eight ♔Wells Jaha's Getting Some Justice

Juniper was sitting at in her tent, just looking at the entrance. She looked down at trembling hands, not being able to believe what she had done. She had taken someones life, but Juniper had to believe that it was for the best. Juniper stood up and looked to the gun beside her. She had to give it back to Bellamy, or maybe she just wanted an excuse to see how he was doing.

Juniper made her way to his newly built tent, it was the biggest one that they had. Juniper rolled her eyes at the thought of Bellamy getting the biggest tent, people were beginning to worship the ground that he walked on. Especially the girls, which did make Juniper jealous.

"You might want this back." Juniper whispered as she walked into the tent to see Bellamy lying on his makeshift bed. Bellamy sighed as he sat up but cocked an eyebrow when he saw Juniper holding his gun.

"Where did you get it?" He asked as Juniper walked over to him and gave him the gun. The pair were acting very distance, they were both coping with the events from tonight.

"Don't display your gun tucked into your back." Juniper explained as she took a few steps back.  "At least cover it." She added and Bellamy just nodded his head before he checked the bullets.

"Why did you have it?" Bellamy asked and Juniper just kept her eyes on him.

"In case a grounder attacked us." Juniper explained.  "And I could not let you in this camp with a gun, not with Jasper there. I knew you could not kill him with your bare hands." Juniper added truthfully, luckily Jasper was going to survive.

"Use any bullets?" Bellamy asked as he looked at Juniper. Juniper shook her head, she did not know what else to say to him. She wanted to explain why she killed Atom for him, but at the same time, Juniper did not want to relive that moment. Juniper just turned on her heels and marched back to her tent, sitting on the ground and resuming her last position.

"That was crazy about Jasper. I'm just glad he's alive." Wells smiled as he walked into the tent that he shared with Juniper. Juniper allowed herself to finally smile, first time she had smiled since Atom. Juniper realized that Atom was going to be the first death of many, especially with Grounders out there. She begged it to be difference but she just knew that deep down Atom was not going to be the last of her kills. "Today's been a good day. I finally told Clarke the truth." Wells grinned at the fact that the love of his life was back in his life.

"I knew it." Juniper grinned as Wells sat down beside her on their 'bed' which consisted of a weird blanket and dirt from the ground.

"Thank you." Wells said genuinely and Juniper just shrugged it off. Juniper was just glad that Clarke finally knew the truth and things could get back to normal. "How are you holding up?" Wells asked and Juniper shrugged her shoulders again. "You've been in this tent all night, after what happened with Atom you came straight back." Wells added and Juniper looked down at her hands whilst trying to not to remember Atom's blood seeping onto them.

"He stopped breathing." Juniper croaked before turning to Wells. "I saw his life just disappear."

"He asked for it, okay. You were doing him a favor. Do not think any less of yourself." Wells reassured and Juniper took a deep breath.

"His blood was on my hands."

"Hey, hey, hey, you saved Jasper tonight, okay. You also helped Atom, okay. You took away his pain and now he's in a better place."  Wells said trying to take away Juniper's pain as he tucked her into her bed.

"Promise." Juniper asked and Wells nodded his head. "I love you, Wells." Juniper smiled as she held the blanket out for him. Juniper did not want to sleep alone tonight, she needed someone there.

"I love you too, Juni." Wells grinned as they lay in the bed side by side. The blanket barely covering the pair of them.  "You still love him." Wells stated out of the blue and Juniper turned her head to face him. "You dealt with his best friend so he didn't have too." Wells added and Juniper sighed as she looked up at the roof of the tent.

"I can't let myself go back to him. He hurt me, ruined my life." Juniper admitted and Wells was going to tell Juniper the cold hard truth.

"Last time I checked you were at your happiest with him. As well as Clarke and myself." Wells smirked and Juniper shook her head.

"My mom died because he turned me in." Juniper stated. She wanted to let Bellamy back in but say his one move as the trigger for her Mom's death. As well as her own demise.

