Chapter 08 Resurgence

Bewilderment is what anyone could see in this couple's face as they are staring at the building in front of them.

Five years, they question themselves, is five years enough to make a drastic change? How long has this building been here?

It is used to be an inn popular here in Yilling. Many cultivators would stay at this inn whenever they will overstay, yet now it turns into a pharmacy. Why?

They went inside the pharmacy and ask the lady in register, but the lady apologize as she doesn't have any answer for them. As if hearing their conversation, the owner came out and talks to them, thankfully he could answer some, but first he invited the couple on his office to have privacy.

Four years ago, the inn was destroyed by two people, claiming it is their karma for kicking an innocent child who has nowhere to go. Worst part of it is the parents have actually left enough money for the child to keep staying yet the Inn Owner not just kicks the kid but also did not return the money, going so far as taking all of the valuable things the kid's and his parents' own.

The two people are really strong and powerful and possibly from a sect, but he cannot recognize their uniforms.

The sect even prevents the Inn Owner to rebuild his business and prevent to even start a new one, nor even to have a partnership with others.

The wife, "What about the kid?"

It is saddening but it is one of the questions that the Pharmacy Owner doesn't have an answer.

The couple left the establishment dishearten.

The husband, "Should we go to Sect Leader Jiang? They might know or maybe they have him."

The wife only nodded, worried and fear could be seen on her. She looks at her bracelet with three stones and fed it with little of her spiritual energy, the stones all shine brightly, which makes her sigh in relief.

They arrived and got welcome in Lotus Cove.

Madam Yu, madam of Jiang Clan, embrace the woman wholeheartedly.

Madam Yu, "Where have you been Cangse Sanren?! We heard you two were killed in a night-hunt!"

The wife who turns out to be the infamous rogue female cultivator Cangse Sanren, smiles, "We survived, as you can see ZiYuan."

Wei Changze, "Someone saved us and took care of us."

Jiang FengMian, "Who it is? So, we could thank him!"

Wei Changze, "Don't think of it, she hates being disturb by people. We're kind of lucky that she still cares for CangSe."

Madam Yu and Jiang FengMian both have an idea now of who is this person base on the words of Wei Changze.

"Whatever, we're just glad you both are safe."

Eleven-year-old Jiang Cheng peaks on the adults that having a casual conversation in their guest hall.

Jiang FengMian, "By the way aren't you two have a son?"

Cangse Sanren, "Yes, his name is Wei Ying but he is missing right now."

Madam Yu, "Missing?"

Cangse Sanren nodded, "We left him on an inn in Yilling four years ago but we heard that the inn owner kicked A-Ying out leaving with nothing."

Wei Changze, "We asked around if someone seen him but there's no luck."

Madam Yu, "Wei Ying..."

Jiang FengMian, "I'm sorry but I couldn't be able to find him. I have searched for him right after I heard of the news but—" he shook his head. "But don't worry we will help you to find him. But it's already four years who knows where he is now."

Madam Yu continue to mutter the name, which finally got Cangse Sanren attention.

Cangse Sanren, "What is it ZiYuan?"

Madam Yu, "I feel that I heard that name somewhere recently."

Cangse Sanren, "Really?!" That lit a fire inside the couple.

Madam Yu, "Yeah but I can't seem to remember..."

"In Gusu!" All adults turn, "From Young Master Lan Huan!"

Madam Yu, "A-Cheng! What are you doing there?!"

"It's not nice to eavesdrops!"

"Sorry A-die! But I really heard that name from Young Master Lan!"

"How they know him?"

"I heard that Second Young Master Lan is tends to be with someone named Wei Ying!"

The adults are all stare at each other as finally, finally they have a leading clue where Wei Ying is.

Immediately Jiang FengMian send a letter to Lan Clan.

Three days afterwards the Jiang couple with their son and the Wei couple went to Cloud Recesses and welcomed by QingHeng-Jun and Lan Qiren, Madam Lan welcomes Cangse Sanren tight embrace and told her how glad she is seeing her friend is still alive. In addition, Lan Huan and Lan Zhan accompanies them.

Cangse Sanren has widen eyes, "Zhu—ZhuQue?! Wa—wait up! Why's A-Ying is in ZhuQue Sect?!"

Lan Qiren, "Calm down Cangse Sanren. Sect Leader Zhu or XingXiu CaiPi found A-Ying in Yilling and brought him back in their sect." his thin eyebrow raised in question, "What's wrong?"

"Why of all people, it has to be them..." Palm on her face, Cangse Sanren doesn't know if she could take the information in heart, though one thing is for sure she ain't like it.

Lan Qiren, "Really what's wrong with you?"

