Riya's POV:

As soon as Arya dropped me off, I returned to my hostel to find Meera fast asleep.

Kajal opened the door for me with a grin. " So how was the time with Mr. Handsome?"

I ignored her and went and lay down on my bed with a sigh.

Her expression turned to one of worry. She came and sat on my bed beside me. " Hey hey, what's the matter?"

"Arya's parents were there and they got to know about us. His mom didn't take it well. She wants to check if our horoscopes match."

" Ahhh I see, don't worry, you guys are meant to be. Everything will work out."

"That's what Arya said too!" I replied, a slight smile gracing my features.

" OK now go to sleep and don't worry," she said.

" Yeah good night Kajal. BTW I just remembered I didn't have dinner," I said.

She chuckled. " Are you really hungry? Do you want me to make some Maggi?"

" No not really."

"But you should eat Riya....sleeping with an empty stomach is not good," she chided, concern evident in her tone.

" It's alright for one day," I said pulling the covers over me.

She too went and lay down in her bed, unable to argue with me and switched off the lights.

The next morning I woke up to a severe stomach ache. The alarm clock blasting Radioactive right in my ears aggravated the condition.
I groaned and clutched my stomach. I felt so weak because of the pain. I wasn't even able to get up from my bed. I just slipped down further into the bedsheet and pulled the covers uptil my neck.

Kajal had woken up by then. She heard my cry and came running over.

" What's the matter Ri?" She asked worriedly.

Her care and concern for me made me smile a teeny bit.

" I have a really bad stomach ache. Also, I feel really tired," I said, yawning and quickly covering my mouth with my hand.

" Let's go to the doctor," Kajal said.

" Nooo Kaaju, I hate doctors. Please. I think rest is more than enough."

Yeah the irony of the situation was evident. I knew that I was going to become a doctor too. But somehow my childhood fear still remained.

" Fine, but if it becomes worse, we are going."

" Okay," I said, defeated.

Just then, my phone beeped. Oh yeah you must be wondering how I got one? Well dad got me one for my birthday. In all the drama happening, I forgot to mention it. I stretched my hand to take it.

" Ah no no, " Kajal said before grabbing it. " Rest and nothing else right now if you want to get better. I will read it out. You can tell me what to reply."

" Good morning love. You don't really have to come today. Mom asked your dad to send your horoscope. He sent it by email. I will let you know once they check it," Kajal read.

" Good thing," I told Kajal.
"Considering that I can't even move one limb right now."

" What do you want me to say?"

" Say okay thanks."

" Hi this is Kajal here. Unfortunately Riya has a severe stomach ache. She is protesting that she doesn't want to go to the doctor. But if the condition worsens I plan on taking her. Can you try and convince her?" She read.

" I sent it." She said, before I could complain about her making me sound like a fusspot and baby in front of my boyfriend.

" He's calling," she said. " Should I put it on speaker?"

" No please. Let me answer it."

" Okay just this once," she said, acting like my mom.

" Riya? Are you alright?" Arya questioned.

" Nooo, I can barely speak to anybody or get out of bed but I agreed because it's you," I said.

"What do you think could have caused this?" Arya questioned me, playing the role of my personal doctor.

" She didn't eat anything yesterday night. I told her I would make Maggi or something. She refused saying she was tired," Kajal screamed.

" Riya why? Anyways there's no point talking about the past. Please go to the doctor Riya. He won't eat you up. He will just give you some tablets. I will try to come over as soon as possible but I have a lot of work in the clinic today. Please take care of yourself."

" Okay," I said in a weak voice.

" Bye Riya. Love you," he said and cut the call.

I sighed and handed over the phone to Kajal.

" OK let's go. BTW what's up with Meera? Why is she still sleeping?" I asked.

" Don't know, probably one of those days."

" Meera?" Kajal called.

She opened one eye slowly and stretched her hands over her head.

" What time is it?"

" 8:30 am."

" Ohhh."

" I am taking Riya to the doctor. She has a really bad stomach ache. Will you manage here alone?"

" Sure, oh god Riya what did you eat?"

" Nothing."

" Ah that explains it. Do take care. I will sleep for a while more till you guys come back."

Such a sleepy head, I thought and inwardly chuckled.

The doctor had just prescribed some tablet and told me to take a lot of liquids. He also advised me to eat my meals at the right time and take plenty of rest.

When I returned back, I just plopped onto my bed, and stared at the wall clock, waiting for the time to pass.

