Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust

"God damnit get back here!" I said chasing down Adrien who should not be running.

"No!"

"I need to see how you're healing. I was told you'd feel better but it would scar."

"My body is a temple and no woman is allowed to see it!"

"I literally saw it last night when I was getting you out of your bloody clothes!"

"I did not consent to that!"

By now, we were outside in the room area of the suite. Others were rather sitting down or finishing getting ready. Adrien decided to jump over the counter in the kitchen putting space between us.

"I will tell him!" I threatened.

"You wouldn't dare..."

"Then stop acting like a little kid and get over here."

"It's too early for this," Kim groaned.

"You're not the one who had to chase the child down," I complained as Adrien sat on the counter taking his shirt off.

"What should I name this one? Should I name it after your boyfriend Mari?" Adrien asked.

"Please don't, but he was right. Your scar or whatever you will name looks fine. I think that this is going to be the lightest it will ever be."

"That looks gross," Chloe said walking out of her room.

"I kind of want to poke it," Alix said walking over.

"I feel naked," Adrien said about to poke it.

"Well you wouldn't feel that way if you let me check it when you woke up this morning." I slapped Adrien's had away before he made contact.

"I had too much energy to stay still."

"That explains why my coffee is gone. I going to take a closeup of it to show him. I'd told him I would keep him updated."

"Who is 'him'?" Nino questioned standing close by to look at the injury.

"I can't..." I started.

"Of course you can't."

"Do you think I like this? Do you think I like keeping secrets? I am unable to say anything because it's not my secret. Imagine if I told him your secrets. How would you feel?"

"He must already know if he was the one who patched Adrien up!"

"He doesn't. It's only me and Adrien. We hold the most powerful miraculous yet our secret identities are more known than yours. What I did last night was dangerous and would put your secrets out there. We can't afford that. The more people who know the more the world is at risk."

I looked out the window and saw once again Paris in ruins. I don't know if it's the toxin still messing with me or a warning. Whatever it is, I don't like it.

"Are you ok?" Adrien asked. It wasn't until then that I realized a tear had run down my cheek.

"I'm fine. Get dressed. We have to get there even earlier than yesterday after the whole Scarecrow incident. I'll meet you all in the lobby..."

If I heard Lila complain about having to be up this early, I will snap. I'm already in a bad mood over the fight I had this morning and the quick visions I'm having. They quickly come and go. Adrien knows for sure something is wrong, but I don't want to worry him. He almost died last night. Adrien should care more about him and his injury than me.

The bus finally came to a stop in front of Wayne Enterprises. I smile at the building. Definitely preferred this view than the Effie tower laying on its side with fire all around it.

The view got even better when we walked inside. Jason was leaning against the wall talking to Damian. The conversation ended once Damian saw me.

"I'll be right back," I told my friends walking over to the brothers.

"Mar... Dupain-Cheng," Damian said.

"Hey Little D," I replied ruffling his hair.

"Tt, it took me forever to do my hair and you just ruined it."

"Trying to look nice for a certain someone?" I questioned and in return a slight blush appeared across his face. "Probably Lila. She does claim to be your girlfriend. I did hear she went on a date with you Saturday evening. It's a little odd because I had dinner with you that same night."

"I will kill her and make it look like an accident."

"Relax. I was just teasing."

"I feel invisible right now," Jason commented.

"You always have my attention Jayjay," I replied giving him a kiss on the cheek. "However, I am surprised to see you."

"I am keeping Demon in check for the moment. Replacement is coming soon. He needed to talk with Bruce once more about extra security measures after the whole thing yesterday."

"Yeah... That's a good idea. Don't want my friends getting hurt." I ended up doing Adrien's nervous habit and scratched the back of my neck.

"What's wrong?" Damian asked clearly concerned.

"Don't want another attack. I know you can clearly handle yourself though. Maybe not with the whole murdering Lila though." Another blush.

"Tim is here so he'll be taking my spot. Come on Pix," Jason said grabbing my hand walking towards an empty hallway where no one could see or hear us. "How are you?"

"Tired."

"I'm serious. You wouldn't have come to the cave putting your identity at risk unless it was last resort."

"I didn't have a choice. I would rather let the world know who I am than have Cat die. I couldn't live with myself if anyone on my team died."

"How is he?"

"Sore but he'll be fine."

"Pixie, the guy had a metal rod sticking out of his shoulder and he's just sore?"

"Faith, trust, and pixie dust." As a response to my clever joke, Jason rolled his eyes. "Tikki's magic was able to dull the pain and speed up recovery."

"How'd you know to go to Alfred?"

"When I went over for dinner, Alfred gave off a positive aura. I knew right then he knew something about the miraculous and could be trusted."

"After everything, I'm just glad you are safe."

"How was your lecture?"

"Fine and I'd gladly get it again if that meant I could get to spend another night like that with you."

I couldn't help but blush. "I don't want to get you in more trouble than I already have."

"I thought I was a bad boy," Jason whispered in my ear as his arm creeped around my waist.

"Easy there. My class is nearby. I'm supposed to finish the tour that was started yesterday."

"What about what we started yesterday?"

"Definitely not now. I suppose to be getting through security right now."

"Fine. I'll let you go." Jason slowly moved his hand across my back putting them in his pants pocket.

"Do you have to talk to Mr. Wayne again?"

"No. I said I'd go on the tour as extra protection. Bruce might even stop by at one point to check in."

"I don't know if I can face him right now."

"So he caught you in a make out session. He is known for being a playboy. It's nothing compared to him."

"I don't even want to think about that."

Jason grabbed my hand as I lead us out of the hallway to my friends.

"Have we been given the go to get through security?" I asked Adrien.

"We were told five minutes. I get tighter security but I didn't wake up this early to stand in a lobby."

"Aww you're having a caffeine crash and are grumpy now."

"It's all your fault. You shouldn't have left your coffee in the room."

"How was I supposed to know that during the minute I was gone you were going to down my coffee?"

"You just should."

"You going to actually introduce us to your boyfriend?" Chloe asked. "I can't call him Eye Candy Number 2 anymore."

"You guys already know each other. You haven't been able to call him that for over a week."

"If I'm number two, then who was number one?" Jason asked.

"Dick."

"Dick! He should be number two! I'm much better looking."

"I'm just going to pretend I didn't hear you say you want other women to find you more attractive than Dick."
