Riya's POV:

I gobbled up my breakfast and ran up the stairs to wake up Meera and Kajal. But first, curiosity made me want to check out on Rahul and Desh. I tiptoed to the room they were sleeping in. The door was slightly ajar. And I was met with the most astonishing and adorable sight ever! RAHUL was hugging Desh! His arms were wrapped tightly around Desh's torso and his eyes were partially closed as if he was enjoying the warmth emanating from him. He had such a wide grin on his face, stretching from ear to ear that I couldn't help but smile, myself. It was so cute. I just stood there for a while, watching like a creep. Then I took out my phone and clicked a pic. As soon as I lowered the device, Rahul's eyes opened and widened in surprise. I winked at him and ran out of the room before he could say anything. Haha that was a fun start to the day.

Then I went to Kajal and Meera's room and started bouncing on the bed. I jumped up and down. It was a spring bed so it actually did go up and down along with me.

Kajal was the first to wake up. She rubbed one of her eyes sleepily and stetched her hands up over her head.

" What time is it?"

" Summertime, it's our vacation."

She started laughing. " I know silly, I meant the actual time."

I looked at my watch. " 7:15, 44 seconds."

" Oh god, you're incorrigible," she said poking Meera.

" Meeraaaaaa, wakey wakey..."

When Meera didn't wake up still I got a brilliant idea and told Kajal as well. We started tickling her.

We wanted to see if Meera was ticklish for a long time. So this was the best opportunity.

" Eeeeee hehe," she squealed jumping out of the bed like lightning had hit her. " Stop that!"

Man, she was too ticklish. If we had known, we could have used it on her when she refused to give us her medical notes.

"By the way," Kajal said. " Isn't today the day we are going back to Chennai?"

" Yup," I said. "The 4 pm flight. Can't wait to get back to college."

" College? Or endless uninterrupted dates with Arya?" She asked, winking at me.

" Both I guess," I said boldly.

Then I walked to Anandith's room with a grin on my face. It widened when I saw Anandith and Tanisha snuggled together on a couch, her head resting on his shoulder. They both were talking about something so intently and watching a video on my brother's phone. I decided not to disturb them.

Just when I turned my back to leave, Anandith spoke.

" Stop staring at us like a creep. You're welcome to join us.. But you have to bring Arya too. I got to speak to my future brother in law."

I beamed at that statement, blushing and hurried down the stairs.

I found Arya sitting with my dad, watching a cricket match. It was so odd to see them having a man to man conversation. I was extremely curious to know what they were talking about? Was it about me? Or was it about some sport in general?

Mom had left for her morning yoga classes so she was nowhere to be seen. Nikita had left early to go meet her boyfriend. Supposedly he was a Bangalorean studying in Chennai, and had come here too, to visit his parents.

I walked up to my dad and Arya.

" Dad could I take Arya away for some time?"

" Sure, but Arya remember the rules I said."

" Yes sir," he said.

Then I pulled him away from dad's sight and caught his hand. I leaned over to whisper into his ear.

" Want to watch a movie?"

" Where? In the theatre?"

" Nope, Anandith has a projector in his room. He and Tanisha are already there. He invited us too. Said that he had a lot to talk to you about."

Arya started laughing. " Must be the typical 'Don't hurt my sister or I will kick your ass' warning."

" Knowing Anandith, it perhaps is," I said, laughing along with him.

It had become so much more easier to talk to him, knowing that he reciprocated my feelings. I used to hesitate so much in the initial stages of my crush for him because I was extremely nervous to even make small talk. But now, anything I said to him, seemed to have a value. And I felt that I could share everything with him, without inhibitions.

Arya held my hand and we both went up the stairs. I think he liked holding my hand. He seemed to be doing it often.

We barged into my brother's room without even a knock. He raised his head from his phone screen to acknowledge Arya.

" Yo bro," he said grinning. " We need to have a man to man talk."

" Haha I just had one with your dad. And I don't think yours could be more embarrassing than his."

" Embarrassing?" I yelped. " Don't tell me...."

" Yeah, yeah, the same keep your hands off my daughter thing only."

" Oh God." I said, my face turning pink out of embarrassment.

" Oh no. Chill bro," Anandith said.
"We can talk about other things then."

" Sure, but let's watch the movie first," Arya said.

