on their another series of escape, and found themselves strolling within the bustling market of Yunping and for some chances accidentally saw Ko Shun'U who supposedly on his day off, that suspiciously with lecherous gaze has entered a building.

Curious as always, the chaos duo followed, with Myo Ning trying to stop them by pleading to just leave their uncle be, but this two is so unstoppable that in the end the poor young Ning ended up getting dragged. For some reason a man whose built is so huge stops them, saying: "Kids are not allow here." with scornful face that would be enough to scare kids in their ages, but other than Myo Ning, the other two are quite fearless, still after learning that it is a place only for adults Wei Ying and Tiao Reishun back off, much to Myo Ning's relief—but he relieve far too earlier, as Wei Ying and Tiao Reishun somehow able to find a way inside dragging him whilst of his quiet whining.

Inside, the three kids in ages twelve, eleven and ten has their eyes widen in bewilderment and soon blushes in embarrassment. Just down below of where they are hiding are thirty or more women are almost naked and being leered by more than forty men lusting and drooling on their exposed skins. The scent of strong perfume is mixing into the smell of nicotine which is also the caused of the thick smoke around. This unbearable smells are reaching the kids noses which bothering them that they use their sleeves to cover their noses.

"A brothel?!" Tiao Reishun whispered in almost quiet voice. She remembered once about this place from Cong Guixiu and Ko Shun'U, of course they did not directly talk in front of her but rather she caught some words and then in curiousity asked her father. All she remembers after that was Tiao Liujuan punished both of her uncles for talking on such a thing within the sect knowing there are kids around.

"Brothel?" the two quite innocent boys ask to her.

"Ahh... it is a place where—uhm—how I'll tell this—well just what you see it is a place where adults satisfy their craving for women that they are willing to pay for that kind of service..." Tiao Reishun explain using the exact words her father gave to her before. "Anyways—I think we actually need to leave now. If uncle Shun is here, then there's only one reason and we really shouldn't pry anymore."

"You are saying that after dragging me here?" Myo Ning complains.

"Oh, please forgive this sister of yours, caused curiosity always wins!"

While this conversation is going, someone caught Wei Ying's attention. He blinks and wonder why someone like him that it wasn't like older than him is in such a place.

It turns out that he is an errand boy in the brothel and the customers and women tend to pick on him, asking several questions that can be found in textbooks but instead of getting praises for answering right, they would just make fun of him and his mom.

Deciding that the adults have already plenty of fun, the boy named Meng Yao excuse himself and turn around not giving shit to their response, but it only resulted for them to be irritated. They threw fruits on him then ask where his 'thanks'. Meng Yao glares at the fruit in his feet and pick it up, bowing his head to them and again excuse himself.

Roars of laughs reaches all the kids' ears.

Wei Ying has gotten annoyed at them.

A shout came from the upstairs has got everyone's attentions; Meng Yao quickly went there.

They saw a naked woman being drag by an ugly bearded man.

Ko Shun'U stand up from his seat with three women surrounding him, this becomes cue for Tiao Reishun and Myo Ning to leave, but they sees Wei Ying motionless so Tiao Reishun drags him instead.

They saw how the man humiliate the poor naked woman while Meng Yao tries to help the woman but completely helpless. The drank man was about to punch the errand boy but Wei Ying intervened by grabbing the man's arms by his two arms. Tiao Reishun blinks, Myo Ning looks at her, both were confused, they glance at Wei Ying's previous location where he is supposedly standing but of course it is empty. They're not hallucinating! Their Brother Ying really jumps there!

The man tries to shake Wei Ying off, this time the errand boy grabs his other arm preventing the punch to land at Wei Ying. Tiao Reishun palmed her face, Myo Ning is panicking and afraid of what would happen to their brother.

Tiao Reishun clicks her tongue and takes out her fan, she was about to jump at the scene but halted by the appearance of a very familiar man behind the drunkard.