"He lost both his sister and his mom for doing what he did." Wells explained and Juniper had no idea why Wells of all people was sticking up for Bellamy. "I think you should cut him some slack." Wells suggested and Juniper furrowed her eyebrows.

"Why are you standing up for him?" Juniper asked curiously.

"I'm standing up for you and I know what is best for you." Wells explained and Juniper rolled her eyes as Wells looked at her grinning.

"Alright, Wells, sure." Juniper laughed as she turned to her side as she was ready to fall asleep. "Love you." Juniper shouted as she held Wells's hand.

"Love you too." Wells said before Juniper drifted off into a sleep. A few hours later she woke up and turned to her side to see that Wells was no in the bed beside her.

"Wells?" Juniper shouted in the tent before she walked outside. "Wells are you there?" Juniper shouted again as she walked up to the firepit, all she saw was Bellamy sitting on a log. "I can't find Wells." Juniper shouted as she ran out of camp to find him, Bellamy tried to stop her but Juniper was too fast. Juniper gasped as she saw a body on the floor. "Wells?" She muttered quietly as she looked at the dead body of her best friend.

Juniper did not know what to do, some others had gathered around, looking at the body and Juniper just collapsed.

"It's okay, you are okay." Bellamy cooed as he lifted up Juniper was half-in half-out. She held onto Bellamy as she started to cry.

"This is all just a dream." Juniper repeated over and over again. Bellamy could not give her an answer. "It's a dream, right?" Juniper asked as Bellamy started walking with Juniper in his arms.

"Let's get you back, okay?" Bellamy smiled and Juniper allowed herself to fall into a slumber.       "Somebody get Clarke." Bellamy shouted as he left the group and took Juniper to his tent. He rested her on his bed and just sat by her side. He did not want to leave her whilst she was like this.

"Bellamy?" Juniper asked as she slowly woke up to Bellamy sitting in his tent, looking at her. She had no idea why she was lying in his tent, completely clothed with him just staring at her, looked like he had only slept for an hour or so. "What the hell?" Juniper added before the sights of last night came rushing back to her, she thought it was dream. It all felt like a nightmare.

"Juni." Bellamy sighed and Juniper shook her head as the tears formed in her eyes. Enough tears to stop the droughts.

"No. I thought-" Juniper began to say as Bellamy sat down beside her on the ground as he slowly held onto her.

"A grounder attack. They got him last night."  Bellamy interrupted as his voice broke a little. He may not have been Wells biggest fan but Bellamy knew Wells, it was sad for him too.  "You passed out, so I took you back to my tent. I didn't know where yours was." Bellamy explained as Juniper stood up, trying to compose herself.

"Take me too him." Juniper instructed and Bellamy nodded before he guided Juniper through the group, she saw Clarke who was completely distraught. Juniper fell down to the ground beside Wells and caressed his face as people watched.

"Wells." Juniper whispered as her tears splashed off of his body. Juniper noticed something weird, the entry of the wound that killed him, it was far too clean and precise. Nothing like they had seen before, at least with the Grounders. "Oh sweet, Wells." Juniper cried as she hugged onto his lifeless body. "When a friend calls to me from the road and slows his horse to a meaning walk, I don't stand still and look around. On all the hills I haven't hoed, and shout from where I am, what is it? No, not as there is a time to talk. I thrust my hoe in the mellow ground, blade-end up and five feet tall, and plod: I go up to the stone wall for a friendly visit." Juniper recited, it was his favorite poem, he used to read it all the time in the library. He prided on the fact that he could recite it.  "Sleep tight for we shall meet again." Juniper whispered before she took off her jacket and covered the main part of his face and chest area.

"Jun-" Clarke whispered to get her attention as she stood up. Juniper felt for Clarke, Wells came down for Clarke and he died because of it.

"I need some time." Juniper whispered before she walked to the makeshift graveyard and sat down at the place they were going to bury Wells. She just sat there and watched it all happening, she never uttered a word. Juniper just silently cried, the same way she did when she heard that her Mom had died. An hour and a half had pasted and Clarke decided it was time to speak to Juniper, so she sat down with Juniper in front of the grave.

