"We can't walk in silence forever, princess." Bellamy sighed as he finally caught up with Juniper. Juniper wished she had her headphones or there was a zip over Bellamy's mouth so she did not need to hear him speak. "At some point we will have to talk." Bellamy dragged out and Juniper just scoffed. 

"I've spent a year in isolation, I can be silent for months. Try me." Juniper challenged without even looking at Bellamy. Bellamy scoffed as he held his head high.

"Or do I just leave you speechless." Bellamy teased and Juniper immediately swung around to face him. Bellamy smirked to himself as he had to stop, nearly walking right into Juniper. 

"Oh sorry I forgot how humble and down to earth you were." Juniper stated punningly before she briskly turned around and started to walk again. Bellamy just laughed as he nodded his head.

"Funny one." He jibbed and Juniper looked down grinning, she felt proud that she came up with that. "I can tell you are smiling, happy with yourself." Bellamy added and Juniper immediately rolled her eyes, she hated that he knew her but loved it at the same time.

"Nope."  Juniper sighed as she continued to walk. Bellamy caught up with her and just walk by her side, without uttering a word. "What?" Juniper said as she stood still and turned to face Bellamy. She was taken back by how the sunlight shaped his face, before realizing that she had been staring at him for too long.

"You've changed." Bellamy whispered as he ran his fingers across hers. Juniper dragged her hand away, slower than she had hoped. 

"I grew up. Maybe you should too." Juniper stated bluntly as she sat down on the rock beside her. She was trying to tell him that she was over him and that he should get over her. It was easier for Juniper that way, that he moved on because she knew that she could not. It's difficult for your first love. 

"What are you doing?" Bellamy asked as Juniper began to take of her shoe, the one that was bugging for from before.

"Fixing my shoe, what does it look like?" Juniper replied snarky as she tried to work out the laces, they were all tangled up in a knot. Bellamy sighed before he patted to his upper leg. 

"Here." Bellamy said as he tried to grab Juniper's foot. Juniper snatched it back from his grasp.

"I can do it myself." She huffed as she continued to struggle with it. Bellamy sighed before he glared at her.

"Juniper." He said loud enough to get her proper attention. She did not want to cave in but at the same time she was really struggling with the shoe. Without saying a word or looking at him she placed her shoe on his upper leg. Bellamy was able to untangle the laces, once Juniper realised she could do the rest her self she pushed her foot off of Bellamy's leg causing him to fall over. Then she tied her laces and started to walk. "You're welcome!" Bellamy shouted as he limped till he could walk again.

"Screw you." Juniper cursed and Bellamy laughed to himself.

"That's what I'm telling you." He teased and Juniper placed her tongue on the side of her gum before she held his gun to the side of his face.

"Say that again." Juniper dared and Bellamy knitted his brows as he looked down at Juniper, they had quite a big height difference.

"When did you get my gun?" Bellamy asked, he was not scared because he trusted Juniper with all his heart. Juniper pulled the trigger and Bellamy still held his cool.

"When I turned around, never be caught off guard, like I showed you." Juniper instructed as she disarmed the gun and gave it back to him.

"You wouldn't shoot me." Bellamy smirked smugly as he placed it back under his shirt. Juniper shook her head as she took her knife from her pocket and placed it in her boot.

"No, but I think about it every time you open that stupid mouth of yours." Juniper replied as she started to walk off, continuing to search for Jasper.

"You flatter me, princess." Bellamy smirked before he touched the bracelet that she was wearing, the wristband telling her dad that she was alive. "Why do you keep that bracelet on anyways? I thought you liked to be free." Bellamy asked as Juniper snatched her hand back and pulled her long-sleeved tee-shirt over it. The tee was maroon with holes through it, revealing her white vest underneath. "Take it off." Bellamy challenged.

"If the bracelet is coming off on your account, so is the necklace." Juniper warned which swiftly changed the subject.

"Why do you keep it?" Bellamy asked, he did not want her to take it off, he liked to see her wearing it.

"The only good thing to come out of us." Juniper lied just as they heard a groan. "Did you hear that?" Juniper asked as they all met, Clarke, Finn, Murphy and Wells. They were all back together again.

"What the hell was that?" Finn asked as the moaning got louder. Juniper looked up at Bellamy who was standing behind her.

"Now would be a good time to take out that gun." Juniper instructed as they walked closer to the moaning. Juniper squinted her eyes as she walked through the trees to see Jasper tied to a tree with spears surrounding him.  As Juniper got closer to Jasper, immediately the ground swallowed her in.

"Juniper!" Finn shouted as Bellamy got to her first and held onto her arm. Juniper looked down and saw the spears that she was dangling above. Juniper swallowed her heart and she began to hyperventilate. 

