twenty one ♔to forgive or not to forgive, that is the question?

As they all crowded around Raven, who was lying on a bed holding onto Finn's hand, Clarke placed a burning hot sword on her wound to stop the external bleeding. Raven groaned in pain and Juniper looked away, she couldn't bear to see it.

"That should stop the external bleeding." Clarke said as she put down the knife.

"I don't understand. How did Murphy get a gun?" Finn hissed as he looked at Bellamy.

"Long story." Bellamy answered quickly as he kept his arms crossed. Juniper felt like this was all her fault, maybe she should never have been trusting of Murphy,

"We got lucky. If Murphy hit the fuel tank instead of me, we'd all be dead." Raven groaned as she kept on sweating. Juniper looked concentrated as she leaned forward.

"Wait, there's rocket fuel down there? Enough to build a bomb?" Juniper asked as she looked at Raven.

"Enough to build 100 bombs... if we had any gunpowder left." Raven answered as she gasped for breath.

"Let's get back to the reapers. Maybe they'll help us. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?" Bellamy stated as he flicked through Lincoln's journal.

"Not this enemy." Clarke replied and Bellamy closed the journal. "We saw them. Trust me, it's not an option." Clarke added and Juniper sighed.

"There's no time for this." Finn snapped before he turned to Clarke. "Can she walk or not?" Finn asked irritated.

"No. We have to carry her." Clarke answered.

"The hell you will. I'm good to go." Raven groaned as she tried to sit up but Clarke stopped her.

"Hey, listen to me. That bullet is still inside you. If by some miracle, there's no internal bleeding, it might hold until we get somewhere safe. But you are not walking there. Is that clear?" Clarke asked sternly and Raven nodded her head.

"I'll get the stretcher." Finn said before he walked away.

"Can't run away fast enough, huh? Real brave." Bellamy asked sarcastically and Finn turned around. He charged towards Bellamy angrily.

"Dying in a fight you can't win isn't brave, Bellamy, it's stupid." Finn sneered and Juniper agreed with him privately. But then she did not believe in war, what was it good for?

"Spoken like every coward who's ever run from a fight." Bellamy said back and Juniper held her hands out.

"All right, that's enough. It's time to go." Juniper stated and Clarke nodded her head.

"If they follow? It's a 120-mile walk to the ocean." Bellamy said.

"Look, we're wasting time. If he wants to stay, he can stay." Finn stated before he walked out. Juniper ran in front of Bellamy and held onto him.

"No, he can't. We can't do this without you, Bellamy." Juniper explained as she pulled out. Bellamy shrugged his shoulders as he looked down on her.

"What do you want me to say, Juniper?" Bellamy asked.

"I want you to say that you're with us. Those kids out there, they listen to you." Juniper said inspiring.

"They're lining up to go. They listen to you both more." Bellamy said looking at both Juniper and Clarke, this is when Clarke came walking up.

"I gave them an easy choice. But five minutes ago, they were willing to fight and die for you. You inspire them. I'm afraid we're gonna need that again before this day is through." Clarke explained before she walked away from Bellamy to gather everybody else.

"Be the Bellamy I fell in love with." Juniper added on top of what Clarke said before she went to follow Clarke. The two girls rounded everybody out and soon enough they were ready to leave the camp.

"Okay, here we go! Keep your eyes open! Keep your eyes open!" Rick shouted as he opened up the camp doors and everybody walked out of the camp.

Juniper stayed behind and watched everybody walk out, she nodded her head at Clarke as she walked with Finn who was carrying Raven on the stretcher. Juniper saw that Bellamy was the last one to leave and walked up to him.

"You did good here, Bell." Juniper reassured as she matched his eye line. He was taking in the camp that he helped built, that he run, that he made survivable.

"Eighteen dead." Bellamy stated and Juniper shook her head.

"Eighty-two alive. You did good." Juniper reinstated before Bellamy turned around and threw a bucket of water on the flames. The pair of them walked side by side with the camp full of smoke, this was too be the end of the camp.

They were all walking with Octavia guiding them. Juniper and Bellamy stayed silent as they walked side by side, Juniper was holding onto her spear whilst Bellamy held onto his gun. She was shaking with fear as she held the spear, she did not want to kill anyone. Soon enough they stopped, Juniper looked around everybody was confused. Then a gasp ran through the camp.

"Grounders!" Jasper screamed and everybody turned around, running back to the camp. Juniper saw a girl who was not catching up, she looked only thirteen so she held onto her hand and pulled her so she would run faster.

"Move, move, move!" Bellamy shouted as Juniper ran past him with the girl. She sat the girl down, as the girl thanked her, before climbing up the wall to see where Bellamy was.