Wei Ying doesn't know whether he should be feel relief or be afraid, nevertheless he really did felt relief but also scared which makes him a decision to let go, and grabs Meng Yao, assuring him that they are alright now, Meng Yao listened and let go, crouch down at the naked woman, while Wei Ying stood in front of them , facing the drunkard that being confuse on the turn of events. Tiao Reishun and Myo Ning runs towards their brother.

The newcomer grabs the drunkard's wrist and twist it in swift movement. The drunkard wail in pain and glares at the helper, and his eyes widen in fright as the first thing he saw is black robes with golden edges and the most notable the black, red, and yellow tassel earring with bird iron, which made him stop struggling.

Over the years the Zhuque sect has gain great reputation that they are now in line up of well-known prominent sects, so it's no question that their notable bird iron with black, red, and yellow tassel could bring either fear or respect, based on the person and situation of course.

Myo Ning is literally scare now in completely different reason. The three sures and readies themselves for scolding later.

Tiao Reishun sighs, they haven't enjoyed the night market and they're already going to get an earful.

Ko Shun'U appears and taps Tiao Liujuan shoulder, trying to act all cool and innocent but...

"Going to brothel and adultery are forbidden on our sect! Aren't you're the ones that made that rule?!"

"That's..."

"And aren't you supposedly in day off?! What are you doing leading them on such a place?!" Tiao Liujuan gives an earful to the other adult that he totally forgot that he still holding the drunkard that in fear couldn't be able to break free nor even ask to be let go.

The kids witness the exchanged and snickers, not a rare sight at all.

Ko Shun 'U shrinks at Tiao Liujuan current presence, the always playful, gentle, and motherly-like head is like have a pair of horns and big fangs right now.

The three children and the sinner adult are now being secluded by Tiao Liujuan. It's been like this since right the start so the kids—just Wei Ying and Tiao Reishun—are already used, but Myo Ning is in verge of tears as this is one of rarest moment where he was scold.

"This is a good experience A-Ning!" Wei Ying whispers, which Tiao Reishun hears and agree.

Myo Ning only sighs in defeated, 'This two are so carefree!'

Tiao Liujuan stops at scolding them when he realized that the errand boy from brothel is standing not-so-far away from them and watches their amusing scene. Tiao Liujuan turns to him, his sudden silence makes Wei Ying and the rest to feel relief and looks up at him then at Meng Yao, not moving from their sitting position.

After some moment of staring session, Wei Ying stands up and run towards the errand boy.

Wei Ying, "How are you? Did that old man come back?"

Meng Yao is just staring at Wei Ying.

Wei Ying's personality and behavior is so down to earth that Meng Yao couldn't believe it. No one ever been like this towards him who is just a son of a prostitute, that the fuck who knows who his father at all is! Yet Wei Ying has smile, a genuine smile and beaming aura, yet has calm air.

"Hello? Earth to Meng Yao?"

"How..." Meng Yao gulped down to clears his throat, "where did you heard my name?"

"Ahh... I—well..." Wei Ying's hesitation in answering is rooting on the fact that they actually infiltrated the brothel and saw the whole ordeal together with their Uncle Shun's luscious action. "Well... that's..."

"A-Ying!" Wei Ying felt his heart almost jump out from him after hearing a deep, serious tone of his Uncle Liu.

"We get inside the brothel..."

"YOU WERE THERE?!"

Tiao Liujuan glares deathly at the other adult, and started to crack his bones, as if readying himself to break some few to Ko Shun'U "Why are you there?" he asked to his daughter.

Tiao Reishun answered, "In curiosity."

Tiao Liujuan whips his head, "Curiosity kills a cat! Don't you even know that?!"

"But... to become a proper cultivator we must pursue our curiosity, right? Beside we wouldn't be all curious if didn't saw Uncle Shun having that face before entering that place."

"What face?"

"It's like he was bewitch. Like that." Tiao Reishun continues "We got worried..." it's a lied.

Tiao Liujuan glares deathly to the quiet adult, but the said adult who is caught red-handed has decided to not meet his fellow's glare.