"Finn, you promised!" Juniper shouted as Bellamy just looked down at her before he slowly and carefully pulled her up with Murphy, Wells and Finn all helping her. Bellamy took a little longer then expected, worrying Finn.

"Are you okay?" He asked and Juniper hugged Clarke. Juniper did not want to die like that and seeing her life flash before her eyes scared her a little.

"Get Jasper." Juniper instructed as the group moved around the spears, more careful about how they moved. 

"I'll climb up there and cut the vines." Finn stated as Clarke just held onto Juniper's hands comfortingly.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm with you." Wells replied and Finn shook his head. 

"No. Stay with the girls. And watch him." Finn instructed as he looked at Bellamy. "You. Let's go." Finn ordered Murphy who followed him without saying a word.

"There's a poultice on his wound." Clarke inspected as she carefully studied the body.

"Medicine? Why would they save his life just to string him up as live bait?" Wells asked confused as he looked at Clarke and Juniper.

"Maybe what they're trying to catch likes its dinner to be breathing." Bellamy answered as they looked down at the spears.

"Maybe what they're trying to catch is us." Juniper whispered worryingly as Clarke bit her lip worried. Finn and Murphy climbed up the tree and started to untie Jasper. The group just wanted out of the forest with Jasper, they were scared in case the grounders got to them first. 

"Hurry up, Murphy." Finn moaned as they untangled the knots, then they heard deep growling. Juniper cursed to herself as she looked up to the sky.

"What the hell was that?" Murphy asked as he sat on the tree. 

"Grounders?" Bellamy thought but then they heard snarling. An animal came charging at them and Bellamy searched for his gun. Wells had it and began to shoot at the animal. The crowd all looked around but the animal but it was silent. 

"Where the hell is it?" Juniper panted as she looked all around her and then it jumped at Bellamy but Wells had shot it down. 

He tried to kill it some more but he had used all the bullets before dropping the gun. Juniper marched up to Bellamy angrily as the animals life began to slip away.

"What did I say about your gun." Juniper scolded as Bellamy just looked at Wells who was staring at Clarke. Juniper sighed as she bent down and just held her head, she felt sick after today's events, especially considering it was her eighteenth birthday.

"He's stable for now, but without medicine..." Clarke began to say to Juniper who was watching Bellamy give people the cooked animal they caught earlier as food only if they took off her bracelets. Clarke caught onto what they were doing. "They're taking off their wristbands for food?" Clarke asked and Juniper silently nodded her head. "No way. I... I won't do it." Clarke stuttered in a panic, Juniper squeezed her hand as Finn joined them.

"We don't have too." Juniper smirked before she marched on up to the food, Murphy tried to stop her as she grabbed the food. Bellamy looked over in her direction to see what the commotion was about.

"Whoa, whoa. Wait, wait, wait. What, you think you play by different rules?" Murphy scoffed and Juniper laughed to herself as she pushed past him.

"Oh but Murphy I thought you said there was no rules." Juniper teased as stood next to the meat. Bellamy looked at her with no emotion in his face, he was just staring as she clutched onto her necklace. "Whatever the hell we want." Juniper shouted before Clarke and Finn joined her, they all took a piece of meat. "And one for Wells." Juniper whispered as she grabbed another one and walked after Finn and Clarke, Wells followed them. Juniper turned around to see that Bellamy had punched someone in the face out of anger.

"What are we going to do?" Clarke sighed as she bit into the meat like she had never seen food before.

"Cut this tyrannical system for the root." Juniper stated as she kept her eyes on an angry Bellamy. "Bellamy." Juniper answered and Wells just furrowed his brows but Juniper reassured him. "It's what I'm good at." Juniper smiled at Bellamy sickly in a teasing form before she took a bite out of her food.

"Are you going to forgive him?" Clarke asked and Juniper leaned into her so only she could hear the answer.

"Like you forgive Wells?" Juniper whispered and Clarke just hung her head low before she ate more of her dinner.

"Fair." She sighed.

"We haven't spoken properly in over a year." Wells admitted and Juniper felt a rush of guilt course through her veins.

"We have not spoke like this before you started to be a thing with Bellamy, we hardly saw you." Clarke added as she looked over at Wells, they both shared the same feeling in that brief moment. Something Wells had longed for. 

"It used to be just Clarke and I." Wells added as he thought back to that time they were kids. 

"I guess I hated that you made me feel more privileged and I left behind everyone except Bellamy and Octavia. I replaced yous and I made a mistake." Juniper admitted and Finn shook his head.

"You did not make a mistake, you were just living your life." Finn reassured and Juniper shook her head as she looked over in Bellamy's direction, he was speaking to one of his goons.

"I loved him and he betrayed me." Juniper sighed as she played with her boot, the one that was bugging her from before. "Is it bad that I miss him?" Juniper admitted and Clarke shook her head as she looked in Wells's direction, without him knowing.