"You've just sat here, even when they buried the body."  Clarke whispered and Juniper stayed silent. "I brought you some nuts." Clarke smiled a little as she handed Juniper the food. Juniper took it but did not eat it despite her craving hunger.

"It was not a grounder attack." Juniper uttered and Clarke shook her head. She thought that Juniper was going delusional or something.

"Juniper-" Clarke whispered but Juniper snapped her head to face Clarke.

"I was there. I saw him there." Juniper snapped angrily as Clarke tried to comfort her.

"You passed out." Clarke reasoned but Juniper knew what she saw last night.

"The entry wound was too clean. A grounder would have been more hasty and gruesome, this was pathetic." Juniper replied and Clarke was not believing Juniper, she knew what seeing a loved one die could do to you, it happened to her as well. "There is either more of us out there that isn't a grounder, or it was someone in this camp." Juniper explained but Clarke was not in the mood for that. She wanted to talk about Wells and not what happened.

"Let's just talk about Wells." Clarke smiled as Juniper rested her head on Clarke's shoulder.

"Last night, he was so happy to have you back in his life that he told me to forgive Bellamy." Juniper said gently as she wiped away her cascading tear.

"Forgive Bellamy?" Clarke asked shocked and Juniper smiled as she nodded her head.

"Cut him some slack was his words." Juniper recited and Clarke laughed herself. "Who knows? Maybe I should?" Juniper suggested optimistic before she looked down at Wells's grave. "Life is short, you know." Juniper whispered and she felt Clarke nodded her head as it grazed her own.

"He let me hate him so that I wouldn't hate my mother." Clarke croaked as she looked down at her hands rested on her legs. "My mother killed my father. Just wish there was something I could do. To tell her I know. Make her feel what I'm..." Clarke began to say before she abruptly stood up.

"Where are you going?" Juniper shouted as she stopped Clarke from moving any further.

"To make her feel it." Clarke answered before she stormed off but Juniper managed to get a hold of her. Clarke looked away to mask the tears.

"Hey." Juniper whispered as she held onto Clarke's hand. "It's just us now. We do it together." Juniper said seriously and Clarke nodded her head as she smiled at her best friend. They made their way to the drop ship and Clarke got her wristband taken off first.

"Yes! I did it. It's still operational." Monty shouted and Finn just rolled his eyes as Bellamy walked in. He wanted to see if Juniper would actually take off her wristband.

"What? Monty needed a working wristband." Clarke stated as Finn glared at her.

"And you needed to punish your mother." Finn added in a snarky tone and Juniper fought for Clarke as she sat down in front of Monty.

"Look, they're running out of air, and we need their help. Our parents thinking we are dead is only temporary." Juniper said as Monty pried the wristband from Juniper's wrist. She cried in pain as the needles came out.

"Not if I can't patch it through the dropship mainframe. I can do it. We'll be talking to The Ark by nightfall." Monty explained as he started to do his technical things on the wristbands.

"I'll get to speak to my Dad." Juniper smiled to herself and Clarke nodded her head. She just wanted to see her Dad, which she never thought she would say.

"Never thought I would see you happy about that." Bellamy laughed and Juniper just gave him the middle finger before she stood up and sat down on the table next to Bellamy. Bellamy smiled as he took a step back so he was leaning against the table, his side was touching Juniper's leg. Juniper smiled the same as she looked down at the ground.

Bellamy and Juniper were sitting in Bellamy's tent, which was the biggest, they were sitting in silence. Juniper just wanted to be near someone right now, Bellamy was the best thing she had when Clarke was not there. Soon enough, Octavia, Finn and Clarke stormed in. They showed Bellamy and Juniper the knife that they had found by Wells's fingers outside of camp.

"This knife was made of metal from the dropship." Clarke stated as she dropped the knife on the table in front of Juniper.

