21: Distinctive
Tying up your hair in a pony, you gazed at your reflection in the mirror for the last time before making your way out of the room.
After so long you finally have stepped outside your room which was making you feel at ease and overcoming your nervousness and fear of seeing Mother.
Walking down the same hallways you reached the stairs and eyed down through the white marble railings at the people who were already sitting around the dinning table.
Taking a long deep breathe, you descend the flight of stairs as the people sitting on their chairs eyed your figure intently and specially Mother who was having a not-so-good expression on her face.
She is still not happy with your past actions.
"Good Morning Moth-" You slammed your lips shut and immediately looked down when you remembered her words from that day.
'Call me 'Mother' when you would actually start accepting this tradition.'
Have you started accepting their traditions? No.
Atleast not now.
"Come sit. I want you to introduce to our youngest boy of our family."
The Mother wore a wife smile as she placed her hand above Junwoo's shoulder who was sitting to her right while she sat on the huge chair resting at the centre.
You nodded you head and saw the empty chair next to Jungkook who was sitting to the left of Mother and was deeply engrossed in his own thoughts as he lightly tapped his fingers on the table.
To his opposite was Jimin sitting beside his son but he was looking into his phone and typing on the keyboard with a slight smirk. And Taehyung was beside Jimin who was already throwing you a warming smile making you internally feel calm.
"Y/n dear, don't just stand there." Mother voice beamed as you quickly shifted in your place and pulled out the chair beside Jungkook before sitting down facing Jimin in front.
"Junwoo, this is our new family member.
Jeon Y/n, your new Aunt."
You slightly smiled at the boy who looked at you in surprise before averting his eyes towards Jungkook who instantly smiled at him.
This made you taken aback.
This was your first time seeing him smiling.
"Uncke Kook! You got married behind my back!" Hearing Junwoo, Mother broke out into laughter along with others including Jungkook who was chuckling, rubbing his neck while you sat there confused.
"You promised me I will be grooming you on your marriage." The little boy puffed out his cheeks and folded his arms as he squinted his eyes towards Jungkook.
"Junwoo dear, we are sorry but we all were so busy with the arrangements and other things that we couldn't bring you back here."
Mother apologetically smiled at the younger who pouted and sat straight with sadness in his eyes.
"Come on, Jun. That's not a big deal."
Jimin rolled his eyes and patted his son's back after he finally kept his phone back in the pocket and eyed Yuna who came out of the kitchen with a long tray.
You eyed Yuna who smiled at you and kept the plate of breakfast in front of Mother before serving others. As she placed the plate in front of you, you were quite surprised by the variety of dishes on the long dining table.
"Here. I specially made your favorite chocolate pudding for you as a desert."
As soon as Junwoo saw the pudding placed in front of him, his eyes shined brightly as all the sadness disappeared from his face.
"Thank you so much, Aunt Yuna!"
He cheekily smiled and was about to take a bite of the pudding but Jimin quickly snatched the plate and glared back at Yuna.
"What the heck is this?! Didn't I always told you to not give him chocolates and sweet things in the morning?" Jimin voice slightly raised making Yuna flinch as she quickly backed away and looked down muttering small apology repeatedly.
"Dad! Don't scold her. I told her to make it!" Junwoo held Jimin's arm gaining his attention as he raised an eyebrow and huffed out in anger.
"Junwoo. You are not supposed to eat these things in the morning. Can't you listen to me for once!?"
There was a moment of silence around the table as Jimin just kept glaring at the little boy until Mother sighed and ruffled Junwoo's hair.
"Dear, you should listen to your father. That's what a good son is like."
"I'm sorry, Grandma." Junwoo pouted in sadness and bowed in apology but the older lady smiled and pointed at Jimin.
"Not me. Apologise to your father."
Junwoo hesitantly turned to look at his father while clutching his trousers tightly and without looking into his angry eyes, he bowed at him.
"I apologize for not listening to you, D-dad."
You were feeling so bad for the kid as soon as his voice cracked in the end. You could clearly see he was preventing his tears to fell down from his teary eyes since you were sitting in front of him.