At around lunch time, Kajal came and sat beside me to enquire if I felt like having anything.

" Do you feel like eating anything?" She asked.

" Maybe. I am feeling a bit better."

She brought a slice of bread and a glass of milk.
" Dip the bread in the milk and have it," she instructed.

I did as she told. It tasted good. But I still had some feeling of unease at the pit of my stomach. I really hoped I wouldn't puke it out.

Then, I took my tablet and waited for a while.
After some time, I felt my eyes drooping due to the medicine's effect. I curled myself in the blankets and went to sleep.

When my eyes opened, the first thing I saw was chocolate brown eyes staring at me. I realized he had one hand on my forehead as if to check if I had a temperature. I looked around the room to find Kajal and Meera missing.

" How did you get in here?" I whispered.

" Kajal and Meera sneaked me in. Luckily I had my stethoscope with me since I came directly from the clinic. They told the warden that I was the doctor sent to treat you. God, it was a narrow escape. That lady was so annoying. She almost didn't believe us."

I was trying to imagine the expressions on all of their faces when Arya was narrating the incidents to me. It brought an immediate smile onto my face. I already felt a lot better in his presence.

" By the way," he continued. It seemed like he was in a mood to talk today. Not that I was being an active participant in the conversation by nodding my head. So I couldn't blame him.

" Yeah?" My voice came out soft and tired.

"Panditji checked our horoscopes today."

The moment he said that, myriads of emotions ran through me. Fear, doubt, anxiety, curiosity. What would he have said? Would it have matched? Before jumping to my own conclusions, I decided it would be best to ask.

Anandith's POV:

I overheard Dad and mom discussing about Riya's horoscope. What? Was Riya getting married already? It was so strange. I decided to ask them.

" Mom what's going on? What are you guys talking about?"

"Arya's mom is very orthodox. She wants Riya's horoscope. So dad sent it to her by email. She said she would accept the relationship only if there is compatibility," mom explained.

" Ohhh."

Wow! I wondered how Riya would feel getting married into such a traditional household.

" But mom, isn't it too early to get her married?"

" Yes, it definitely is. Riya has to finish her studies before she can think of anything like that," Dad replied.

" Hmm..okay."

Riya's POV:

"So what did he say?"

" Our horoscopes match perfectly. It is such a perfect match that he said that we could have the wedding soon."

"What? I don't want to get married now . But I am so happy. I was getting so worried for nothing."

" I know, I know," Arya chuckled. " I still need my bachelor freedom."

"What did your mom say?"

" She was finally happy. I think she's okay with our relationship now."

"That's a relief," I said, happily.

" How are you feeling now?"

" Much better after all this amazing news."

" I actually thought we could celebrate but since you aren't well, we could do it some other time. But do you want to come over ?"

" Maybe not today. Tomorrow?"

" Okay you rest. I will watch you. It's pretty interesting to watch you, you know."

I blushed and turned my face away. " Shut up."

Arya leaned over and kissed my cheek.

" Ahh now I am satisfied."

I grinned at him as he spoke about his sister and how she was eagerly waiting to meet me again.

"Arya? Can you give me my phone? I should inform my parents."

" All done. Mom already told them."

" Well okay then."

Anandith's Pov:

Mom came hurriedly into my room when I was working on my laptop.

" Anandith," she sounded pretty excited. " Their horoscopes have a perfect match. We think we should go meet Arya's family even if your sister doesn't plan on getting married soon. We are taking today's 9 pm flight, since we want to surprise her. Will you manage the house alone in my absence?"

" Don't worry mom, I will," I said smiling.

I was so happy. I can spend uninterrupted time with Tanisha, I thought.

" And also, I know you're grown up and you're definitely going to call Tanisha over as soon as I leave, but be in your limits. I hope you understand what I mean."

" Mom!!!!" I protested. " Seriously? Are you seriously having THE talk with me?" I whined.

" It's important." She argued back.

" Don't worry mom. We won't do whatever you're worried about," I said, blushing.

" Alright then. Your dad and I will leave in an hour's time."

" Okay mom"

" Be safe."

Hey :)

I am really very sorry if the chapters aren't juicy enough but I am trying to end the story. It will most probably end in Chapter 30 with an epilogue.

So Riya's parents are planning to surprise her in Chennai! Isn't that super amazing?

And arya - hot , amazing, wonderful Arya is so loving and caring that no one can beat him.

I am sorry if it was boring. I just hope you liked it.