"What do you mean?" Octavia asked and Juniper smiled to herself because she was right. This caught Bellamy's attention.

"Juniper?" Bellamy asked as Juniper held onto the knife. She inspected it clearly.

"It means the Grounders didn't kill Wells. It was one of us. I knew it, I knew it when I saw that entry wound." Juniper explained in a gentle tone before looking at Clarke who gave her a sorry look.

"So, there's a murderer in the camp?" Octavia answered and Clarke was already away to charge the camp, she needed to know who did it.

"There's more than one murderer in this camp. This isn't news. We need to keep it quiet." Bellamy said in a diplomatic fashion but Clarke was having none of it. Juniper needed to know who the knife belonged too, so she kept on inspecting it.

"Get out of my way, Bellamy." Clarke shouted at Bellamy with a fire brewing in her stomach. Juniper had never seen Clarke so demanding before.

"Clarke, be smart about this. Look at what we've achieved... the wall, the patrols. Like it or not, thinking the Grounders killed Wells is good for us." Bellamy explained and Juniper scoffed as she threw the knife on the table.

"Screw you, Bellamy." Juniper moaned and Clarke scoffed really loud.

"Oh, good for you, you mean. What... keep people afraid and they'll work for you? Is that it?" Clarke asked repetitively getting in Bellamy's face. This was when Juniper saw an etching on the knife and went to look at it further.

"Yeah. That's it. But it's good for all of us. Fear of the Grounders is building that wall. And besides, what are you gonna do... just walk out there and ask the killer to step forward? You don't even know whose knife that is." Bellamy argued against Clarke and Juniper walked to Bellamy and showed him the knife, well the bottom of the knife.

"Oh, really? J.M. John Murphy." Juniper stated as Clarke snatched the knife out of her hands and looked at it. Juniper stood next to Clarke, they were going to do everything together, like they agreed.

"The people have a right to know." Clarke said, finally calm but Juniper was out to kill. You could clearly see that as her jaw clenched and her fists were rolled into a ball, knuckles turning white.

"When I get my hands on that spineless rat." Juniper shouted before her and Clarke left the tent, the rest following after them. "You son of a bitch!" Juniper screamed as she jumped on Murphy so he was lying on the floor, straddled him, and began to punch his face.

"Get the bitch off of me." Murphy shouted as he held up Juniper's arms in defense and Finn ran towards her.

"Juniper!" Finn shouted as he lifted a crying Juniper off of Murphy. Clarke came to the front and handed Murphy his knife.

"Recognize this?" Clarke asked and Murphy looked at the etching.

"It's my knife. Where'd you find it?"  Murphy asked nonchalant. Juniper scoffed as she wiped away her tears.

"Where you dropped it after you killed Wells." Juniper shouted and a wave of fear and confusion hit Murphy's face.

"Where I what? The Grounders killed Wells, not me." Murphy asked. Juniper, noticed something, the same thing she got with Wells. The truth in the words that they spoke, but Juniper was so clouded by anger and hatred that she did not see it.

"I know what you did, and you're gonna pay for it." Clarke stated as she gritted her teeth together. Juniper was nodding her head behind Clarke.

"Really? Bellamy, you really believe this crap?" Murphy shouted to Bellamy, who was staying silent through the whole thing. He did not want to be involved in this.

"You threatened to kill him. We all heard you. You hated Wells." Juniper cried out as everybody gathered around them. It was a true fact that nobody liked Murphy, he was just psychotic.

"Plenty of people hated Wells. His father was the Chancellor that locked us up." Murphy replied in a cool tone and Juniper did the same so she would stop crying.

"Yeah, but you're the only one who got in a knife fight with him." Clarke stated getting closer with Murphy.

"Yeah, I didn't kill him then, either." Murphy replied and Juniper scoffed as she walked to Clarke and Murphy.

"That's cause he had the knife to your throat." Juniper stated and Murphy looked away, shrugging it off like it was nothing. "What you didn't want to look like the little bitch you are so you killed him?" Juniper asked challenging and Murphy's nostrils flared up as he looked down at Juniper.