"Shun..." Ko Shun'U almost jump after realizing that Tiao Liujuan is already crouched in front of him, "If you're so horny, hurry up and get married!" his voice is much lower, almost inaudible, for the sake of the kids next to them, still Tiao Reishun who is just next to them hears it and secretly snickers.

"So, you sneak inside? And you saw everything?" Wei Ying nodded at Meng Yao. "I'm shock that someone actually able to pass the bouncers."

"A-Ying and A-Shun are both excellent at sneaking, even tonight, these kids sneak out from our sect. Surprised that you didn't went to Night-Hunt."

"We would too! But we saw how bustling this town and we're curious of the place did Bro Ying lived into."

"Oh... so you just simply saw Shun via pure luck?" Tiao Liujuan saw them nodded, and then gave Ko Shun'U a side glance and smirk, "Such a bad luck, eh Shun." he said teasingly. Ko Shun'U wants to cry, to think he caught by pure chance!

Tiao Reishun, "We saw Uncle Shun do this and do that—A-Ning's innocent has been destroyed!"

"It's your fault for insisting!"

"It's your fault that you raising suspicious!" Ko Shun'U couldn't argue with that.

"Lay low Shun. You're beaten!" Ko Shun'U head hanged low, accepting his defeat.

Wei Ying by then turn back to Meng Yao, "So?" the child asked about the question earlier.

Meng Yao could feel his concern being genuine, which is the first time he felt. He shook his head then bows at Wei Ying who immediately stop him mid-way by holding his arms.

"What are you doing?!" Wei Ying asked, shock.

"Giving my gratitude for saving me and my mom."

"You could just say 'Thank you'!" Wei Ying pouted.

"No... that's inappropriate."

'It is more befitting.' Meng Yao thought, 'He smile at me despite the place I'm working at, and he probably already guessed my birth too, but still smile like there's nothing wrong with me.'

Wei Ying tilts his head, "But there's nothing wrong with you!"

Meng Yao is shock, and started to think that Wei Ying could read minds but apparently, he unintentionally leaks out his thoughts seeing the faces of the others from the back. Meng Yao blush in embarrassment.

"So?" Meng Yao turns to Tiao Liujuan, "Did you just come here to thank A-Ying?"

'Is there anything else?' Meng Yao wants to ask but chose not to. "Yes." Meng Yao couldn't stand to look more than its necessary to Tiao Liujuan, fearing he's making same face as the others.

"How's your mom?"

"She's alright now, a friend of her's taking care of her."

"That's good!"

Meng Yao breath in and out, "I have already done what I'm came for. I'll be going now. Once again thank you for saving us esteemed Young Master!"

Meng Yao was about to leave the inn but when he hears Wei Ying asked, "Do you like being in brothel?" Meng Yao whip back his body to Wei Ying.

"OF COURSE NOT! WHO WANTS TO LIVE ON SUCH A PLACE?!" Meng Yao by then realize how loud and obviously in rage he come out, that he regretted it immediately, and quickly go back to apologize for his behavior but halted after seeing Wei Ying smiling at him.

"Brother do you want to come on our sect?"

Meng Yao is astonished at those words. It's nothing special actually, it is just an invitation to visit his sect and yet—

Ko Shun'U leaned back, Tiao Reishun shrug, and Myo Ning smiles.

"Of course, is it an invitation to 'Join' our sect, right A-Ying?" Tiao Liujuan clears.

Meng Yao looks at Wei Ying thinking he is just fooling, that they are making fun of him, but since meeting Wei Ying, Wei Ying has been showing nothing but real kindness.

"But—I am—I am son of a prostitute!"

"So?"

"'So' you say? Aren't you disgusted at me?!"

"Why should I? Is there any problem to your origin?"

"What are you talking about? Can't you understand—hahh—you're probably still young..."

Meng Yao breath in... he is been worried about the future yet this young master want to ensure it to him—It is now or never...

"Alright all finished!" Wei Ying declares after securing the black, red, yellow tassel on 'his' waistband.

Wei Ying grins while sliding doors of the chambers open wide.

"Meng Yao! Welcome to Zhuque Sect!"