Madam Lan whisper something to Lan Qiren that made him strokes his goatee. Apparently, Madam Lan answer his bombarding curiosity.

Wei Changze, "This means... it's time—"

"NO! I'll bring A-Ying outta there!" Cangse Sanren opposed greatly.

"I recommend not to." Madam Lan said as she turns to her youngest.

Wei Changze, "Why?"

"It'll be our problem if A-Ying left, right A-Zhan."

"Mn."

"You guys calling him 'A-Ying' is nice and all but how come it will be yours to trouble?"

Madam Lan, "Just go there CangSe, stop running!"

Cangse Sanren, "Stop running you say... why? Just why?"

The Jiangs are also confused.

"A-Ying is truthfully your son."

The Lans nodded, even the stoic Lan Zhan joins in.

Cangse Sanren, "Don't change the subject!"

"A troublemaker."

"A prankster."

"Chatterbox."

"Always missing."

"Meddler."

"Someone who cannot turn a blind eye on things."

"Genius but... always getting into trouble other than being the trouble itself."

Wei Changze blinks, "Are you guys praising my wife and son or what?"

QingHeng-Jun, "Right now, the ZhuQue sect are totally different from then."

"See it for yourself and decide afterwards."

"You guys really want me there."

"No. Go whenever you want, that's who you are. But—"

"Wei Ying," for the first time since the conversation started Lan Zhan finally voice out some sentence, "please don't take Wei Ying!"

Cangse Sanren and Wei Changze are curious of what their son have done to be close this much to the main family of Rule lover clan.

Madam Lan, "By the way Ziyuan, I heard that you make your seven-year-old kid fight Tiao LiuJuan's six-year-old daughter who is not even studying cultivation yet."

Cangse Sanren, "Are you serious?!"

"I just want to know their strength. Oh well in the end—"

Cangse Sanren, "The kid hasn't started her study yet!"

Jiang FengMian facepalmed, "Believe me, I've tried to stop her."

Lan Huan, "Young Lady Tiao is strong, right A-Zhan."

"Mn."

"No way!"

Lan Qiren, "You belittle them too much Yu ZiYuan. A-Ying himself is on par with A-Zhan."

Madam Yu, "Is that so? Then time to make a visit and see it for myself."

"We wouldn't lie."

Cangse Sanren narrows her eyes towards the Lan family, "Did you just say those to provoke her?"

The Lans are quiet.

Cangse Sanren sighs,"But to challenge a six year old... ZiYuan you're really have no mercy—" Madam Yu huff, while Cangse Sanren and Madam Lan sighs.

"Where's A-Ying?" The person turns her head to left and right scanning the room hoping to see the child in question, "The other kids were nowhere as well."

"Yea! They escaped... again." O Dokun answer with smile and rather proudly.

"It is something to be proud of? It's been a year since they start doing escapees but you never once able to stop them."

Xingxiu Caipi, "That's just because we're letting them."

"Why is that?"

"There's no reason to." Tiao LiuJuan answers, "Houki you were found and saved by A-Ying through great depression thanks to his wandering about."

"I know that, but what if something would happen to them?!"

"Don't worry dear wife, Ko Shun'U is already on their tails. Beside whatever they'll face during their escapee could be added to their experience and growth. There's no need to block their path to become strong. Plus, Liu is all ready to lecture them once they're back. Or what? do you like them being trap here that doesn't grow?"

"I'm just... I'm just worried."

"I know, we all are."

"Sect Leader Zhu!"

"What?"

"People from GusuLan Sect and YunmengJiangs are here! Ma—MADAM YU IS HERE!!!"

Xingxiu CaiPi, Madam Houki, O Dokun and Tiao LiuJuan stares blankly to the disciple. They can understand his reaction for the presence of the said Madam, as they have bad memories of her, it just that their disciple's horrified expression has never fail to amuse them.

But why are they here?

"Haaaahh! That Moth Beast is really strong!" Wei Ying announced stretching his arms, feels and sounds satisfied.

"It's worth our time fighting it." Tiao Shun is actually really proud to their achievement.

"Yeah, that's nice and all but..." Myo Ning pauses knowing everyone already knows what's next.

Wei Ying, "Let's just accept Uncle's lectures!"

"We sure will, either we want it or not."

"Oh well, we deserved to be scolded, we're not still in the right age and yet we already doing this night-hunt."

"That's—" Myo Ning pauses again after he hears several groans coming from not too far away, and not just him, all of them has halted and tries to listen more. "Sounds that coming from... living corpses?"

Myo Qing, "Seems like it."

Cong Liu, "Its sounded fiercer, are they attacking someone?"