"Where are they?" Bellamy asked as it all turned quiet. The pair were looking outside of the wall but there was nothing, no movement nothing. "Why aren't they attacking?" Bellamy asked as he pointed his gun in every direction.

"Because we're doing exactly what they wanted us to do." Clarke answered as she stood on the ground. Bellamy and Juniper turned around to face her. She was standing with Finn who had clearly passed a struggling Raven onto someone else.

"What are you talking about?" Bellamy asked confused as he looked at Juniper, Juniper had no idea what Clarke was talking about either.

"Lincoln said the scouts would be the first to arrive." Clarke answered as Octavia walked over to them.

"If it's just scouts, we can fight our way out. That's what Lincoln would do." Octavia stated like the independent woman that she was.

"We're done doing what that grounder would do." Bellamy stated as he jumped off the wall and Juniper helped Clarke on the wall so she could looked as well. "We tried it and now Drew is dead. You want to be next?" Bellamy asked passive aggressively.

"That grounder saved our lives. I agree with Octavia. For all we know, there's one scout out there." Finn explained in Octavia's defense.

"One scout with insanely good aim." Jasper commented as he looked over the wall as well with his gun pointed.

"Clarke, Juniper,  we can still do this." Octavia pleaded and Bellamy looked at Juniper.

"Looking to you, Princess. What's it gonna be? Run and get picked off out in the open, or stand and fight back?"Bellamy asked and Juniper saw that all the other camp mates were looking at them.

Finn Clarke. If we're still here when Tristan gets here...

Clarke Lincoln said "scouts." More than one. He said, "get home before the scouts arrive." Finn, they're already here.

Looks like you've got your fight.

Bellamy Ok, then. This is what we've been preparing for. Kill them before they kill us. Gunners, to your posts. Use the tunnels to get in and out. From now on, the gate stays closed. Whoa, whoa, whoa. You're not a gunner.

Octavia No, I'm not. Like you said... I'm a grounder.

Bellamy All right, let's get to those foxholes.

"So, how the hell do we do this?" Bellamy asked and he rounded everybody up to the dropship to tell his plan. Bellamy, Juniper, Clarke, Finn and Raven were all stood around the defense table.

"We've got 25 rifles with 20 rounds each, give or take. Roughly 500 rounds of ammo. While you two were gone, we made some improvements. Thanks to Raven, the gully is mined." Bellamy explained as he pointed to the areas on the map he had devised.

"Partially mined. Thanks to Murphy." Raven groaned.

"Still, it's the main route in. If the grounders use it, we'll know. She also built grenades." Bellamy added as he held up few grenades, there was no where near enough.

"It's not many." Clarke said with a weak face.

"Again, thank you, Murphy." Raven groaned as she slouched back on the chair and held onto herself. The poor girl was in pain.

"We'll make them count. If the grounders make it through the front gate, guns and grenades should force them back." Bellamy explained and Clarke raised an eyebrow.

"And then?" Clarke asked.

"Then we close the door and pray." Raven answered and Juniper was trying to think of a different plan because that was no going to work.

"And pray what? That the ship keeps them out? Because it won't." Clarke argued back getting really stressed. Juniper was staying silent, thinking of a plan to save them all.

"Then let's not let them get through the gate. Inflict as many causalities as possible." Bellamy stated and Finn scoffed angrily.

"That's always your plan, just like the bomb at the bridge." Finn groaned at the death of innocent people.

"Damn right. You got a better idea?" Bellamy asked loudly and Juniper shook her head.

"It can't be that simple." Juniper whispered as the plan came to her head. Everybody looked at her confused as Juniper looked at Raven. "You said there's fuel in those rockets, right? Enough to build 100 bombs." Juniper asked to clarify.

"I also said we've got no gunpowder left." Raven added and then Juniper smirked a little.

"I don't want to build a bomb. I want to blast off." Juniper said as she looked around at everyone. Clarke nodded her head as to say that will work.

"Draw them in close. Fire the rockets. A ring of fire." Raven grinned as she tried to sit up, thinking of away to make it happen.

"Barbecued grounders. I like it." Bellamy approved as he looked over at Juniper. Juniper smiled a little as she looked away.

"Will it work?" Finn asked, how could he even doubt Raven's mechanical ability? She was the best of the best.

"You give me enough time, I'll cook them real good." Raven grinned before everybody started to leave, Juniper knew that this was going to be the last chance she could speak to Bellamy before this was all over. If it even ended in their favor.

"Come here." Juniper said as she held back Bellamy whilst everybody else left.

"We don't have time." Bellamy whispered and Juniper shook her head.

"We are away to go into war, you will listen to me." Juniper stated and Bellamy did what Juniper asked him to do.  "I'm not hear to tell you I have moved on, you hurt me with Raven. But, life is too short to let you go because you are and have always been in my life. You are apart of me and I can't lose you." Juniper admitted and Bellamy shook his head.

