Averill's POV.

Once I finally came out of the forest my eye's were red and puffy from all the crying I had did when I was hiding in there. I slowly made my way back to the house just as I see Henry coming out of my families home. He spot's me and comes over with a sad look "I truly sorry for your lose Avery" he says and gives me a sad smile "Thank you Henry" I say just as he pulls me in for a kind hug which I gladly accept.

I pull away from him and smile slightly at him once more before going inside where my mother attacks me in a hug "Averill, where have you been?" she asks me with slight anger in her eye's and I just look at her "I needed some time alone" I say to her as I pull my self from her grasp and climb up to my bed as I think about Lucie and how we grew up together.

I stare at the wall as someone sits down next to me. I don't bother to look when I get smell of wood and the forest "What do you want Peter?" I ask him and at first he says nothing contemplating his next words "I wanted to make sure you were ok" he tells me and I roll my eye's "You should be asking Valerie that not me" I growl as I look over at him. He says nothing as he stands up and leaves the house more than likely to find Valerie. I finally close my eye's falling into a dreamless sleep.

When I wake the next morning I get up and get dressed. I walk outside seeing people gathering at the entrance to the forest and I run over to Henry to find out what is going on. I stop in front of him and he looks at me confused "What is happening?" I ask him curiously "We are going after the wolf, I want to make your sister hate me less" he says with a sigh. I nod and say nothing as I walk away 'Of course, it always about Valerie an getting her attention.' I say in my head.

I look around just to see Peter walking toward the group, just as i'm about to go over to him Valerie pulls him into a dark spot. It looked as if they were arguing about something and then Peter left her there. He made eye contact with me and walks toward me "I'm going after the wolf with them" he says and I look at him with wide eye's "Please be careful" I tell him honestly and he smiles slightly "At least your not biting my head off like last night" he says with a chuckle and I giggle quietly and kissed his cheek. "Just please come back and i'll make it up to you" I finished.

Peter walks over to meet the group and from the corner of my eye all I see if Valerie glaring at me with hatred in her eye's. I begin to walk toward the woods away from her but then just as I enter she is pushing me against a tree "What the hell Avery?" she asks me and I roll my eye's "Can't I be nice to him? He is my best friend to." I growl and she scoffs "That looked like more than just friendship" she says to me annoyed.

I push past her walks a little ways away before turning to look at her "At least I'm not in an arranged marriage" I say with a grin. I hear her growl and walk back into town probably going to tell mother about how mean I was being or something. I climb a little ways up a tree and sit on one of the larger spikes as I watch thing's below me. I know I shouldn't be out here alone but I feel as if the wolf won't hurt me.

As I continue to think about the wolf and everything it's killed something pops into my head 'Why go after Lucie?' I asked my self in my thought. I continue to think but keep coming up blank so I climb down and head back into town just as everyone was getting back from the wolf hunt as people were calling it now.