"Tried to kill Jasper, too." Octavia added and Juniper cocked an eyebrow, her and Clarke knew of no such thing.

"What?" Jasper asked in the distance and Murphy rolled his eyes, he knew that was not going to help his case.

"Come on. This is ridiculous. I don't have to answer to you. I don't have to answer to anyone." Murphy shouted out and Bellamy took a step forward.

"Come again?" Bellamy asked and Murphy made his way over to Bellamy. He knew that he could confide in his friend.

"Bellamy, look, I'm telling you, man. I didn't do this." Murphy reasoned and Bellamy just kept his stance with his arms folded and his body strong.

"They found his fingers on the ground with your knife." Bellamy added and Clarke looked at the crowd.

"Is this the kind of society that we want? You say there should be no rules. Does that mean that we can kill each other without... without punishment?" Clarke asked the group and Murphy turned to face Clarke.

"I already told you. I didn't kill anyone." Murphy groaned as if he was fed up. Juniper shook her head at the boy.

"I say we float him." Octavia suggested and people nodded their heads in agreement as they cheered her on.

"That's not what I'm saying." Clarke shouted over the noise. Juniper did not want Murphy to die even though she hated him. She wanted justice but not death.

"Why not? He deserves to float. It's justice." Octavia shouted and the whole group erupted with 'float him, float him, float him'.

"Revenge isn't justice. Wells would not have wanted this!" Juniper shouted to try and get through to people.

"It's justice. Float him!" Octavia screamed at the top of her lungs. Everybody agreed as they chanted 'float him' over and over again. Soon enough people were tying Murphy up, gagging him, punching him.

"No! Get off him! Get off of him! Let him go!" Juniper screamed as they were charging Murphy down a hill, throwing him in the mud, punching across the face.

People were cheering as they ran behind. Juniper chased after the main boys, but by the time they had got there, Murphy was already strung up. Clarke joined her and they just let out a cry for help, they needed Finn here to help them. Bellamy was just watching them, he was doing nothing.

"You can't do this!" Clarke shouted as her and Juniper ran over to Bellamy. The same delinquent who punched Murphy was staring right at Bellamy.

"Bellamy! You should do it." He shouted and everyone else agreed as they shouted Bellamy's name. Bellamy looked around in a frantic, Juniper held onto Bellamy and looked into his eyes.

"I saw you in the woods with Atom. I know you're not a killer. Please." Juniper begged for Murphy's life as Murphy started to cry as his life was in the balance.

"Bellamy, don't do this. Don't..." Murphy pleaded with his mouth gagged as everybody shouted for his death. Bellamy walked towards were they hand Murphy strung up. Bellamy walked towards the table that Murphy was standing on. Juniper followed after pleading for him to stop as she cried. Bellamy aggressively kicked the table and Murphy fell to his slow and painful death.

"How could you?!" Juniper shouted as she hit Bellamy angrily. Bellamy shook his head as Murphy was seizing behind him. People were cheering in the distance.

"This is on you, princess. You should've kept your mouth shut." Bellamy shouted as he held onto Juniper to stop her from hitting him. Bellamy's eyes widened as he saw Finn charging towards them.

"What the hell are you doing? Cut him down!" Finn shouted as he ran through the crowd. He warned Charlotte to run away because she was too young to see something like that. The delinquent who punched Murphy held a nail up to Finn to get him to move away.

"Stop! Okay? Murphy didn't kill Wells!" Charlotte shouted and everybody stopped what they were doing. "I did!" Charlotte shouted as she cried. Juniper got out of Bellamy's grasp and handed Clarke his axe.

"Oh, my God." Clarke shouted before she cut Murphy down. Juniper ran with Finn to see if Murphy was okay, luckily he was still breathing. But everybody knew that Murphy was going to want revenge. Juniper watched as Bellamy just watched Charlotte, who gave him a 'I'm sorry' look.