"Fine. Don't do that again otherwise you would be punished."
Jimin announced and that word made your heart drop dead on the floor.
'Punishment? Just for this small thing? And to his own son?'
"Yuna, take this away and fucking bring some healthy for him."
Jimin hissed at the woman who quickly nodded and picked up the plate before rushing back towards the kitchen and in no time she brought another food for Junwoo. Healthy one.
Mother smiled at Junwoo and continued her breakfast followed by other including Yuna who finally sat on her seat beside Taehyung.
"Y/n dear." Hearing Mother's voice made you avert your attention from Junwoo to her who was smiling so widely that was creeping you so badly.
"I am sure you have adjusted to your new surrounding, it's time that you should start working and do all the household works. Yuna has been doing this for years since she became a part of this family and now it's your turn."
"Also, you need to stop wearing these jeans and shirts. That's inappropriate to wear as a married woman. Gowns and long frocks. That's it. These are few clothes that define your dignity and beauty as a married woman."
You just nodded silently and started eating the food but your other hand that was resting on your lap was clenching the black shirt that you wore.
'Does she mean that I do not have dignity because I am wearing jeans and shirts that are fully covering my body?'
"These tight clothes show your body figure to other males here in this house and that's a disrespect to your own husband."
As soon Mother finished, you suddenly felt really conscious about your clothes and took a quick look in front at Jimin when he chuckled with a small smirk but didn't looked at your way.
Even Taehyung lowered his gaze when you turned your head towards him.
Now, the words of Mother were making you uncomfortable.
"Jungkook, your should stop letting her use your clothes." Your eyes widened when Mother sternly looked at the man beside you who hummed.
'Wait? Isn't these Yuna's clothes? Why she lied to me?!'
So, all this time from the day you were brought here till now they were Jungkook's clothes?
You felt disgusted.
You really did.
Looking down at your shirt, your eyes started playing tricks on you by showing the bloody crimson spots appearing on it.
He is a criminal.
A murderer.
"Oh Jesus! Why are you glaring at your clothes, dear? Don't be mad at them for being the reason of disrespecting Jungkook. You just need to replace them." Mother giggled.
You quickly muttered a small sorry and continued your breakfast. You didn't even realized the hatred gaze you were throwing at your- Jungkook's shirt. And now as you think more about him, it was making you burn inside so badly. Your blood was boiling and your body was itching to just throw these clothes away and clean yourself thoroughly.
Taking a deep breathe, you calmed yourself down before your emotions and feelings become more evident than before.
You don't want to be in trouble.
****
A small sigh escaped your chapped lips as you successfully zipped up the sky blue gown from back after a lot of struggle since it's chain starts deep down from waist till your neck.
As you thought before, you stripped out from his clothes and took a shower again to clean your body deeply. Because you were wearing his clothes for days, you didn't realized your body smelled like him and it still does but the smell has mostly faded away after scrubbing yourself many times.
Turning off the lights, you opened the door of bathroom and stepped out, only to find Jungkook standing outside in the balcony looking at the bright sky.
You simply ignored his presence and took a quick look at yourself before stepping out of the room to meet Yuna who was waiting for your in the living room.
The sound of door getting closed brought the man standing outside back to earth. He inhaled the dangerous smoke one last time before crushing the burned cigarette in the Ash tray.
Turning around, Jungkook entered inside his room and eyed the bathroom.
Unknowingly, his body stepped near the door and he opened it wide to look inside only to find the clothes that you wore before were carelessly laying on the wet floor.
"This bitc—"
He quickly clenched his jaw, stopping himself from cursing out loud when suddenly the door of his room opened again.
"Shouldn't you knock first before barging inside someone's bedroom?"
Jungkook shifted his steps towards the bed and sat on it while eyeing the figure who simply closed the door behind without answering him.
The youngest furrowed his eyebrows when he noticed the elder's serious gaze thrown at his way.
"What happened?" Jungkook asked but the latter said only two words that were more than enough to explain the situation.