"This is actually pretty good." Finn laughed and the delinquents joined in, he was changing the conversation to something lighter. Clarke looked over at Juniper who began to feel sad, this was the first birthday she had spent without her Mom. 

"Happy Birthday, Juni." Clarke smiled as she handed Juniper something wrapped in a small piece of the parachute. Juniper smiled in shock, she did not think that she was going to get anything.

"Clarke, what is this?" Juniper asked surprised as Wells placed his hand on Juniper's shoulder. It was the first picture she had ever done of Red Robin in a frame. "How?" Juniper asked with tears in her eyes.

"Your Dad gave it to me the night before we left. I thought it was to remember you because you were going to be floated. But it was actually for your birthday." Clarke explained and Juniper hugged her so tight.

"Thank you." She sighed happily and Clarke welled up as she held onto Juniper. The friends had not been this close in a while.

"Maybe we can survive down here, have kids, live till we are old. Be free." Wells explained with such optimism. Juniper as she finally stopped hugging her photo and allowed her hands to relax and breathe.

"That's the dream." She sighed. The future was up in the air, it was not like The Ark when everything was planned for survival, they were free to do whatever they wanted.

Juniper looked up at the sky to see it speckled in stars and a faint outline of The Ark. Juniper smiled weakly as the tears started to well up in her brown eyes.

"Hey, Mom." Juniper laughed to herself as she looked up at the brightest star. "You would be laughing at me for talking to you as if you were a star." Juniper added as she hugged tighter onto her picture. "You would say something like 'my precious robin, you are smarter than that, everybody knows that I'm the moon orbiting you, my world." Juniper said in her Mom's accent just as she heard a branch snap behind her. She immediately jumped up but it was just Bellamy holding his hands up. "You creep, how long have you been standing there?" Juniper asked as she crossed her arms over.

"Not long." Bellamy answered as he leaned against a tree. "It's not safe out here, alone." Bellamy warned as if he was her dad. Juniper scoffed as she stood up from the rock she was sitting on.

"I don't need a bodyguard." Juniper stated before she threw a rock to one of the trees and heard a boy cry out in pain. She had known she had a bodyguard given to her by Bellamy when she saw him look at her as he whispered into one of his goons ears. 

"I know." Bellamy answered as he walked closer to Juniper. Juniper was going to use this as an advantage, as a way to try and end Bellamy's reign. "I'm just looking out for you." Bellamy said sincerely and Juniper just stood there with no emotion.

"Why are you up?" Juniper asked as they started to walk back into the camp together. Bellamy just laughed.

"Just making sure somebody understood." Bellamy answered coy and Juniper raised an eyebrow as they made their way over to the tent that she had made with Wells earlier. 

"Understood?" Juniper sang a little as she dragged the word out as they reached their tent.

"What happens when you disobey." Bellamy answered and Juniper rolled her eyes as she placed her present in her tent before standing up and looking at Bellamy. "I want to show you something." Bellamy stated out of the blue and Juniper raised her eyebrows before she followed Bellamy to the drop ship where he was sleeping.

"Is this where you take off my bracelet?" Juniper asked jokingly before he held the parachute for her so she could walk in.

"If only." Bellamy teased as he walked into the drop ship behind her. Juniper looked around the room to see that he had done nothing.

"What did you want to show me?" Juniper asked as she placed her hands on her hips. Bellamy sat down on her bed before he showed her a present wrapped in a napkin.

"Where did you get a napkin from?" Juniper asked as she sat down on the makeshift bed with him. Bellamy held out a metal fork as Juniper unraveled the napkin to find some squished pie they used to eat on The Ark. 

"It didn't survive the land so good." Bellamy asked as he handed Juniper the fork. "I managed to get some before I boarded the ship, it was for your birthday." Bellamy explained as Juniper immediately dug in. Bellamy smiled as he watched her devour the pie until their was only one bit left.

"Here, you have the last bit." Juniper smirked as she stabbed her fork into it and handed him the fork. Bellamy just opened up his mouth as he smiled with his eyes. "It's my birthday, you are the one who should be feeding me." Juniper joked as she fed him the last bit of pie. 

"Happy Birthday, Juniper." Bellamy said sincerely as he looked into her big, brown eyes. Juniper smiled as she licked the pie filling off of her fingers.

"Thanks." Juniper said in the same fashion before she placed the fork on the ground and stood up. She turned to leave the ship before Bellamy held onto her arm.

"Where are you going?" Bellamy asked as he patted to the space of bed beside him. Juniper laughed as she leaned against the ladder.

"You thought one slice of pie meant I was going to sleep with you?" Juniper asked and Bellamy just shrugged. "Crawl to the end of the earth twice over and maybe i'll consider it." Juniper teased before she walked out of the ship. She laughed at Bellamy's high expectation, she had not laughed like that in a while.