"You will never lose me. I will always be with you." Bellamy promised as he held onto her arms. He knew that Juniper hated fighting and war, and that she was scared. Scared of dying, it was her fear. Or if anybody that she loved died, she has never fully gotten over Wells's death.

"I forgive you, Bellamy. Just like I forgive Raven." Juniper said and Bellamy grinned as he looked down at Juniper. "But, I can't forget." Juniper added and Bellamy nodded his head.

"Where does that leave us?" He asked and Juniper went to hold his hand.

"I still want you. Which makes me sound like I have no self-respect." Juniper laughed to herself as she looked away.

"I never meant to make you feel like that, I never meant for any of this to happen." Bellamy admitted as he looked at her with regret. He hated when he hurt Juniper in any way, he just wanted them to be normal again, whatever normal was for the pair. "I just want you, princess." Bellamy smiled a little as Juniper giggled at the name, he hadn't called her that in a while.

"Let's just forget about the past, what happened on The Ark and what happened with Raven is in the past, so I want to keep them there." Juniper explained maturely, some would call her naive, but everybody has their reasons. "Anything is possible on Earth, Wells told me that." Juniper grinned as Bellamy cupped her face as Juniper pulled him in tight.

"We will make it through this." Bellamy whispered and Juniper nodded her head. She could feel her lips just touching his. "I love you so much, Juni." Bellamy added as he caressed her cheek.

"I love you too." Juniper whimpered before she kissed him, this may be their last kiss before they went into war, so it was a good one. "Get in that drop ship or I will never forgive you." Juniper warned as she broke away from the kiss. Bellamy smirked as he nodded his head.

"You've got a deal, princess." Bellamy promised and Juniper laughed as she took off her necklace before placing it over Bellamy's head and tucking it under his top.

"Give it back to me when you survive." Juniper smiled as she touched the necklace. Bellamy placed his hand over Juniper's.

"Don't worry, I am never going to leave you, again." Bellamy added with some black humor which made Juniper giggle a little. "Are you coming?" Bellamy asked changing the subject, he needed to start preparing for this war. Juniper shook her head.

"I need to speak to Raven." Juniper stated before she went to see Raven, she was in her tent working on a plan.  She say that Juniper was standing in the entryway and looked at shocked. "How is your leg?" Juniper asked as she walked in a little as she rubbed her wounded wrists from Murphy's bounds.

"I'll get through it." Raven shrugged as she stayed seated on the chair. Juniper did not want her standing up and injuring herself.

"You know what is funny, you understand what I am going through." Juniper laughed a little as she leaned against the table, next to Raven.

"Clarke and Finn." Raven whispered and Juniper nodded her head.

"At least you had meaningless sex with Bellamy. Clarke and Finn had a connection." Juniper said and then covered her mouth because she realized that it was hurtful. Raven just dismissed as she looked away. "You were able to forgive and move on. How?" Juniper asked desperately. She knew that she had told Bellamy that she wanted to move on, but she wanted to really mean it.

"I love Finn and when you love someone you just want them to be happy. Clarke slept with Finn and had no idea about me. Finn did." Raven answered and Juniper nodded her head. Juniper did love Bellamy and knew that Bellamy loved her because he used to tell her at any given moment on The Ark. With all those good memories flooding back, Juniper knew that she did want to move on with Bellamy, he was the love of her life. So if she was willing to forgive Bellamy, but not forget, then it was only fair to allow Raven to explain herself.

"So, where does that leave us?" Juniper asked as she looked at the gunpowder Raven was inspecting.

"This is no excuse but I was upset, angry and I made a stupid mistake. Even though I knew the consequences if you were to find out." Raven explained as she looked at Juniper.  "I understand our friendship will never be the same but I'm willing to make it work. I may be a headcase sometimes but this time I took it too far." Raven admitted. Truth was, Juniper was passed the point of angry, she wanted to move on and be happy. As her Mom always told her, 'Juniper, forgiveness is the greatest gift of all, so use it wisely'.

"Trust takes time but I think we can do it, be friends again." Juniper replied and Raven hugged onto her, despite the agony in her leg. Juniper laughed as she hugged Raven back. You need twists and turns for a good friendship, nothing can be smooth sailing,

"I'm glad." Raven sighed with relief as they pulled out of the hug and Raven sat back down.

"I better go find Clarke, but you have fun with your ring of fire." Juniper laughed and Raven nodded her head before she went back to her fire planning.

"You have fun with you spear!" Raven shouted back as Juniper left the tent smiling. Juniper felt like she did the mature and adult thing about it. She was back to being happy, but god knows how long that was going to last when they were away to go into war.