" By the way Tanisha," I questioned. " Where's Diya? I haven't seen her since the morning."

" Yeah she told me she came over here just to say hi. She left early morning saying she had some important business to attend to."

" Ohh.."

" Anyways so what movie do you want to watch?" Anandi asked.

" Anything, as long as it isn't horror."

" Then it's definitely horror," Anandith said with a evil grin.

Arya hi5-ed him and I mock glared.

" What?" He asked, giving me an innocent look.

" Going against your own girlfriend. Really nice of you Arya."

" Did you forget that Tanisha hates horror too Anandith?" I asked and he grinned.

" I know, that's why I am putting it. I will get extra hugs and cuddles."

" You useless idiot," Tanisha said, removing Anandith's hand which was around her shoulder and walked towards me.

" Come on babe," she told me. " We don't need boys. Let's go do something else better."

" Yeah," I agreed.
Then " You guys can have whatever talk you want to now. No disturbance," I said, dramatically stomping out of the room with Tanisha in tow.

We called Meera and Kajal and decided to have a girl's time in my room.

We managed to occupy ourselves with painting each other's nails and applying nail art while gossiping for almost two hours.

Lunch time came around pretty quickly and we ordered pizza. Desh and Rahul too were present for this. They had joined Anandith and Arya for a boy time full of video gaming while we were in my room.

After the sumptuous meal, we returned to our room to pack our things. We had to leave for the airport in an hour's time.

I ran over to my room and packed all the necessities I had brought along, all my birthday gifts and my favourite L'oreal shampoo which I had bought on this trip. Then I brushed my hair till I could no longer feel any knots and it was as silky as new. I wore my blue hairband.

" Meera! Kajal! Desh! Rahul! Arya!" I called everyone, to ask if they were ready.

I walked out of my room with my suitcase. Everyone came down with their baggage. Nikita wasn't coming back with us. She had planned to stay a few more days and return back to Chennai with her boyfriend.

Anandith offered to drive us to the airport. But we definitely couldn't fit considering that we were eight people. So Arya booked one cab. It was decided that I and Arya would go in Anandith's car and the rest would come by cab.

Dad had already left for office so only mom came to the gate to bid us good bye. " Have a safe journey darling," she said and I went over and hugged her tightly.

" Take care of her Arya," she added and Arya smiled at her. " Always."

That cute word reminded me of Fault in our Stars and I grinned.

" Bye." I waved my hands from the car window till I could no longer see my mother.

My brother switched on his music playlist as soon as the car started moving. Luckily I could stand his choice of music so it wasn't bothersome. In fact, some of his favourites were my favourite too. Like the present one.

" We could have had it aaaaa.....aaall," I sang in a loud voice.

" Rolling in the deeeeeep," Tanisha continued.

" You had my heart inside your hands," Arya sang and I looked at him grinning. He was good.

" And we played it to the beaaaat," Anandith finished.

We were so preoccupied in screaming out songs that I didn't realize we had already reached.

All of us met at the entrance- the cab arrived 10 minutes after us- and proceeded towards baggage check in and security check.

Before I left I ran over and crushed Anandith in a bear hug.

" Going to really miss you bro,"

" Of course of course," he said. He didn't bother saying it back because he knew that I knew that he would really miss me.

Then I hugged Tanisha next.

" Girlie, keep in touch okay? We have to call each other atleast once in a week deal? And I am going to miss you so much. Take care of my brother. See that he remains sane. Also make sure to knock some sense into him-"

"Hey!" it was Anandith, trying to protest.

" And take care both of you!" I yelled, walking over to my friends.

An hour later, we were on the plane, waiting for it to take off. Arya had luckily got a seat next to me and we were talking about the exhorbitant prices of things sold on flights. A sandwich was freaking 250 bucks. The rates were definitely unbelievable. Since the travelling time was only half hour to forty five minutes I didn't need a lot of things to keep me occupied. Staring into Arya's eyes was more than enough. The brown pools pulled me in so deep, that I lost track of time and reality.

" What are you thinking?" he asked me when I was doing just that.

" About your mesmerizing chocolate irises." I said dreamily.

He chuckled and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

Our moment was broken by Kajal.

" We've reached!"

We hurriedly took our baggage and exited the plane. Hot humid air hit my face and I could smell salt in the breeze as soon as I got off the plane.

Yes! It felt so good to finally be back.