"Code Red."
****
"You look good, Y/n."
Yuna's voice chirped in your ears as you stepped down the stairs and passed a small smile towards her.
"Thanks for lending your clothes."
Yuna stood up from the couch as you approached her making her smile brightly.
"You don't need to thank me. I am glad to lend you my clothes."
"But, why did you lied those were your clothes?" You asked as she hesitantly chuckled and rubbed the back of her neck with a slight guilt.
"I'm really sorry for lying but when you were brought here for the first time, I literally had no idea who were you until Mother told me to change your dirty clothes. I didn't had idea what to do and Jun— I-I just made you wear his clothes. Yeah."
The way she recited her words was confusing but you believed her. Maybe she is nervous and guilty for lying to you.
"It's fine. I just wanted an explanation."
You shrugged away her nervous demenour not wanting to think and make a big thought out of it. That might be normal, right?
"I am sorry you'll be doing the household work all alone. I really wished I could help you but.....I can't."
You were caught off guard when she suddenly held both of your hands and sweetly smiled.
"But you can ask me anything. I will guide you in everything, Hm?"
Eyeing your hands, you were not quite sure what to answer. She was being too sweet to you but at the same time you were finding it hard to trust her.
"Yeah." Muttering lowly, you pulled your hand gently and breathed out loudly.
Yuna slowly nodded her head and took a step back catching you getting uncomfortable again.
"You know Y/n, I am really happy that after so long, I finally have someone around my age to talk and spend some time even if it's only for few minutes.
And I'm saying this with Honesty."
Saying that, Yuna didn't waited further and walked past by your figure going upstairs, leaving you standing in the middle of the room after throwing you in the pit of deep thoughts as you processed about what she just said.
'So long? Does that means Junwoo's Mother wasn't living here in the house for a long time?'
'Because if that's not the case, Yuna wouldn't have said that if Junwoo's Mother was living here and spending time with her.'
'Am I thinking too much? Or —'
"A-Aunt Y/n....?"
Snapping out from your thoughts, you looked behind you at the owner of the small hesitant and shy voice of none other than Junwoo.
"Yeah." You made your way towards him as he was standing on the last stair and staring at you with hesitancy.
"Grandma told me that y-you would be cleaning my other p-playroom. Could you p-please...?" A soft chuckle escaped from your lips as you bend down at his height and ruffled his fluffy hair.
"Of course. I'll first clean your playroom so that you can enjoy your funtime." He bopped his head up and down and within few seconds he dashed upstairs with his little legs.
You couldn't help but lowly laugh at his cuteness. He is really cute.
"Um...Y/n."
His voice.
You quickly stood up straight and looked beside you, finally noticing Taehyung who was standing quietly all this time.
"Yeah?" You replied ignoring your throbbing heart as you looked into his reluctant hazel eyes.
"I—" Taehyung licks his dried lips and fixed his suit making you finally examine his attire. He was wearing an unbuttoned grey suit above white shirt tugged inside his grey pants. This time he had his hair styled nicely, enhancing his facial features more.
"Okay, listen. I-I have to tell you something about-"
"Taehyung, didn't you leave?"
The male got interrupted by a loud voice revealing Jimin quickly coming down through the stairs and glaring at his way.
He wore a simple dark blue shirt and a black tight jeans twirling keys in his fingers.
Jimim walked past you completely ignoring your presence.....like he would care but you saw how Taehyung's eyes suddenly turned dark.
The hesitancy in his eyes was long gone when he heard Jimin's voice.
"I am going."
You were surprised at the sudden change in his tone. It was calm just few seconds ago and now- it is coarse.
"Let's go together, shall we?"
Jimin gritted his teeth with a forceful smile and grabbed Taehyung's arm before dragging him out of the house.
"What was that?"
You muttered in confusion of what just happened.
What did Taehyung wanted to tell you and why did it looked like Jimin intentionally stopped Taehyung in the mid and dragged him out?
Was he stopping him to reveal something to you?