"Might be."

"Let's check it out!"

Quickly, just several feet away from where they are, Wei Ying and the other kids found the source. There, they saw a bunch of corpses walking, groaning towards a pair.

The corpses are forming a circle, surrounding a couple of teens from different sects. The young lady seems to hurt as she is sitting on the ground holding on her ankle, is what Myo Qing have observed.

Wei Ying recognized their uniforms, "The young master were from Jin Clan..."

Tiao Shun, "And the young lady seems from Jiang."

"Hm? But what are they doing here? And what have they done to get this popular?" Sarcasm, Wei Ying, Myo Ning, Tiao Shun, and Cong Liu all look at Myo Qing with blank expression but wide eyes.

"She is getting sarcastic as time passes..." Tiao Shun whisper.

"We should bring her out more often." Wei Ying whisper back, both kids are actually proud.

Cong Liu, "Should we help them?"

"Wait! Just wait!"

Everyone is puzzled as why Tiao Shun is stopping them, while having that leering face, as if she's waiting for something from there.

Indeed, just like they have observed the young lady from Jiang is wounded on her ankle, and the young master from Jin is doing all of his best to kill the living corpses, but he has limit, exhaustion could clearly see now on him, still this didn't stop him from continuing this senseless fight.

Young Lady Jiang isn't stupid to not see his exhaustion, that she bits her lower lip blaming herself for their situation. No, she didn't cause the appearance of these living corpses, it is started with a boar beast that Young Master Jin found on their walk and fought. After defeating it, using its last breath it calls all of these corpses. What's making her feel at fault is her carelessness that leading her not to able to run anymore, much more walk.

"Young Master Jin! Please leave already!"

"What are you talking about Lady Jiang?! There's no way I could leave you here!"

Pride, the young master is so prideful, Young Lady Jiang knew that he better off get eaten here than get his pride stomp for leaving a wounded lady.

Young Lady Jiang gave him many excuses that he could use once people starts questioning him for leaving her, that they definitely won't ever blame him.

"Can you just be quiet there!"

"Woah rude!" Myo Qing silently commented. The kids that are younger than the two for a year or two were still hiding behind of the bushes, watching everything to occur.

"He must be the sole heir of Jin Clan, Jin ZiXuan." Cong Liu whispers, Myo Ning nodded.

In the heat of his head Jin Zixuan blurted some words that he been keeping inside him, "There's no way I'll leave the girl I like!"

"Ah!" That stops the gears in their brains, they didn't expect that they will witness such confession.

"That's... kinda cute." Tiao Shun, Wei Ying, Cong Liu and Myo Ning all suppress themselves from laughing. A confession from the prideful young master of Jin Clan, yeah no one could agree more.

Upon realizing what he just blurted Jin ZiXuan's face heated up and accidentally let go of his sword.

"Ah!" Again, the kids are dumbfounded as they just saw a very dumb thing.

Not really waiting for their preys to get their guard down the corpses has jumps towards Jin ZiXuan ready to bite a flesh of him, but someone cut its head.

A young master that wearing a black robe, with red edges, on red sash a small bird-shape iron with black, red, and yellow tassel is dangling on his waist, and a detailed feather in flames embroidery, has appear before them, slicing the attacking corpses.

Both teens are shock that they couldn't be able to move or react, and there's no time for them to recover yet when another kid wearing the same uniform as the first one but a girl also cuts some enemies.

Suddenly appearing on Young Lady Jiang's side is another girl who checks her wound quickly. Then two more, one with bow and arrow, and one without weapon but barehanded the corpses.

After wiping out all the corpses, the first young master picks up Jin ZiXuan's sword and handed it to him, Jin ZiXuan blinks at first before taking it and thanked their young savior.

"How's is she, Sis Qing?"

"The wound itself is no danger, but..." Myo Qing peaks on the finally dead corpses. "One of those corpses has poison which entered her wound. We need to bring her in Zhen to tend it."

"Let's go home then."

"Wait! Who are you all?"

"Sis Qing are we still have time to waste?"

"None."

"Let's talk about it on the way, unless you want 'the lady you like' to turn into living corpse."

Jin ZiXuan blushes so much. "You guys heard it."

Cong Liu, "So much, you're so loud after all."

The other kids coughs, just to make sure they won't laugh but failed.

With the help from both girls, Young Lady Jiang mouthed the first girl's sword with her, while Jin ZiXuan mouthed his own.

"I'm Wei Ying, by the way!"

"I'm Tiao Shun."

"I'm Myo Qing, and that's my brother Myo Ning."

"Myo Ning."

"I'm Cong Liu."

"We are from YonghengZhuQue!"
